Siward pushed himself back from the mahogany table and stood up from his seat. The stone room was cold and quiet; when the news was delivered to his modest room, the fireplace at the corner suddenly and oddly died out and silence begun to reign supreme. He paced back and forth in the room for a while, then stopped suddenly and turned his head to the paper stack on the desk. There it was; the thing that made him pensive and insensitive to cold was still on the desk. He thought how a few papers could take him from snowy clouds to fiery caves. The quite room echoed with a sorrowful sigh. He put his hand on to the handrail of his balcony. “A man passed from this realm.” His voice was sad and woeful. “90 years before, a man arrived here with a pouch in his hand and a sword in his belt, that was all. He was alone. The entire world was saying he couldn’t. They told him ‘You can’t enter here.’ He entered. They told him ‘You can’t stay here.’ He stayed. They told him ‘You are a nomad from refugee camp, will you rise to the top of this huge world as lonely as you are?’ ‘You can’t.’ He did. And now… he’s gone.” He took a deep breath. "Dying; isn’t the matter. The matter is, dying that day you are the happiest and living the beautiful dream you can imagine. The matter is, dying at the hands of the man you knew as to be your friend and trusted the most. Whereas…” He stopped talking for a second. “…each man kills the thing he loves.” He turned his head to the southeast from the balcony. “Do you know how the trees crepitate in storm, fellow?” He turned back to the troops that rallying in the square. “That’s how it happens…”
