You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): The rules are straightforward, but some of the history is hard to really grasp. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I have been desperate for a roleplay server as a greatly enjoy drama and acting. I have not been able to find anything to my liking or anything that is remotely close to being age-appropriate for me. I searched the Internet and I finally found Lord of the Craft, which seems like an amazing plot that is appropriate for me. What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is a form of acting: You put yourself in a different character and work with others to continue a plot. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is doing things with your character that the character would not know/understand realistically. You could be using information you found out from OOC, or things that you know in real life that your character wouldn’t. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is unrealistically doing things to help you "win" that your character would not be able to do if it were real. Basically, it is not paying attention to what would really happen and allowing your character to be more powerful than it would be, hence the name "powergaming." In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Gracia Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: High Elf Character’s age: 50 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Gracia is a pure-blood High Elf who has always lived in Haelun'or and just stayed with the rest of the High Elves, as she hates violence and war, and she doesn’t know much about history. Her parents never really accepted her because she never quite fit in with the other high elves. She had always been a slightly naive little elf who didn't like to fit in her culture. As a child, Gracia would spend time making friends and not focusing on learning. She was very chatty and quirky, and the other elves tended to like her. Her parents, on the other hand, did not appreciate their daughter being so social, as they were very knowledge-based people who wanted their daughter to be as successful as they were. Her parents are both very strict, and they both have a great understanding in arcane magic. Gracia, on the other hand, was never interested in magic and only in being popular, making friends, having fun, and enjoying life. As Gracia grew older, society started to notice what a misfit she was and how she wasn't paying attention to what other elves thought. They started to push her away, making Gracia feel terrible and wishing she was normal. Gracia made few friends, and the friends she did make were only kind to her because they pitied her. To this day, Gracia continues to seek someone who understands her and accepts who she is. In an effort to change who she was, Gracia tried to learn arcane magic. She never really succeeded in reaching the Void, and since she was naive she just continued to try to master arcane magic, which almost had her have brain injury due to all of the magic she was trying to summon. Once Gracia realized the danger she was in, she quit trying to learn arcane magic. Back to the present, Gracia struggles to figure out who she is and what she should do with her life. Since she has attempted to learn arcane magic, her brain has flourished and Gracia could have lots of potential. But since she is so naive, Gracia is too caught up in little problems to realize her full potential. She just continues to try to have people accept her, and for now needs someone to help her figure out who she is and what she should do. Gracia hates violence as she is very friendly, so she has no idea how to fight, has no interest in ever fighting, and stays away from violence at all costs. So, in the present, Gracia is a young, quirky little misfit who seeks someone who understands her, and help her realize her potential.
