In-Character Information Character’s name: Ostorin Falk Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: 3/4 Human, 1/4 Wood Elf Character’s age: 63 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Ostorin Falk is a bit of a rarity; his mixed heritage gives him a relatively enhanced lifespan (about 250 years maximum), and his Egalitarian attitudes and love of the Mali'Fenn alienate him from both Man and Mali. His father was a writer and his mother a prostitute, and was a very solitary child. Eventually he grew out of his more severely introverted tendencies, and developed a sense of humor. He was just a child when his family moved to the Fringe, and had no idea of what lay ahead for him. He was welcomed into Fenn with open arms in the aftermath of the plague, and spent his days doing many things. His egalitarian views threw him into severe trouble when, while defending an innocent Halfling trespassing in Fennish territory, he killed the horse of Rhegon Drakon; he was ultimately given a sentence of community service, and was released shortly after. He worked in secret with Kael'Daenor during the revolution against King Tundrak, and played a minor role in the battle that ensued. After Kael's followers left for Haelun'or, Ostorin did some brief work as a spy, reporting some (admittedly meager) information about King Tundrak to Kael. Ostorin did not stay for long after the purification of Kael, as his profoundly anti-racial-purification views made him sick to see the loss of someone he had considered so close to him; he disappeared into hiding, being seen only during the colonial travels to new lands. Now, several long decades later, he has decided to end his self-imposed exile and to return to public life. In his travels, he has matured somewhat. His choices are chosen much more prudently, and he is less prone to committing the foresightless offenses of his youth. Personality Traits: Prudent, level-headed, egalitarian at heart, good sense of humor. Ambitions: To see to it that the Fenn (and all "impure Mali", for that matter) are able to grow and prosper outside the genocidal purview of High-Elf purists. Strengths/Talents: Sharp wit, sharp mind. Good archer. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Sometimes loses his temper and lashes out. Can barely stand to be in the same room as High Elves. Death was always at his family's door, persecution their neighbor, their only escape that of festivals and holidays. Fol envisioned something greater. Peace, happiness. Where none was lesser than his brother, and all were free. He spent a good chunk of his early life scrounging for whatever knowledge he could find, building up every skill relevant. He will create unity. If not unity, peace. If not peace, a haven from the flames. The sight of Anthos dying a cruel death taught him the horrors of the demons, the monsters who are worse than any mortal man. That strengthened his resolve, as what chance would such a divided world have against the armies of Death himself? What are they like (personality)?: - In the matter of realizing his dream, he is relentless, willing to bring his vision to life by any means. If compromise does so, all the better. He was taken in by a human mage named Dwennon who saw the innate magical ability within him, and was trained until he age of 19, upon which the mage died in his sleep. His master's property in his hands, he sold the home, took the personal effects of the old man, and set out. He never forgot the kindness the man showed to him, and his teachings offset the harsh cynicism gained from his parent's deaths. What are they like? (personality): - An exceedingly clever man, he is kind and funny, if a little cynical at times. His humor ranges from deadpan and cynical to absolutely absurd. Creating obviously false statements with as deadpan a manner as possible is a particular favorite. Manipulative to his enemies, honest to his allies.
