    @Crevel Hello! We did!

This message was posted a few days ago in the main LOTC discord, and we had a few people reach out to discuss their wiki / settlement guides etc. Java has also stated that the Nations are welcome to reach out if they would like anything altered on the post, so if anything is incorrect please encourage them to reach out to Java! We already tried to contact them.

The screenshot provided addresses only settlement guides and wikis, and it shows that three days was not enough time to allow these groups to make an updated settlement guide or wiki page. It shows because this post links to a subforum, settlement guides that are probably on average about 2 years old, and wiki pages which aren't ordinarily updated anyway unless a monarch dies, or someone is on a binge to write many paragraphs about something they remembered a few weeks to a few months ago. I've worked on a settlement guide in the past and I've worked on the wiki, you aren't going to get something fantastic in a short amount of time that covers all the useful information in each nation in 3 days. Each group has varying activity levels, varying real life commitments, and varying members of their leadership trusted to work on whatever they need to work on. If you're going to expect people to have updated information about their nation, they need to be given more time.

As I said before, the screenshot pretty much only addresses guides and wikis. It isn't giving the leaderships of these nations the opportunity to speak about what experiences and culture they realistically provide to be summarised in a short sentence. Balian for instance, was founded because pro-Empire Orenians lost, and they decided to settle far away from the Orenian heartlands in Almaris. Despite that, they're labeled as the "realm shaped by historical turmoil. Provides narratives of recovery, growth, and humanity's indomitable spirit" while Aaun, which remained in the volatile heartlands and went through multiple civil conflicts is simply "A realm of diversity and inclusion. Excellent for exploring religious narratives, political dynamics."

As I said before, if a guide is going to be made like this, the people working on the guide should be proactively reaching out to every leader's DMs and discuss what is being included in the post. It shows an initiative to work with the community instead of doing a poor job and then waiting for people to come to you to correct any mistakes. You have their discord accounts, you can reach out to them.

  2. I am sure that this guide was well-meaning, but I think it would've been far more reasonable to reach out to the leaders of these places beforehand because by making this guide and having it pinned, your words are speaking for what these groups are about even if it's not accurate. Reading your summaries, it's quite apparent that there are varying levels of ignorance about what experiences and cultural focuses these nations actually provide. The only real accurate human summary from my understanding is Petra. My suggestion is that you proactively seek out these NLs and amend your guide, instead of waiting for them to come to you when they may not even realise this guide exists.

  3. Father Petyr reads over the missive, hoping that a significant wedding such as this has been scheduled appropriately with a priest.

    Spoiler

Edit: Responding here to @Smol so I'm not clogging with replies. I read it and I know it was not there, your hastiness to quickly write it in has shown when you forgot the period / full stop.

  4. Father Petyr hums as he reads over the propaganda of the excommunicated individual. He peers at the 'motion picture' assembled as well, examining the remarkable skill that some of these armoured individuals had slaughtering unarmoured and unarmed innocents with axes. He puts it away, resting his eyes as he continues penning books to be published for the faithful at a later date.

    Spoiler

Since when did Administration allow conflict/raids again? It's been disallowed for about two weeks now while the system is reworked with no notice of it being restored. I would hope that any players killed would regain any lost mina or items that they lost to this fight if this was against the rules. It wouldn't be fair for players to lose items and mina that they may have kept on them under the expectation that conflict would not be happening due to the current situation.

Autofish is literally a cheat lol

For the past few years, the general consensus from my understanding is that Autofishing is allowed but you have to be actively at your computer. If a moderator tries messaging you and you don't respond, you'd probably get kicked or banned. Fartpack is a modpack that must be used responsibly.

I do not however forgive Crevel for dragging you into this and by both his and your admission sending NSFW content to a minor.

This is just untrue. By my own admission, I told you that I did not send them screenshots of any NSFW content. I told you I sent them a link to your Steam account when you tried contacting me for a gotcha moment. You might want to look up what libel means.

  7. I think this is a good steppingstone in your life and I think that if you take a year or two off the server, it should give you enough time to reform to become the best person you can be. Everyone makes mistakes, but everyone has the potential to become better.

  8. I think that all instances of Copyright Law should be handled through trial by combat to the death. Whoever wins the fight is given ownership of the copyright. It isn't like the dead will have much use for it anyway.

  10. While I think that it's definitely an interesting concept, I feel like it was partially written with the intent to create a rascal of an animal that they can tame and troll with which inclines me to -1.

    - No natural predators

    - Travels in groups

    - Steals small items and trinkets

    - Will teleport away with prized treasure if threatened (travel in groups so that's more than one)

    - Can glide away

    - Can hide in small and narrow areas

    - Bite isn't strong but their teeth are strong enough to chew through materials up to ferrum strength (meaning it can eat up aurum, ferrum obviously, slayersteel, azhl potentially)

    - Cannot be used to metagame enchanted objects, but if the person controlling the mana mouse believes that it's probably magical, it's fine for the mana mouse to try snatching / eating it?

    - Presumably cannot have its own mana harvested in any way because there is nothing that describes how it works even though the creature would be the epitome of a mana-harvestable animal

I think that this creature, as it is currently written, is better suited for strict Story Team use only to add to event regions or to their own events as flair and to potentially indicate to their players during the event that something magical is lurking nearby. I definitely see this being abused if it's a creature that is tameable by everyone. Before writing powergamey descriptions saying that it can eat through hard metal, consider the lore that already exists and how the lore you are writing can be written to add to something else rather than being its own thing. There is already lore for a Mana-Weave Bug which would be considered much more reasonable prey for a Mana Mouse and could be used to justify why they evolved to have abnormally strong teeth (to pierce the chitin casing and consume the liquid mana) but you would still want to keep this within reason.

    [OOC]

This is a third-person narration of the ending sequence of battle focused on Father Petyr's perspective, who fought for the Canonist League. This post is meant to introduce how the battle affected Petyr psychologically. This is by no means a public document of any sort accessible to people in roleplay. It's something to be read OOCly and to potentially enjoy as light reading. It goes without saying that unless you were there, nothing from these roleplay encounters are to be metagamed and/or acted upon.

    The Toll of Battle

As the Adrians began hacking down the doors of the Adrian Church and making quick work of those who tried defending it, Petyr spotted the rear window that had made a viable point of escape if he could only just climb. Narrowly, he would hop through the window as the soldiers of Adria swept through the church with their weapons picking off those who were not lucky enough to escape in time. Before the priest could make his escape, an Adrian soldier had been sicced onto him by an officer. An exchange of clashing swords commenced for a short period of time before what was likely a trained Haeseni soldier interrupted with his own swordplay, drawing the attack away from Father Petyr. Taking this chance, he would flee towards the ruins towards the north of Adria where he would stumble along those equally lucky to have survived.

Father Petyr, what are we to do?” a young Barclay boy spoke who seemed to have just barely passed through his teenage years.

The priest stood still with a blank expression across his face as he peered towards Velec, where he had seen so many from both sides lose their lives alongside him. The whines and groans of injured soldiers from behind him began to be a blur until an elderly Waldenian knight spoke up.

We ought to go back to Minitz” the knight responded gruffly, putting an injured teenager on the rear of his horse before mounting the horse themselves.

The voice brought Father Petyr to his senses, “Yes.. Yes.. we flee.. and we fight another day.. the Lord has still blessed us with our lives!” he remarks, almost in such a way to reassure himself as well as the others.

My armour barely holds together still..” stated the Barclay boy which was met with a dreary agreement by others as well.

Petyr chucked a glance down at his own body. Blood had stained his chained armour, even to the point of leaving splotches on the clerical garments he had worn under the armour. The chains of his leggings and helm were immeasurably damaged to the point where they would have provided no protection, and his chestplate and boots had been largely unlinked but still provided enough protection if he had been attacked once more. The weighted blade he held in his hand had been blunted, chipped, and blood-stained. The cracks in his sword served as an accurate comparison to the forces of the Canonist League that pursued the anathematised duke.

As a few of the injured soldiers escaped on horseback, Father Petyr alongside a few others fled to Minitz on foot where they would be welcomed by a crowd of youthful and clean citizens who were prepared to administer support for a battle they had never seen. The priest peeled off the chainmail that had only just barely clung to his skin after the thrashing he had received. The sword, after being securely clenched in his hands for hours, fell to the floor. His hands would continue to shake as he looked out to the injured soldiers being brought into buildings.

Having made sure that he brought who he could to safety, Father Petyr would then stumble alone to the Free City of Florentine. His hands still shaking along the way as he periodically spoke to himself, “The Lord God has blessed us with our lives.
