Solaine Wranralei sighed upon reading the massive, a sigh filled with relief. Looking to her son, she smiled. "It was good we left when we did, Zak. That 'kingdom' filled with corruption and egotism will see its fall in due time, and I won't have my hard work vanish due to their own arrogance." She spoke with a tinge of exhaustion, looking upon the many, many piles of books in her arsenal.

Many years have passed since the Elysium House of Knowledge first was established by myself, with the aid of my son Zakaria. We both worked tiredlessly, shed tears and sweat over our work and faced more than one hurdle on the way. Even as it was complete, we were constantly met with challenges yet we pressed on thanks to the amazing community and team of educators we managed to gather. But, alas, all things have an end for their own reasons. As of today, I, Solaine Wranralei, will be stepping down from position as Chancellor of Education as well as relinquish my de Astrea name. This was not an easy decision for me to make, yet I have many reasons for it, not all of which I shall name. However, most notably it would be my health that has taken a toll from this position. It has been nothing less than an emotional circus with this position for something I was so proud of and to share with Almaris, yet I fear I feel as if my work has not been valued within Elysium. My final order before my departure is this, all media ((Documents, images etc)) which were related to the former House of Knowledge, including its University and Library, will cease to be used by the Department of Knowledge and subsequent Chancellors, as well as other government officials as they are property of my own, purchased with my own Mina. This is what I take as reimbursment for my personal mina and materials used for this project, which I leave behind for future use. I hope to see my dear friends outside the walls of Elysium one day, as I fear this place is not where I belong anymore. Your former Chancellor of Education, Solaine Wranralei ((OOC)) So.. A lot has happened over the months I was here, and I'm super thankful for all the incredible friends I've made, but all journeys must come to an end when things become too much. With respect for others, whatever has happened to reach this decision shall remain private as it is not my proper place to say, nor do I wish for anything to go beyond my departure. The language of the kha, Kharahatla, is a dying language. But the people who speak it are not dead, and thus the language should not die either. Til the last breath of Kharajyr, it shall live on. With danger always being around the corner all over Almaris, it is almost needed to have a medic around at all times. This isn't plausable sadly, but instead we can learn the basics of medicine and how to swiftly treat those who need it. Intro to Medicine This Class will be held on April 20th at 7pm EST in Lecture Hall 2-A In this class you will go over First Aid with Aech Anarore ( @Aech) and other topics related to beginners knowledge in the field. Educate them and show them truths and ideas they may have never heard or seen, to aid them in their own personal journey for knowledge and hopefully inspire the generations ahead to keep this dream alive and burning. Our Establishments The Clever Fox Library Our library, as of the 2nd of Sun's Smile, Year 63 S.A. holds nearly 200 books which have been collected through donations as well as personally collected by the library’s staff. We hold books of various topics, such as magic, religion, stories of fiction or truth, and many many more. Our librarians ensure all books are kept clear of dust and sorted within the right shelves, and are happy to answer any questions you may have. At the Library you can also purchase copies of books! We have copies of many, though for some we do not have the ability to give away a copy, and for those we are willing to transcribe them on demand! This would lead to an increase in price, so keep this in mind before requesting a transcribed book. The Elysium University The Elysium University is the place for all those interested in learning with the aid of a tutor can, as classes will be held for anyone wishing to attend. The University has various classrooms, as well as a dining/lounge area for all students to meet one another. Our teachers work hard to plan and hold classes, free for all students who wish to learn to attend. Our classes are vast in subjects, just like the Library within the same walls. Our Request With the above explained, we ask for anyone with a desire to either teach something they’re passionate about or those who simply want to lend a hand tending to the ever growing collection of books that find a home within the House of Knowledge to get in touch with the administration. We are always seeking more tutors to host classes within the University and share the knowledge of their unique subjects. Or perhaps a quieter role suits you? 3rd of Deep Cold, Year 61 of the Second Age A New Era Ahead With every project, there will be hardship. There will be errors and delays, forgetfulness and regret. With some, the underlings are the issue, for others it is improper leadership. Throughout these struggles one must find solutions, find the root of what is hindering progress. Hindering the potential of the project at hand. We at the Ministry of Knowledge found our hindrance, our setback, and at last we have an announcement to all residents of Elysium and those who have worked beside us throughout this project. After many years, we are proud to announce that the Elysium University and the Elysium National Library are at last complete and open to the public. The books have found their place on their respective shelves, finally accessible to our citizens and visitors to read. We have classrooms fit for all subjects, lounges for students and visitors alike. At last, we can show this to you, as our progress was able to take major strides over the past few months. We took the strides towards the archiving and sharing of knowledge to all. Because of this step forward in our Ministry’s history, we can ensure the proper function of the Department of Education’s duties. With the team at last functioning as intended under new management, we make it our goal to see that our people and distant friends have the chance to learn and explore venues of knowledge they may have not experienced before. A notice hangs within the walls of Elysium and Almaris Cloud Temple... The Elysium Library Initiative - Progress in the making A Realisation... As the Elysium Library Initiative progresses, those behind its inherent progress have agreed to one simple, yet quite obvious, fact: A library is built by the sharing of knowledge and creative writing. The library is currently, and always will, be more than willing to accept the original works of any writer who wishes to share their work! An official donation point will now also exist by the White Bear Tavern, similar to the one outside the library’s current location. The Progress As it stands the progress of the library has come along smoothly, and its workers are happy to report that the construction is near its completion. Those behind the construction have worked hard to give the library its own legs to stand on, and as the library grows with time, we hope to expand it! As well as this, the initiative has already gathered a collection of 200+ books to add to its shelves! Even with this great amount, more books are always welcome to fill the library’s halls to bring more titles for everyone to enjoy. Worth noting! As well as accepting donated books, the library is able to purchase collections, in allegiance with the Elysian Trade Commission, from those unwilling to simply give away something they may have worked years to collect. The price is always negotiable with the heads of the library, though one is able to expect a decent chunk of mina depending on the collection’s rarity, size or overall worth.
