    Hey,

So moderators are actively encouraged to discuss bans with players, something i know i spend a lot of time doing with numerous players if a moderator isn't doing so then, by all means, approach managers and then obviously admins. They should be given a reason for the ban, though is not always right to share evidence of why a player was banned due to certain reasons for bans.

There is also the stigma related to why a person was banned and people holding this over the person and using it as a reason to be less than pleasant. We dont want to give reasons for people to feel targeted over a ban.

In most cases warning for the first offence is given, unless its a ban for a more serious offence.

As for agreement/disagreement of bans within the team itself, If someone on the moderation team disagrees with a punishment issued then it is encouraged to discuss within moderation channels on the staff discord. Something which has happened on a number of occasions. The team do discuss bans of players if there is a reason to believe the ban isn't warranted or if another punishment should be issued.

that being said we are always open to hearing ideas for new improved ways of handling rule breaks and how moderators approach those situations.

You’ve been holding a honeyed string in front of us, dripping with the sweet promise of a ban system revision. You spoke to me about one in voice chat, I offered my input. There’s been as much progress on it as there had been on it the past year. Zero. No input. No word. No announcement. No [your view]. You may be open to ideas, but are rather obviously opposed to implementing  them.

  2. A repeated complaint in regards to wars on LOTC is how each of them seem to be declared to exterminate a playerbase.

If we have more battles, more warclaims and warclaims that aren’t against capitals with the risk of playerbase-destruction, then does not that not benefit the server?

More  sieges & battles could be further enhanced if sides in a war could enforce peace after winning some sieges. EG, take this land, this title, instal this claimant, etc. All limited, of course, just to promote the winning side enforcing something else than complete destruction of the loser.

I can only see a benefit in more forts popping up. As long as they aren’t ridiculously excessive, I don’t see any other argument against them than the below:

“I seek to exterminate this nation as quick as possible, and as cheap as possible. Thus, I want as few sieges between me and my end-goal as possible.”

  3. “I am glad the true Pontiff returned and will guide us away from these *****.” Waldemar commented, drinking ale in Helena. “Really now. First it’s our emperor being illegitimate, then it’s snow elves being saintly allies and now it’s human sacrifice.”

  4. I played a holy order knight, who was also a smith. Got bored of humans and heard dwarves had better smithing RP. So I made a young dwarven smith.

Fast forward 3 OOC years and she's an archmage, been banished from dwarven kingdoms like 3 times, attacked or maimed a dozen elven nation leaders, been Grand Queen Consort and the first elected dwarven Queen, blood kin to orcs, has time travelled, has enlsaved halflings into golem bodies, has eaten halflings and kha, has fought in a dozen wars, has taught smithing to all races, has been to the Mind City and Wyrvun's prison, has been Dungrimm's chosen, has been almost assassinated VIA poison, has founded her own clan …

I got bored of the character and generally the OOC state of dwarven roleplay so I quit playing her much.

Now I roleplay a tiny dark elf, again from the bottom, whose mother' a smith. Looking forward to what the future holds for the little bean.

  5. Is this really what the story team wants a new player or a prospective player to see when they look into the implemented lore section?

There’s a couple more in the outdated lore folder. Specifically, there’s a runesmithing one, of course, which means this is a valid Medvekoma lore staff feedback since it includes a jab at Josh & his runesmithing lore.

Compare the above with this lore piece:

Sure this looks better than “Conjuration – Primodial DLC – on steam sale now!”

Can you just start denying any lore submission with meme titles straight away, and change the screenshotted two pieces that are current implemented with them?

A young dark elf watched in Haense as Marnan troops under various banners left the city. Her heart pounded, also seeing her father carrying one of the imperial standards, riding a horse ahead of the procession. The following week would be the longest she’d endure, sauntering around the streets of Haense that grew considerably more empty with the departure of the army. The weather did not ease her solitary days, neither the toy soldiers she had settled around the floor of her room. She played out the battle, step-by-step, with the help of the pieces. One night, it was the Oren brigadier and his Marnan royal guard companion victorious over the pretender Emperor’s forces. The next night, it was the Dragon Knight’s sword clanking against the tin head of his adversaries.

Sadly, she had no figurines for the elven knight and the dark elven general that she could pin against each other on her wooden-floored battlefield.

“Maybe we should do what logically people in probably other dimensions would do and not be forced to storm a small pill-box but instead just keep control of the entire city as we did have and if needed starve out the attackers, seeing how we controlled all of the city and they owned uh...About five metres by two metres by three metres”

“I’m afraid my friend ...” Waldemar commented to the stranger “... People in other dimensions can’t really starve out a city if there are two castles and another city unoccupied, unsieged and unspoiled right nearby, along the way of your attacking route.”

As we’ve spoken on discord and I’l just reiterate here, Doomforged itself is an invite only clan (we arent looking for new members as of this moment), but theres non doomforged dark dwarf families around, you should ask around for em. Onyxheart comes to mind, @Medvekoma is a good person to ask about em.

Onyxheart’s dead. Less dead than Doomforged but still dead.

((What's the point in making a dumb list of people you think should pk because you executed them. Yes, it should be encouraged to pk your character if you are executed with enough rp, but you can’t force people to. I think it’s just as dumb to use other throw-away personas just to avoid having to deal with this kind of pressuring.))

“A shame you won’t meet our entire force on the field.” said Archbishop Zachery.

“Probably will never do, considering your entire force has fractured into independent charters and deserters since your first loss.” Answered Waldemar.

“I don’t think we need luck when you’re too scared to meet us in the open field and defend the land surrounding Helena.” said Archbishop Zachery as he prepares for a siege, the renatians being too scared to attend the skirmish.

Waldemar was confused as they had, during the past year, hauled away more than twenty high-profile prisoners captured during Renatian victories accomplished on the very open fields the Archbishop mentioned.

Oren wants to promote RP over ooc and focus less on the PVP dictated politics humans had devolved into, so join the good side! The vast majority of Humans are with us so I can’t see why you’d not be with us.

Losing a skirmish every night does not promote RP. ?
