[!] The doors of the Imperial Palace open wide as courier boys flooded the streets carrying sacks filled with invitations to distribute to several individuals within the Empire of Man.
 

TO THE LORDS AND LADIES OF THE EMPIRE OF MAN,

You are hereby cordially invited to attend the wedding of His Imperial Highness, Alexander Frederick Horen and Her Royal Highness, Analiese Natalia Bihar. The ceremony is to be held within the Cathedral of The Holy Martyrs, located in Carolustadt, capital of The Empire of Man. The ceremony shall be officiated by His Holiness, Siegmund I.

To celebrate the unification of these two houses, there will be a feast and dance held within the ballroom of the Imperial Palace. The feast will be prepared by the finest chefs the Empire has to offer and there will be plenty of drinks to go around. All of those whom reside within the Empire of Man are welcome to join as we celebrate this joyous occasion.

All guests are expected to attend in appropriate attire and conduct themselves with the same mannerisms they would show in the Imperial Court.

The issue with freebuild, in my opinion, is that it further decentralizes roleplay. We have a bunch of players either sitting alone or with one other person spread out across the map which makes finding roleplay hard, especially for new players. In addition, with freebuild, we lose the sense of having to really work your way up through RP to acquire land and make a name for yourself. It really discredits the nations that have done that in the past to have random freebuild settlements crop up proclaim themselves as a kingdom with no real RP basis behind it

So, I would prefer a purely chartered system that has clear-cut standards for people to acquire land and having to pay for such land. As others said before, this will make for better settlements to come up and try to maintain activity when they put more work into getting that land to begin with. Like anyone else, they should have to maintain activity and if they go inactive for a decent amount of time, it should be taken away. We should try to avoid all the inactive settlements and forts we see cluttering this map.

[!] A series of diligent couriers would depart the Palace of Krempost in Markev, carrying bags filled to the brim with sealed invitations intended for several persons across The Empire of Man.

To the lords and ladies of the Empire,

I am pleased to announce that you’re hereby invited to the Autumn Solstice Costume Ball, hosted in the Palace of Krempost in Markev, within the Kingdom of Haense. All guests are expected to arrive dressed in their most creative of costumes and masks, themed to fit this season of the harvest and caricatures of the many spooky creatures spoken of in fairytales and folklore. Come as a spirited spectre, or a pumpkin-headed jester. Let your imagination run wild, and may the night be filled with merriment and jubilation.

The main event for the evening will be the Costume Contest, where the hosts will choose the top three best costumes from amongst those in attendance. The winner of the top prize shall be rewarded with a very special trophy.

The Nobility and Citizens of the Empire are cordially invited to the Kingdom of Hanseti and Ruska’s “Midnight Ball” in the Krempost Palace at Markev. Originally being arranged as a traditional Hansetian ball following in the footsteps of  past royal dances, the Lord Palatine believed it wise to host this particular event as a way to bring the youthful lords and ladies of the realm together. The lady in particular to be honored at this event is the Prince-Grandfather’s daughter, Princess Analiese Bihar, in the hopes that she might acquire a fine suitor from amongst the lords and knights in attendance.

Rules and Regulations:

⚜️  The Royal Family asks you wear your finest attire, those in inappropriate garb will not be permitted into the ball

⚜️All weapons shall be checked, and if any are found, we ask you leave them at the door or keep them sheathed & secured.

⚜️ Men of noble or knightly stature who are interested in taking Her Highness’s hand in marriage must present themselves at the dias and join her in a dance.

⚜️ The evening will conclude with a final dance under the stars, accompanied by a firework show.

⚜️Hold yourself with class and dignity, those who are disruptive will be escorted out of the ball.

⚜️ Most importantly eat, drink, dance, and enjoy the night!

Festival of The Baltas

On the warm spring afternoon of the 14th of Sun’s smile, 1666, town criers filled the streets within the Duchy of Adria and the Kingdom of Renatus posting and handing out fliers, spreading the news of a great event to be held within the city of Belvitz. A winded boy would trudge up, stopping just long enough to hand over a small flier that would read:

The men and women of Renatus are hereby cordially invited to the first Festival of Belvitz to celebrate the wedding of Edgar Sarkozic and Lady Maya Vladov.

The Festival will be held on the outskirts of the city and will play host to a series of games and entertainment. Test your luck at games of chance, get your fortunes told, and bring home one of a kind treasures.

The Great Baltas River Race will be held at the beginning of the day. A race from our grand capital to the city of Belvitz. Winners gaining a prize of great worth.

The evening will end with the nuptials of the couple, as well as a grand feast.

“An Evening of Joy”

On the chilled morning of the 5th of The Deep Cold 1633, courier boys and town criers departed the narrow streets of Belvitz. From its winding rivers and rolling wheat fields, they traveled across the kingdom and her neighboring lands spreading the word of merriment and festivity to be held within the Duchy of Adria. A cheerful messenger came to a halt, handing anticipated guests a letter written in the fine calligraphy of an educated woman. The letters would read:

The Duchy of Adria, within our great Kingdom of Renatus-Marna has borne witness to a blessed occurrence within the last year: The Union of Crow and Ram. The great house of Sarkozic has come together with House var Burgundar with the unison of the Duke, John Sarkozic and Lady Amelia var Burgundar. With this comes a reason for celebration; the noble family has decided to hold a festival in honor of this joyous occasion. Hosted by Lady Maya Vladov, Mayor of Belvitz, the evening will be a most spectacular occasion, filled with joy and merriment.

The order of the day will be as follows:

- Melee Tournament -

To start off our evening, the Kingdom’s finest and aspiring soldiers will compete in a small group tournament as entertainment for our festival attendees. Come bear witness to our most experienced, aspiring, and even the poorest of combatants,, together where they will  fight in a team bracket knock-out tournament. The winning team will receive 200 minas each and a commemorative blade.

- Competitive Boat Racing -

After the tournament has commenced, men and women alike are hereby invited to participate in a boat race down from Senntisten, and along the Baltas River towards its estuary at Belvitz. No holds barred, grab a partner and try to beat your competitors back to the finish line. The winners will receive a sum of 200 minas and a small finely crafted boat statue.

- Feast -

To conclude our night, we will move into the city where we will hold a feast under the stars. Feast upon a wide assortment of foods made by the finest chefs in the land. During the feast, for those who take pride in the art of baking, a competition will be held. The gentlemen or lady with not only the finest tasting desert, but also the best presentation shall win. The winner will be granted a prize of 200 minas.
