Character’s name: Varian Syrex Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: Dark Elf Character’s age: 20 Biography (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): Born in Ker'nor to alchemists, she was raised being told to follow in the footsteps of her parents. As a child, she had more interest in sparring with other children and going on adventures, and this helped her become something of a self taught fighter. As she grew up, her interest in exploring the world and going on adventures grew, and with it, the idea of her becoming an alchemist lost all appeal. Because of this, fights between her and her parents became increasingly frequent, until it finally pushed her to leave home at the age of 16. Since she left her home in Ker'nor, her parents have disowned her and she travels knowing she has no family to go back to and no friends waiting for her back home. Now 20, she is a wanderer, observing the world and looking for a cause to devote herself to. She has been through Leyu'celia, Linandria, and Sutica, and continues on her search for a cause. Personality Traits: Varian is a generally quiet, and tends to keep to herself rather then starting conversations and getting involved with other people. When confronted with conflict, she tends to look for a way out, simply because she has no drive to fight for anything- it bores her. When pushed hard enough, she can and will fight, and keeps daggers on her at all times for this very reason. Despite this, she will jump to action to defend those who are fighting losing battles if they are in the right. Ambitions: Varian doesn't have many ambitions, but prefers to wander and observe the world around her, looking for a cause to fight for. Strengths/Talents: Varian is a semi-talented fighter and is good at making use of what is around her to defeat those when needed. She is also well read, especially when it comes to alchemy. Personality-wise, she is very quick to jump to the help of those who are not strong enough to fight for themselves. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Although good in combat, she is not all that strong, and has to use other methods when in battle. She also tends to be rather lazy, and it takes a lot to motivate her to do something. She also acts aloof to most people, all but those who gain her respect. Appearance: Varian is a 6'1, willowy, twig-like woman, with white/silver hair, purple eyes, and light grey skin. How she dresses depends on the day, but she generally wears clothes that will make her blend in to wherever she may be, and be efficient when fighting.
