  1. Restricting road building can lead to consequences such as limiting a nation's ability to fully utilize and develop their territory. Allowing nations to build on roads that pass through their territory can give them more control over their land and create opportunities for creative and unique road designs. Additionally, I think it can encourage nations to develop road networks that can connect with other realms, fostering inter-realm travel and trade.

if a nation's activity is cut off by a road passing through another nation, it presents an opportunity for roleplay and diplomacy. Nations can engage in diplomatic discussions and come to an agreement on how to proceed, or they can construct a new road that goes around the obstruction, or whatever. These situations nonetheless create interesting plotlines and encourage inter-nation interactions.

It’s important to keep roads clear as a route for people to travel from place to place without barriers but by allowing nations to build on roads, it can also create interesting obstacles for travelers to navigate, adding to the overall experience.

In conclusion, while there are valid arguments for both restricting and allowing road building, allowing nations to build on roads can encourage creative designs, inter-realm travel, and foster diplomatic solutions to road obstructions.

  2. “So I saw, so I was shown— the lands consumed by eternal fire. The webs of the arachnids laying claim to the mortal realms.” A certain magi would speak after the fight while writing her diary “The end is here as I was shown, no escape for the descendants.”

Usamea stood in the bustling marketplace, the sounds of idle chatter filling her ears as she surveyed the crowd. Suddenly, her attention was drawn to a strange being floating in the sky, resembling a sea jellyfish with streaming tentacles that seemed to move with a mind of their own. The creature's webbed arms met just above its main body, leaving it textureless and wrapped in interwoven fibers.

As the crowd began to prepare to attack the creature, Usamea felt an inexplicable urge to move closer to it, as if she was being invited towards it. An automaton and the Celianorian High Princess were both preparing their attacks, along many others, but Usamea ignored them and continued towards the tendrils of the creature with her arm extended towards it.

The creature wrapped its tendrils around Usamea, rendering the elfess unconscious, filling her mind with visions of the future. While Usamea was laying on the moss decorated ground, her body taken over by spams and her mouth foaming. In her mind however, she saw the entire west on fire, Amathea engulfed in webs and flames, crumbling to dust. The colors red and white flashed before her, with white indicating a sudden tragic event while a vision of a titan of flame looming over Celia'nor. The color red indicated death and a sudden change to... [!] It seems the rest was ripped off.

Usamea slowly opened her eyes, feeling disoriented and confused. As she struggled to regain her senses, she realized she was surrounded by a group of concerned and curious onlookers, all of them staring at her intently. The elfess wobbled unsteadily on her feet, still struggling to grasp onto reality.

A kind lady stepped forward, offering her arm to support the elfess. "Are you alright?" she asked, her voice filled with concern. "Do you need help?"

Usamea nodded gratefully, leaning heavily on the woman as she was escorted to a nearby clinic.

As they walked, Usamea tried to make sense of what had just happened to her. The vision she had seen felt so real, yet so surreal at the same time. She couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled deep in her chest.

Once they arrived at the clinic, Usamea was given a bed to rest on. She lay there for a while, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of what she had seen. Eventually, the kind lady who had escorted her to the clinic returned, along with a healer who had come to examine her.

"What happened to you?" the healer asked, her voice gentle as she examined Usamea. Usamea tried to explain what had happened, but found it difficult to put her thoughts into words. She told the healer about the vision she had seen, the flames and the webs and the looming titan of flame. She told her about the flashes of white and red, and the feeling of dread that had settled in her chest.

    And then, she slept.

I'd probably make it a bit more broad than whispers as those won't fit every voidstalker. Could have like creepy instruments, minor hallucinations, maybe changes in the voidstalkers body?

Oh that's not a bad idea at all!! My initial thought to this was just to kinda keep it simple. The horror is used because I couldn't really think about another 'logical' explanation as where the whispers would come from.

    The Lunar Abruption

    Whispers of the Void

The Lunar Abruption is a passive/active aura that emanates from the Voidstalker, spreading in a radius of maximum 10 blocks, the area controllable by the stalker. The aura is filled with incoherent whispers, eerie and unsettling, emanating from the Void itself. The whispers are unintelligible, impossible to understand or make sense of, but they carry a sense of dread and foreboding, striking fear into the hearts of those who hear them.

The aura is a manifestation of the Voidstalker's connection to The Void, and it acts as a warning to those around them of the potential danger that lies within. Those who are attuned to the magic may feel a strange pull towards the Voidstalker, drawn to the power and darkness that surrounds them.

The aura is a spell and requires active casting, thus following any rules of voidal connection and spell casting, unless it releases as a passive ability. It is present as long as kept, a constant reminder of the Voidstalker's connection to the Void. The Whispering Void can be sensed by those within the radius, and it can be a useful tool for the Voidstalker to detect the presence of other twisted priests, or to intimidate and instill fear in their enemies.

    Explanation

The Stalker is continuously subjected to the screeching of the Horror within, and can therefore release these whispers into the mortal realm. Ordinarily, Moon Speech would cause severe mental effects, but as the speech of the Horror echoes into the mortal realm, it is processed through the body and soul of a conscious being, resulting in the whispers being a jumbled mix of overlapping voices that grate at the back of one's mind.

This ability is both active and passive in nature. The Stalker can choose to activate this spell within two (2) emotes [connection + cast], or it can be released involuntarily in the event the stalker becomes frightened or is overflowing with emotions for example. Ultimately, the decision how to roleplay this lies with the player.

Due to the spell utilizing the horror that can be invited within one’s mind, this spell is available only to those that have performed the Ascension of Consciousness ritual successfully and is currently holding a horror.

Due to the unhelpful nature of the horror, if someone was to attempt this spell in combat, the horror would cease speaking and remain quiet for the duration of the combat period.

    Purpose

The underlying objective of this initiative is to introduce an additional layer of cultic allure to the routine existence of the voidstalkers, while also enabling the player community to further immerse themselves in the persona of the perverse priests of the void.

The spell in question is exclusively geared towards non-combat purposes, serving to embellish the experience through auditory manifestations, which could conceivably draw the attention of an individual momentarily away from their prosaic duties. It is pertinent to note that the sounds generated by the spell do not possess the potency to disrupt an individual's focus or spell-casting ability.

    Emote Example UwU

    Emote Example:
[!] The air around Usamea begins to feel thick and heavy, filled with an unsettling aura. Those within 8 blocks of Usamea would feel a sense of unease and dread, as if the darkness of the Void itself is watching and waiting.

[!] The sound of incoherent whispers can be heard, coming from nowhere and everywhere at once, feeding fear and unease into the minds of the mortals.

Pls don't be mean I wanted more non-combat abilities and more cult like creepy stuff to stalkers. I will cry if you are mean ok pls ;n; constructive feedback only.

Also this is more first ever lore submission after 5 years so fr any feedback is much appreciated, the redlines were the hardest part and I'm sure they're missing something.

In all reality I really wanna see stalkers being more so a bunch of creepy cultists instead of power hungry beasts with infinite batteries. I have my own vision but we'll see whether it Ever comes reality. Anyway, hopefully y'all enjoy the lore and good luck go me!

Why have you decided to apply for the Moderation Team?

A very good question I don't necessarily know myself either.

LotC has always been something I enjoy, perhaps less the role-play side of it (ew how likes RP) but more so the communities. The one giant family we all make together, regardless of the constant fighting and bickering.

It seems that I'm soon to hit my 5 year anniversary and each time I decide I'm about to leave I always return, the community the togetherness is something that always pulls me back.

I find some odd satisfaction in moderating and taking care of the players and ensuring they get to enjoy, call it the customer support in me.

I have always been passionate about creating safe and positive online communities. I believe that every person should feel welcome and respected while using the internet, and I want to play a role in making that a reality. I was immediately drawn to the opportunity to use my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the online world.

I'm quite confident that my strong communication skills, my attention to detail, and commitment to creating inclusive environments will make me a valuable addition to the team. Additionally, I am eager to work with a group of individuals who share my passion for creating safe and positive online communities, and I believe that joining the moderation team will allow me to do just that, as it did before.

What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?

I think this is called a mission impossible but  want to tackle the issues with conflict. I have a few ideas I want to try and push forwards but conflict always turns into toxicity, people get banned and I often see people crying over a few minuteman blocks.

This server is for all of us to enjoy regardless of what is happening and as always, we should all be able to enjoy it. I want to work on finding ways to change this, obviously there is only so much one can do as Minecraft server moderation but at least finding way that could allow for more transparent communications, positive outcomes of conversations and a more overseen scenario.

Feelings are always valid and of course there will be a side in conflict that will lose and feel slightly blue, but hopefully at least with good memories and perhaps more tools to continue into the future with more open doors.

The one other thing is that I would like to see a more coherent way of communication between staff and the public. Often major decisions are made without the rest of the staff being fully aware of what is happening and also often communications coming from Admin level are done in haste and without any proper brainstorming.

What are your best & worst qualities?

I often find myself overly analysing thins, the answers might be given right in-front of me and I'm calculating and analysing all possible scenarios while the answer might be very simple. I am also quite emotional and sometimes let others get the best of me. This doesn't necessarily make a bad candidate for moderation but I might just occasionally take a breather to just relax and continue with life.

I think my best qualities are my abilities to see myself in others, to reflect everything I do from the perspective of another. Not only does this make me more empathetic but also allows me to make decisions better. I am an extremely good listener and ensure that others are heard whenever I converse with them or make any life changing decisions regarding.

A humble brag, but I study communications and project management so I at least hope these two fields are something that I can find expertise in. Not only am I clear in my verbal communication but I also bring expertise as a communications major in regards of PR and so forth.

But but, I'm also a nice individual and super funny.

If there is a rule you disagree with— which one is it, and why?

Do not even get me started on this --

The current war rules are something I can't even describe how much I despise. Removing casus belli's was a dumb move and the rules need to be worked on. I'm not saying there is a perfect alternative but allowing everyone to declare a war on someone just for the shits and giggles is not really role-play friendly. Surely this is not only a slice-of-life role-play server and conflict is something many enjoy, but conflict should be enjoyable for all sides involved and not aiming to destroy something people have put a lot of hours into.

We should look for ways to constantly improve the rules and involve many a people in the decision making.
