i like the upside down neutral on the temp map i thought it was cool for the first 30 minutes or so of exploring it. very down to do based smp roleplay though

✧THE EAGLE'S WATCH✧ The Eagle's Watch was founded by Sir Laurens Henri 'the Unwavering' Halcourt d'Artois, the Marquis of Clermont. The purpose of the order is to maintain the peace throughout the Commonwealth of the Petra, but most importantly, the March of Clermont and all of its holdings. They are also charged with the protection of the House of Halcourt's most senior members. Footmen swear an oath to the Marquis or other Head of House Halcourt, who has sworn an oath to the Sovereign of our Homeland, therefore having sworn two allegiances. They are the new blood of the Order, having just completed their training. They will report to an Ensign of which there may be as many as deemed necessary by the Leader of House Halcourt. The Eagle's Watch shall be captained by the Commandant of the Order, who shall report directly to the Head of the House. Customs and Traditions Members of the Watch enjoy racing along the River Petra, practicing their boating techniques and polishing up on their aquatic defense skills in the case of an attack. The brothers-in-arms are typically seen gathered by a campfire, roasting their most recent hunt. Induction into the Eagle's Watch comes with the honor of Petrine Citizenship, as is fitting for a Levyman beneath a Liege Lord. The brave men and women of the Eagle's Watch are highly regarded among those that they serve, and enjoy access to all properties belonging to the House of Halcourt, with the exception of private quarters. Upon the completion of the first day of training, each levyman is permitted a bed, a barrel, as well as armor, food, and weaponry that is seen as necessity for guardsmen in exchange for their loyalty. Deserters are frowned upon, as they are seen as dishonorable and are sought after by their former brothers-in-arms to undergo a trial of their peers. The Rise and Fall of Olivier Alexandre Halcourt d'Artois 1761-1924 ~ Olivier was born in 1761 in Helena, then the Gem of the Holy Orenian Empire, to Claudius and Analiese Halcourt. While he was never intent on inheriting the title of Baron of Artois, and subsequently Baron of Halcourt, his brother, Victor Simon went missing out of the blue and was declared legally dead. With this, began a new era. The era of d'Artois. Olivier, up until the age of around one-hundred and fourty could remember vividly the Circuit Court proceedings and the Lords banging their gavels in their House chambers. They'd just proclaimed him the Baron of Artois, a seat he had not been educated prior to holding. At the time Olivier was employed within the Ministry of Justice, serving as a Law-Clerk. It would be many years, but he was promoted to Attorney-General, and eventually went on to be the Assistant Solicitor-General, serving the Emperor's justice wherever necessary. In these years, he would lay eyes on a certain Adeline de Motte, a bastard of House Carrion. They married, and welcomed three children into the world. Titus, Elisabeth, and Louise. He wore many hats. At one point, he was the Speaker of the City Assembly for Providence, chairing all meetings and providing notes for public consumption, and a member of the House of Commons. When he was deemed the Baron of Artois, he could no longer hold public office and retired from the legislature. The only exception to this is when he was offered a position on the Supreme Court of the Holy Orenian Empire by His Imperial Majesty, Peter III. This meant a great deal to Olivier and his kinsmen, as they had situated themselves as titans of the Legal field. When the Chief Justice passed, Olivier was appointed to his position and ran the Supreme Court, then the Halcourt Court, until the dissolution of the Empire. Not much is known about where Olivier wandered off to once his homeland had perished. It's rumored that his death came after a long vacation to Aeldin, after catching word of the Mori'quessir invasion. Also unknown is whether or not the former Baron of Halcourt maintained his sanity in his final years, peacefully passing at the ripe age of one-hundred and sixty-three.
