These sorts of things happen, especially by people who are not right in the head. I'm sure there's a lot more unreported incidents of this sort of thing happening that aren't spread due to privacy laws, and it happens on more games than just Minecraft.

Heads up, every Discord I've seen on LoTC bar one has had these things, even the "Le Wokeism x3" chats like the Druids and Elven ones too, where transphobia still manages to rear its head regularly, and known and avowed Online White Supremacists walk around in the background

tl;dr "the discords i have admin roles to have hidden white supremacists and transphobic chats, yours must have them too."

I think it's deranged that you're conflating wearing a Minecraft skin with trying to genocide an entire group. By making comments like this, you're actually diminishing some of the most horrific crimes in human history.

Personally, I think it's deranged that you, as a Jewish individual, wholeheartedly support someone who very proudly stood for a screenshot waving a Nazi flag in a military-esque uniform knowing that groups committed atrocities responsible for millions of deaths using that flag to show unity in their actions. I am sure that your family ancestry was affected in some way by this. Do you not feel ashamed for "wholeheartedly supporting" Charlemagne?

    >unban without consulting faerie_goth_queene or any member of the community

    >leave it to faerie_goth_queene to find out on her own bc roleplay, write a forum post reliving and detailing her abuse

    >let community “discuss” whether unban is deserved (WE ARE HERE)

    >ban gustavadolf1449 a few days later for raid rules or something

    >never elaborate

    >repeat 4 years later

The difference here is that Charlemagne was not initially banned for what was in those screenshots. Their most recent ban appeal (for the four/five-year ban) addressed a situation where they pugsied people. As far as we can tell, nothing happened at all punishment-wise in regard to those screenshots. Meaning that Charlemagne was never held accountable on LotC for the vile things he had said towards other people. Appeal in question.

  5. Father Petyr reads of the missive where the Adrian forces boasted of their victory. He notices some inconsistencies within the wording of the missive, particularly the claim that nobody from Minitz was harmed yet uses the phrase "agonising screams", "the less fortunate found their escape impeded", and the mention of rounding up captives. He finds it quite clear that something is not right, and it does seem very likely that at least a few people were harmed. Furthermore, he ponders the "volatile blades" that were mentioned. He considers that perhaps these may be artifacts originating from Azdrazi magic... though he also thinks it possible that it could be some sort of alchemy he is unfamiliar with. Regardless, he considers it unusual and takes to great thought whether he should begin penning a letter. At the very least, Petyr looks through his vast collection of books until he eventually finds his copy of the Azdrazi Edition of the Bestia Conlectia. It doesn't hurt to be prepared for all possibilities.

Within the named Fi'Andria an Elven Lord wonders who even this Heinrik Sarkozic is. "Human politcs? Do these idiotic Aaunites think Elvendom cares for such... do we? I don't! But those Adrians... they make the best yoghurt! Leave us out of your stupid wars!" Lord Raziel Aevaris just shook his head.

Father Petyr wonders why the very loud Elven Lord is reading a document about Heinrik Sarkozic, inherently involved with human politics, and felt the need to make a comment about it if they truly did not care about human politics. Either they are lying, or they have an uncharacteristic interest in human politics on the other side of Almaris despite their station as an Elven Lord in Celia'nor. Most curious indeed.

  8. I know this is probably a meme, but wonks did not contribute to the server in any meaningful way the brief time they were a CA. It's why they were removed. The majority of people that applied for one did so with the intent to do Meme RP with them, and the amount of people who messed around with their wonks far outweighed those that did serious roleplay with them. Not to mention that people were trying to dissect them and amputate/kill them for frog legs because "haha funny... frog legs". Frogs are cool and all, but no.

  9. "It seems that even in times of internal strife, all the realms of Canondom can come together to ensure that the Adrians are freed by the rule of the anathematised duke. This is the power of faith, and this unity is the power of the Lord God. Let us hope that this motion comes with the least bloodshed as possible, for there is still more virtuous work to be done." the Prefect of Florentine, Father Petyr, would remark to his accompanying acolytes upon the mention of the declaration as he arranged an urn for the Florentine chapel.

  12. Father Petyr, the Prefect of the Free City of Florentine, shakes his head as he places the missive on the kitchen table of his estate. He knows it to be quite clear by Father Renzfeld's wording and outright stated unwillingness to comment on the duke's anathematisation that Renzfeld had weakened his defences and allowed temporal sin to cloud his judgement in support of the duke. While he can't possibly know the extent of this support, he predicts that the Church's law officials will not take kindly to the priest regardless.

Putting together records and documents for the housing and amenities of Florentine in his newly acquired position, he prepares for the possibility that Florentine may be required as a safe haven for the refugees from this conflict. God willing, Father Petyr works his magic as he scribes numerous documents at once.

  14. Father Petyr is curious how this supposed ancient society knew that God would have two more prophets when neither the Scroll of Virtue nor the Scroll of Spirit mentions that there would be four. Furthermore, God had started a millennium of silence shortly before the Exalted Owyn established the priesthood... thus nobody outside of Horen would have been told of two more prophets, especially a society that supposedly lived in the fifth to seventh century during the Lord's silence. He begins to believe that the Kingdom of Balian is either taking a forgery seriously, using a biased translation, using blasphemous revisionism as an attempt to improve their own legitimacy, or some mixture of the three. The Scroll of Gospel tells that after the death of Owyn that 'pagan seers watched the stars and virtuous priests read the Spirit', if there was any truth to this stone, its translation, and this alleged ancient society, it only indicates that these supposed ancient Balianites were pagans that were obsessed with the stars given that they believed that the most pious of their faith covered their body in the depiction of stars.

  15. I was very mixed as to whether or not I should make a response. I haven't interacted with Roller personally, but I think from his streams and how he presents himself publicly is enough to make some sort of judgement. I don't think Roller is being malicious for the sake of being malicious. That being said, I do not think his behaviour was really appropriate.

I think for newer players, it can also be quite difficult to distinguish the nuances between OOC and RP which are essential for making an enjoyable experience on the server. When players fail to differentiate OOC from RP, there can be real issues like the ones here. In a roleplay setting, especially one like this, there are no winners or losers. Every character has strengths and weaknesses, every character is prone to being hurt, and every character is prone to dying. While it may feel like you need to win all the time, there is more enjoyment and character development that comes from your character losing but being able to live with and/or overcome any long-lasting effects that come with their loss. If you focus too much on your character needing to win, then you're just going to stress yourself out in conflictual situations. It's a problem that some older players have difficulty with as well. However, it is your responsibility as a player to do your best to ensure that you recognise the difference because the enjoyment of this server ultimately comes from our experience with other players and if all players are able to recognise the difference between OOC and RP, it's a good environment.

It is also important to recognise that playing the server for days on end is incredibly unhealthy... mostly for your mental health. Not only does there come a point where you constantly think about the server and dream about it, but you will become very attached to the character/s that you're playing and what you're doing which can tie into what I wrote before about feeling the need for them to win. While there are already risks to being on your computer all the time (eye strain, headaches, difficulty sleeping, etc.) which I recommend everyone looks into because they're important to recognise since our whole community is online based, I want to focus on the issue of being online for long hours to the point of it going into the early morning. On the timeline of the two linked streams, you were online for 13 hours at the very least. Your Lunar Client playtime said 16 hours and 30 minutes by the time that you started the stream, but it also includes when you just have the client open so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that most of those 16 hours at the very least were not spent on the server. Your stream started at 6:16pm and you kept playing until 7:19am. The large issue with playing for very long periods into the early morning and what not is that your inhibitions are messed up because you're severely tired which in other words means that you are very prone to doing dumb things because your brain is not getting the energy it needs. This can range from brain fog, general confusion / forgetfulness, misconstruing what someone is saying, and severe things like getting angry at people or doing things that you wouldn't otherwise do. Ultimately, we're all affected differently but regardless of how it shows in our actions it will be unhealthy no matter what. It is very important that you learn to limit your play time and make sure that you are well-rested so that you are in full control of yourself.

Regardless of what happens with this report Roller, I recommend that you take a short break from the server until you develop some healthy sleeping habits because your mental health is the most important thing. It will also give you the opportunity to have some space away from your character. Even if you don't, try to get into the habit of making sure that you differentiate between OOC and RP. Just because someone may have acted in a mean way towards you in-character, it does not mean they harbour the same feelings towards you OOCly. There are quite a few players on the server that I don't like for varying reasons, however I know that I can be mature and be the bigger person by acting respectfully towards them in roleplay and OOC. Sometimes being respectful can even ease any tensions that may have been there, and a friendship can start from it too. I've also found that experiencing different communities instead of playing a set of characters surrounded by the same group is a good way to escape the close-minded nature that LotC inadvertently causes because of playerbases. There's nothing more enlightening than hearing the different perspectives of other communities on a particular topic or issue and then learning from it.

I wish you and everyone else in this thread the best. Good luck to anyone who actually read it all.

  16. Father Petyr notes that the powers afforded to the governor is in direct contradiction to the limits put in place by the Charter of the Crownlands. He would go to the table in his home in the Crownlands, preparing to write some private correspondence to King Charles.

    A Canonist’s Guide to

    Scheduling a Wedding

    2S290BpqYOdKSVwJuifuWDvwsx9dXV4bZeD8tVHK_yO6zLX8-PcW6ecs2l58CCe1C77_pMcs6uZbG4u5PSm3euJtjsO8s2xqbPEbeUboo7PoXqMZCOjqUer-8nSrMBk8ls6N_ZaR6gFIhdHowSa1NA

It is the right for all baptised Canonists to partake in one of God’s holiest sacraments. This document shall address one of the most commonplace sacraments of all: matrimony. If we have not engaged in the sacrament ourselves, there is a good chance that we know someone who has. By partaking in this sacrament, you are bringing yourself closer to God and furthering His virtues.

Before you schedule a wedding with a priest, you must first ensure that your partnership is legal within the confines of Canon Law and thus God’s virtue. Is the partnership between a man and a woman? Are both of you baptised? Are both of you above eighteen? Are you unrelated by blood and by the marriage of others (with the exception of cousins)? Are both of you the same race? Do you both intend to have children and raise them as baptised Canonists? If you’ve said yes to all of these questions, then your partnership is allowed. There are exceptions, but for the common Canonist, adherence to those is enough.

Now that you know your partnership is according to God’s virtue, now comes the time for you to schedule your wedding. A common mistake is that people are too eager and set a time they would like and send out invites to their close friends with that time, but they never organised a time with a priest beforehand.

Priests often have a busy schedule, and by setting a time without one you will not have anyone to perform the sacrament and make your partnership holy before the eyes of God. Furthermore, it is inconsiderate to consult a priest very shortly before you want the wedding to start and expect them to perform the sacrament when they may have already planned to help others at that time. The sacrament of matrimony can be a very lengthy process, so it is important that the priest is prepared and willing.

It is essential that a time is organised with your local priests to ensure that the priest performing the sacrament is prepared and ready. This is the time that you tell the priest of any relevant details such as where the location of the wedding shall take place, any additional vows, and any jewellery such as a ring, so that they can take it into consideration when planning the course of the sacrament.

Now that you know how to schedule a wedding the right way, feel free to put this method to use when you are considering undergoing the sacrament of matrimony.

  18. "Regardless of the origin of this bastard, let us hope that he keeps close to the path of Virtue. We are all sinners but it is especially important that those born outside of holy matrimony do not stray as their parents did. We inherit the sins of our fathers, but that does not mean we cannot refine ourselves by staying true to the Lord's Virtue." Father Petyr comments to passersby in New Vienne as he hears of the news of the bastard prince.

  19. What was the reason behind the decision to put a / in between the Haeseni months? It makes it seem like you can use one word or the other, but they're meant to be combined, ex. "Jula ag/and Piov", "Vzmey ag/and Hyff". Also, does the date follow the user's computer time? If so, it would be inaccurate to the true LotC time because of timezones.

Edit: I have double checked; it does indeed follow the user's computer time.
