The Growth of Tiva The Tiva Expansion V. 1 [!] A book would be delivered to all major Elven settlements for placement within their library. Tiva was once the sacred language of the Mali’ame, and many of its meanings were lost to time. My former chief, Skylar Taliame’onn, took it upon himself to try and compile meanings so that we could continue to use the language. I made it my life’s purpose to help expand the knowledge of Tiva and scoured all references, including seed chiefs and any book I could get my hands on, in order to make the language of Tiva more comprehensive. This book contains all my findings, compiled into one place. The contents of this book are split into the same segments as the original book and are as follows: Tiva’lye – Flowers used to identify yourself Tiva’annil – Flowers used to guide people or denote an area Tiva’illern – Flowers used in ceremonies (parties, marriage, funeral) Saner’tiva – Flowers used to communicate ideas Tiva’lye This is worn by Mali to describe physical, mental and emotional features about themselves, and others. Conclusion With the expansion, the language of Tiva is not forgotten and becomes more prevalent as the years go by. With a better understanding of Tiva comes a better understanding of our culture. Giving a voice to the voiceless. With this notion, I hope that our ideas may flourish and our community will thrive like a grassland of brilliant minds. Kaleel was born in a desert town in the Caliphate to rather wealthy parents. He was the first child of many siblings, and half siblings as his father was an avid practitioner of polygamy. He had a normal childhood up until the age of 16 when he snuck out of his house late at night on a dare from his younger brother to go steal a rare gem from a merchant's booth in the Bazaar. He made it to the stall and proceeded to swipe the rare gem, only to be caught by a guard who said that it was past curfew, and he was promptly searched. He attempted to make a get away once it was found that he had stolen merchandise and climbed onto the rooftops, threw a medium-sized rock to the ground below as the guards chased him. The rock promptly struck a guard on the head a severely injured him, though the young-Kaleel did not know that until he was caught later that night. They hauled him to his father, and his father decided to exile him for his crimes against the city. Upon being exiled Kaleel wandered in the desert with little more than a a slice of bread and a dagger, and he was abducted by bandits upon arriving in an oasis. They held him captive and used him as their play toy for nearly three years before Kaleel fought his way to the top of their brawling pit and escaped/earned his freedom. With the minimal training he gained from the brawls in the fighting arena with the bandits he set out to join the Caliphate's militia, got extensive training in dual wielding there, and departed at the age of thirty, after 11 years in the militia. He met his wife, Apollonia, on his adventures as a mercenary in the Isles of Axios. Together they have five children and continue to wander and help the people to this day. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Honorable- Despite his will to bring nearly all evil things to justice, he will refuse to stab a man in the back, or if someone runs away, he will not kill them. This doesn’t mean that he won’t harm them, though. On many occasions he’s injured a person running away in order to interrogate, or catch them. He doesn’t believe in hurting someone if they beg for mercy or admit to their wrongdoings. Stubborn- Kaleel was raised to be set in his ways. If he doesn’t approve of something than he would almost never be convinced otherwise. The most apparent example was when his half-brother came out as gay and he instantly told his father, and his half-brother was sent into the desert with nothing more than a loaf of bread and a dagger. Flirty- Kaleel just loves the thrill of flirting with women. There’s nothing more fun than leading women on and kissing them, and making them like him. He enjoys toying with their emotions on occasion and making women feel like he wants them, when actually he’s entirely loyal to his wife. He might sleep with one or two women from time to time, but he would never love any other woman than his wife. Friendly/Relaxed- He’s generally a very relaxed person. He enjoys talking to strangers and making new friends. This is one of his favorite past times as the more people he knows the more knowledge he can obtain about little known things. And in his line of work, the more you know the better. Conservative- This goes as a broad concept for Kaleel in general. He is very careful with where he puts his money, and how he spends it, making him conservative economically. Secondly, he was taught to be somewhat of a homophobe, making his ideals and knowledge of this very limited and with his ignorance on the subject also comes being conservative socially. Sarcastic- Often times Kaleel just doesn’t care about what someone is talking about. He uses sarcasm in order to display his distaste toward something. He finds that using this method prevents some people from catching on, due to ignorance most likely, and adds to the game of mockery. He also uses his sarcastic wit to get out of scenarios on occasion that might cause him to be injured or killed. Justice- Due to his past in the military and constantly being told what to do and who to kill and where to go, Kaleel has developed an odd sense of humanity and what is right and wrong. He feels as though all the things that have gone to the dark side can be saved and no one is beyond helping. Though, anyone who commits crimes must be punished severely in order to atone for their sins. Hero's Syndrome- Kaleel feels like he has to protect everybody, everywhere at all times. If someone he loves is hurt or injured he will get their revenge for them, though, not forgive himself for letting harm come to them. This especially comes into play when speaking about his immediate family. Loyal- Kaleel is one of the most loyal people he knows, and he doesn't just say that because he is arrogant. Kaleel will go over and beyond to anyone that has earned his loyalty, on several occasions he's been beaten to near death in order to protect his friends. Teddy Bear-ish- Often seen as a hard ass by most of his friends and family. Kaleel often opens up around a few select people in order to let his emotions that he keeps pent up go free. It's been noted that Kaleel is just actually one big teddy bear that likes to pretend that he's a big tough guy, but at the end of the day just wants a good life for his friends and family. He Loves Carrot/Watermelon/Apples, as well. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?): He wants to be a person that stands up for what he believes to be right at all costs, and also aspires to become a master swordsman.
