  1. Just remove all the magic on the wiki or put a big spoiler at the top of each section saying to go to the forums for up to date info. Same thing with creatures, there's no need to do an overhaul when each of these are often changing.

    Seeking Knowledge

Hello to all who have spared but a moment of their day to read this missive. Before I jump into requests, I will allow you to learn about myself. My name is Mitros and I am a peasant who has spent most of my life wasting away in a field for measly portions of bread. Now that I suspect I am some ten years away from my death of old age, I seek to explore the world and learn it and its people's many stories. Here is what I can assure you, should you reach out to me.

Firstly, I will listen to your stories without prejudice. I will devote time to clearing my mind of any prior thoughts and will accept each idea with a clean slate.

Secondly, I will not spread the information given to me. My hands are nearly too weak to write, so instead, I will listen to your ideas and stories without the need to tell them to others.

Third, I will debate ideas and speak on theoreticals only should someone request such.

If you agree with my morals above, feel free to look at the list below of topics that I am interested in learning about.

    - Arcane magics and how they work.
    - Druidic magics and their theories.
    - Alchemical explanations for the world and potions.
    - Creatures of the world.
    - Recent histories of peoples and nations.
    - Spiritual theories.
    - Any other forgotten topics, please inquire.

I do hope this missive reaches the correct crowd as I do not have many coins to circulate it around the world. Please feel free to send me a bird so that we may arrange a time to speak, should you agree to my ideals. In return for speaking to me about these topics, I will do my best to find and give some sort of object as payment.

    - Mitros, an aged man soon to be a scholar.

  3. Bit late to the party on the post, but I believe that some land should be near impossible to traverse without using the roads - say giant valleys with steep walls, etc. I want places that make me as a player feel small and areas where there is only one or two ways through a biome. I want big valleys, not with spiked mountains surrounding them but with flat land, like the Grand Canyon. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I want paths high above big drops.

Through the stacking of stone and self progression at Makzgath’s throne, this Pale Lord has modified their own body and abilities to fit their needs and desires better. As fitting with all Pale Lords, Makazgath’s mentality shifted drastically upon taking up the mantle - and so he reverted back to his knightly ways. These abilities reflect such, and upon acceptance of this MArt,  Makazgath will be granted the abilities listed below.

    The Lord’s Relics
Upon the [4th] emote of Devour used on a descendant, Makazgath will gain a soul fragment from them. Unlike the devour of normal Eidolan, this does not make the victim lethargic - unless the sixth emote is reached - but instead inflicts imagery of battles upon their mind. Makazgath may store up to [3] soul fragments upon himself at a time, and each one may be represented as either an ectoplasmic crown, a spectral cape, or a ghostly and animalistic companion of his choosing. These are merely aesthetic and each one will appear upon a soul fragment being gathered, meaning that if he has two fragments currently in his storage, he may have two of the things listed above. These cannot be destroyed unless Makazgath himself is killed, though may be demanifested at will.

    Makazgath’s Mount
Over the course of [3] emotes, either in or out of combat, Makazgath may transform and expand the stone at the base of his legs into the shape of a horse. While in this transformed form he may begin to build up speed over [3] emotes. After this perriod, he gains [1] block of movement while attacking and [2] blocks of movement while solely sprinting, meaning that he is at the same speed as a descendant. This mount may be broken in two to melee hits, causing water to leak out as it would with any Eidola. While in this form, Makazgath is forced to maintain more straight lines of movement while sprinting, meaning that he may at most move one block horizontal to his charge should he be moving the eight blocks of movement, and if one of the legs is shattered, he will be lowered to normal Pale Lord movement speed. While during a charge (moving [8] blocks on the horse), Makazgath may not stop early, and must go the maximum distance, and should one of his legs be hit with a blunt weapon while he's moving fast, it will cause him to restart the [3] emote process of building up speed.

    Rally the Faithful
Once per combat Makazgath may let out a titanic cry of ectoplasm, much like someone blowing upon a trumpet, and upon the next emote after this cry [2] nearby mystics or ghosts of his choice may be bolstered as the ectoplasm clings to their body. This grants them [2] blocks of additional movement speed for [2] emotes, as well as the feeling of being rejuvenated and full of energy once more. This may also be used against a max of [2] normal descendants within [15] blocks, wherein the ectoplasm covers them and gives them a cold feeling.

    The Lord’s Name
An ability similar to Invocation for Wight’s, when an entity calls forth the name of Makazgath in a small prayer they may be granted one of two spells by the Lord - these being Deadbreath or Rally the Faithful. As this occurs, a titanic roar will ripple across the battlefield, signaling Makazgath’s assistance.

    Red Lines of the Artifact:

    - Does not go away if Makazgath dies, this is a permanent change.

    The Lord’s Relics Redlines
    - The relics cannot affect combat and are merely aesthetic.
    - Allows Makazgath to gain a soul fragment upon the [4th] emote of devouring, though this does not make the victim lethargic until the [6th] emote.
    - Has a limit of [3] soul fragments able to be stored.
    - If Makazgath is slain with soul fragments, they will be sent back to the wastes (deleted).

    - The animals cannot speak or perform actions that Makazgath cannot do. They cannot be used to relay any information.

    - The spectral objects may be manifested or demanifested at all will over [1] emote.

    - The visions granted by devour are aesthetic and may be RPed as the player likes.

    Makazgath’s Mount Redlines
    - Requires [3] emotes to grasp the stone and transform his legs into the shape of a horse or similar-sized mount.
    - Grants Makazgath [+1] movement speed while attacking and [+2] movement speed while solely sprinting after he has moved for [3] emotes with the legs.
    - Makazgath may only move [1] block horizontally per emote while moving at descendant speed, meaning that he may go [7] or [3] blocks forward in one emote but only [1] to the side.
    - Requires [2] emotes to break if hit with a blunt weapon. Each hit with a blunt weapon will cause Makazgath to slow down and restart the [3] emote timer before he can move fast again.
    - If a leg is destroyed while Makazgath is in this form he is limited to normal Pale Lord speed.

    - Makazgath must move the full 8 blocks in a straight line should he be "sprinting" with the mount.

    - No other abilities may be used while Makazgath is on his mount.

    Rally the Faithful Redlines
    - Requires [2] emotes to take effect, one to shout into the air in a roar of ectoplasm and a second for the effects to manifest upon those chosen.
    - May affect up to [2] people at once, though not Makazgath himself.
    - Grants [+2] movement speed for [2] emotes to those affected and makes them feel rejuvenated.
    - Does not magically heal wounds, make them bleed less, etc.
    - People who are effected by this have a thin ectoplasmic gleam over themselves for the duration of [2] emotes.

    - Works in a range of [16] blocks around Makazgath.

    - Does not boost strength or stamina. Does not allow one to ignore any previous wounds.

    - Ectoplasm on non-mystics or ghosts may be removed in [1] emote and is merely aesthetic.

    The Lord’s Name Redlines
    - Requires [1] soul fragment from Makazgath to grant deadbreath or rally the faithful.
    - If rally the faithful is chosen, it only affects the person who called upon him.
    - Makazgath will never know where his name has been called from, nor can it be used to relay any information to and/or from him.
    - The player invoking them must contact the Makazgath (BobBox) to see which spell they are granted (If any).

    - If a player is granted a spell they must emote a roar sounding across the battlefield in #s.

    - Requires [1] emote from a player to call upon Makazgath, over which they may say a small prayer to him.

    - This essentially works as Wight Invocation would.

    - While one may be granted dead breath, they may not be able to see through it without truesight.

Explanation of the effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed):

Through the stacking of stone and modification of a Pale Lord’s self at their throne, they are able to change their body type, allowing for new abilities if they so wish. Pale Lords are meant to perfect themselves into their own vision, and so Makazgath has done just that. This MArt reflects the mentality changes that Makazgath has gone through, and follows the themes of Pale Lords in general.

Only Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs may be successfully cursed.

Feel like halflings and people who are klones should be able to be cursed (though they wouldn't be able to use other klones once cursed). Generally, I think the continued push for the CA to kill players (especially 4 players in 12 ooc hours for the altars) is a tough street to go down, even if it is rooted in old Fwitches. I think a note should be made that NPC bodies cannot be used for feeding or rituals as well, as I've heard of witches trying to snag easy feeds from them.

    - In the form of a blast, Chant releases an ear-shattering, solid blast of raw and catalyzed sound frequencies towards the chosen target - bearing the strength of a punch comparable to the witch’s corresponding race.

I think this should be limited to just human strength so that orcs don't have some random advantage out of nowhere.

Just a few thoughts here, certainly didn't read everything in depth or all the abilities, this was just at a quick glance.

Moreso the issue of people being biased against OOC playernames when buying anonymously. I shouldn't have to go through someone else to buy something because people will react poorly to my name OOC being rukio.

Make an autoshop in a nation or settlement and names will remain anonymous for most players besides maybe stewards if they care to look that far into things.

  7. I personally enjoy seeing intense magical items and artifacts on sale for thousands of minas on the daily. Buying enchanted items from across the map and automatically knowing how to activate them is great!

Full removal or only selling blocks needs to be the change here, people who think you can’t sell anonymously without it clearly haven’t put much thought behind the issue.

  8. I truly believe that the best experiences that one can have in RP are when they are both unknowing of what's happening on an IC and an OOC level. Going into a spooky settlement not knowing what lore they roleplay around or what that lore is even capable of is a feeling I'm afraid I'll never get again but one that I chase. Not only does this RP create a true sense of mystery, but it also often causes you to step up the level you're rping at as you take the time to go over each of your emotes meticulously to ensure you're rping with quality.

As the war between two major factions begins to churn a third group has entered the fray, though not as grunt soldiers meant to fight significant battles upon open fields - no, instead as vultures hungry for swords, bows, ammunition, and minae. These vultures are said to be dressed in blue and often follow these large battles and skirmishes like hungry wolves - stalking the bodies which still lay upon the green grass and brown soil. These men are oftentimes seen taking what remains upon the bodies before sinking back into the forest where they await more battles, though recently they have begun to target civilians and other innocents as the large militaries are distracted.

The Vultures are said to perform hit and run tactics, oftentimes pulling alongside civilians in a carriage before jumping out and robbing them, though it is not unheard of for them to establish roadblocks, steal ships, burn barns, or steal crops. Originating as nothing more than a nuisance, The Vultures have slowly been growing bolder and any military would do well to ensure that they properly plan out battles with them, lest they lose soldiers in the process of a gruesome battle.

    Spoiler

OOC: This is a small idea I’ve had to somewhat merge the gap between events and wars while establishing more RP around wars other than just forum shitposts and large battles. Expect a multitude of smaller events for all nations involved and a faction that may end up being a thorn in your side (on an RP level). Please feel free to RP having heard rumors about this group or even as seeing missives about them. One last note is that I don't intend for this to stress anyone out about the wars more - rather it's just more RP revolving around it that is tangible, if you have concerns feel free to PM me on discord.

What you can expect from me:
    - Small and medium sized pop-up events of all different fashions with difficult enemies.
    - A faction that adapts their style of fighting and what they do depending on the course of the war.
    - Battles and events which offer small to medium sized destruction of buildings, fields, etc.
    - A group that (hopefully) simulates vultures or mercenaries in war.

    - A faction that can ultimately be driven off, killed, etc.
