  1. Well... Mod-approved items are typically warnings, ST-approved items are typically some sort of lore item or obtained from an event, Admin-approved items are typically just for kicks though can also be warnings or notices, CT-approved items are typically from community events, and Tech-approved items are typically for kicks but can be for something else.
  2. Yeah, we don’t really have enough time to include those places. It’s already, like, 30 seconds. However, we have footage from every nation and a couple of charters, including charters that represent races not represented in nations, so you will see some footage of Krugmar or Urguan in there. Also, Urguan is at the end of the intro! The lava area, that’s in Urguan. The home page is being reworked to be more diverse and up-to-date already, so don’t worry, this will be fixed. And as stated above, the tutorial videos do include footage from everywhere, just we can’t fit everything into the intro! I am a bit confused on where the typo is. Can you point it out? Edit: Found the typo! Thanks! Thank you for the feedback!
  3. Part 2 – Editing Items INTRODUCTION Once again, the Projects FG has come out with another script, which was then moved to the Content Creation Team for voiceovers and video editing. This time, they wrote a script on how to edit items, which was edited and revised by me, sent to @FIXER957 to voice record, then finally sent to @Tykeandy to edit together! For more information on how this process works and such, please take a look at part 1 here: EDITING ITEMS AND SOULBINDS The second video in this series is all about edit tokens! In this video, we touch on how to get tokens, all that you can do with edit tokens, how to use Soulbinds, how to get Soulbinds, and the two different types of Soulbinds. Currently, our shops tutorial script is complete, and it the voiceover is being recorded. As soon as it’s done, we’ll be working on that, so hopefully you’ll see it as part 3 of this series soon! Other scripts in the making include how to create a persona. Future scripts include how to use Soulstones and staff req’s. If you have any feedback or any ideas for future videos, either in this series or not, please feel free to leave a comment. Find the finished editing items and Soulbinds tutorial here: CREDITS Script: @AnonymousAlexa, @camocat9, @HogoBojo, @LotsOfMuffins, and @snoopie12 Voiceover: @FIXER957 Footage: @Tykeandy Graphics: @Tykeandy Editing: @Tykeandy Guest Star(s): @cap, @HogoBojo, and @LotsOfMuffins
  4. they had less than 3%, below nation requirements. if they had more activity, sure. plus it’s haelun’or and aegrothond, so youve got the high elves with a place and the other elves with a place. right at the start of the map, other nations/charters will be able to get land, as grool said. so it’s not like they wont get land at the start of the map. take a look at his reply here:
  5. Character Trope Guide Hello! In both creating an application and creating a new character once you’ve already been accepted, extremely common character tropes are something that you generally want to avoid. This quick guide will help you understand what they are and why you shouldn’t use them! What are character tropes? A character trope is a widely recognizable aspect of a story that grants you information about that character, which is often the difference between flat vs dynamic characters. On Lord of the Craft, this means elements of a character’s backstory that stand out and provide insight into a character’s life. Broad trope categories would include: Important childhood events. Did this character have a life-changing event growing up? Childhood friends. How have this character’s friends impacted them? How your character has acquired their skill set. How your character views the world around them, and why. Some things to consider when making, reviewing, or recognizing tropes on LotC are: Does this character fit a certain stereotype? Is this character’s backstory lacking in details (is it bland), or is the character’s backstory too intense (is it over the top)? Was there a justifiable cause for this character to turn out this way? And a general tip- Where is this character’s peak? You will want to make a character with a steady rise, but not yet a peak, when writing a backstory. You want to have something for your character to work for so that you will have fun roleplaying as them. What makes a character trope good or bad? The phrase ‘character trope’ often has a negative connotation; However, character tropes are not always negative! The main reason why most character tropes are bad is because of how common or cliché the trope is. Common character tropes are bad as they are simply overused and unoriginal. What are some common bad character tropes used on LotC? There are a variety of character tropes that should be avoided. Some of the common tropes are as follows: Character is orphaned at a young age because of… Bandits Orcs A freak accident Dark elves Being the only survivor of an... Massacre Accident Having an older wise teacher figure that tells you various things about the world. Joining the military because... Your family has had soldiers in the military for generations. Your father has always been your role model so you join to be just like him. Seeing someone using magic when you’re young so you decide you want to pursue magic as well. Trained his/her entire life to become an expert at... Lost all of their memories. How can you avoid using a bad character trope? When it comes to avoiding bad character tropes, there are many options at your disposal. Firstly, try and subvert your tropes! If you find yourself drawn to certain overused tropes, find ways to take only parts of them, or take them out completely. This way, you will not appear like all of the others who use the same trope. Secondly, allow change in your character. If something happens to them, let it change them. Your character's experience in roleplay should dictate how they act and take on problems. It’s alright for bad or good things to happen! Let them flow and allow them to make your character stronger. Finally, avoid clichéd situations. Sometimes, it's not what you do but the positions your character might find themselves that causes these poor tropes! Find a unique light for making a situation. If your character was kicked from the army, have it been for a reason of valor rather than one of ignoring orders. Find a way to make your character unique; then you will have a true set of RP legs to stand on. Trust your instincts, but also trust in the RP that you come across. Let it mold your character into something rare, and one of a kind. Thank you to @AccioNily, @AnonymousAlexa, @HogoBojo, and @LordScisso for working together to create this guide.
  6. good idea! thanks for the suggestion. also, the tutorial section was completely revamped, reorganized, and updated as of like a month ago! so it’s 100% up-to-date ❤️ the community team finished that project a while back thanks so much! im really happy that you like the video and the idea
  7. we were concerned about doing this due to how it will change next map, if at all. it’s changed quite a bit this map, so we haven’t really touched the idea. however, ill let the team know, and we might start on a script for that next
  8. we’ve got LOADS more in the making, not just tutorial videos! so dont worry, youll see some cool stuff. if you have any suggestions on other types, please let us know! we are doing spotlights on nations and their histories next ❤️
  9. Part 1 – Signs INTRODUCTION The Content Creation Team has started a new series for their videos: tutorials! In order to help both new and old players out, we will be creating short and informational tutorial videos on how to use various plugins and general tips. The Projects FG in the Community Team writes scripts in sections for the chosen topic, I review the scripts and edit them for clarity and cohesion, pass it onto one of our volunteer voice actors who then create the voiceovers for the script, then pass it onto a footage-gatherer in the Content Creation Team who takes cinematic footage based off of what is necessary in the script, and finally, I hand it off to a video editor to put everything together. This process is currently being used for several other videos, and it’s working, so I’m excited to get to show you guys even more! SIGNS The first video in this series that we’ve completed is the signs video! This video goes over most of what you can do with signs: link forum posts, make gates, build bridges, and create doors out of blocks. We currently have a tutorial on how to apply to the server in the making, and the scripts for tutorials on persona creation, using and making shops, and editing items are done, so we’re currently in the process of gathering voiceovers for them. I hope you guys see them soon! If you have any feedback or any ideas for future videos, either in this series or not, please feel free to leave a comment. 10. it was built pretty much entirely by @ImNerdiie (a content creator in community staff)! the cloud temple boat was built by @DylanDeNewb, though
  11. im extra thankful. but i thanked several people twice, crediting everyone where credit is due
  12. Tutorial Island INTRODUCTION Greetings, gamers! After months of preparation and hard work from all staff members involved, we are proud to present the completion of this grand project. Amidst the paradisiacal, lush landscapes of Arcas emerges our newest addition -- Tutorial Island. WHAT IS TUTORIAL ISLAND? Tutorial Island is the starting point for all new players joining LotC after being whitelisted for the first time. It provides an easy tutorial to the OOC elements and features that LotC has in store. Located separately from the mainworld, new players spawn here and are led through a series of NPCs explaining the server to them in a mechanical sense. Tutorial Island includes information on a wide variety of useful topics for new players, all in one place! It introduces chat commands; the auction-house, bank and shop systems; resource pits; LWC; and settlement info, as well as an FAQ with useful commands listed. With this addition, we aim to help all new players understand the basics of the server and provide a better first experience for players, ensuring that new players are taught the ropes and things they need to get started while preserving the time of our volunteers for a more interactive, RP-immersed guidance after they have completed the tutorial. LAUNCH Tutorial Island, as of this moment, is in full effect. If you’d like to see the island for yourself, head to the Shop of Wonders, where you’ll find a dock and a boat that’ll take you there! If you get lost, contact a Community Team member. CREDITS A lot of fantastic people helped with Tutorial Island’s creation. This project has been in the works for many, many months. As such, there are lots of people to credit for various portions of the project! Some of the following individuals are past Community Team members, some are current, and some World Team members who have helped out.

Community Meeting Notes ~ July 2020 ~ Topics 8.0 Lore Recordings Part 1: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19INnLWSbujo4jFck9QduRBhHs7nCLq5A/view?usp=sharing Part 2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NlAspsWbexKqq4092nhNW6BSXswg8OoD/view?usp=sharing Part 3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uI6Vk2J9NwRj5yY8CwzClQWgYRd13-ju/view?usp=sharing Questions and Answers “How is Curios coming along? (For Telanir)” -Soul#9694 Unfortunately Telanir is not here but I will save the question! “What's the situation on cannons, guns, etc.? (For Story)” -AstienGreenhart#7262 Rift: We have I believe two pieces of lore written by the players for cannons. Once we get through the pieces from the lore games, we’re gonna be looking at those. If they’re accepted, people can make cannons. Guns are a techlock thing, that’s for us admins to consider, and I can not give you a definitive answer on that right now. As it stands, guns aren’t a thing. “How are the staff doing, both in general and in handling Covid-19/Work/school stress combined with LOTC? (For Administration)” -Nakis#6810 Covid is wild, it gives me twenty more hours a week to work on LotC, so… yay? “What can we expect from 8.0? (For World)” -Soul#9694 In terms like the world itself (builds): Sick map and builds- and we’re working our ass off for quality builds for you guys. In terms of the story and how we'll get there (Story): Story team is already working on a bunch of stuff for 8.0, right Rift? (Yeah) We’ve had some ideas for how we can do transition based events for the next few months leading up until map transfer, yeah. We’ve got a custom map coming up, if you guys saw the teaser. We’re working hard on getting out a rich world to explore and trying to get the best builds on the server. In terms of the plugins we'll use (Development): No devs present! I have chatted with llir about plugins and stuff- there are a lot of cool things currently in the works. I don’t know the status of them, but 8.0 we’ll see a lot of changes. “When are we moving? (For Administration)” -Sham00e#5026 You guys will know when we announce a date. “How will you explain the end of the world? (For Story)” -Its all so tiresome#0066 We had a teaser recently, as I mentioned before we’re planning some stuff out for how the map might end/how we’re getting off. We have things in the works for it. “Will blobiverse be early access? (For Telanir)” -Billy Sham#7300 That’s for Telanir, unfortunately I know nothing about that. “Will anything be done with the nether next map? (For World and Story)” -RedRiderYT#7752 If you’re referring to Xarley’s event line, but that’s limited to this map. We might have future plans, it depends. “If not, will the resources be in the ct pits? Or will those be gone? (For World)” -Bethinwonderland#3240 Find out in the trailer, dude. Going to have to wait and see. There will be alternative ways to getting resources rather than only in CT, I’ll say that. “I'm very excited by the possible economy changes, are those still coming along like the last post indicated, or have there been further changes? (For World)” -Nakis#6810 Yeah I mean Hiebe isn’t here right now but they’re working on it. It’s looking interesting so far, yes. “When you are performing a heist can you target a shop? (Shop plugin chests) (For Mods)” -Soul#9694 Yes! If it’s in a chest, it’s fair game in a heist. This implies that chests shouldn’t be placed in inaccessible locations- there’s a rule against hidden chests. “From the orcish end of the Uzg, when can we expect some approval on the rehauled shamanism lore that was recently finished? (For Story)” -The Hunter#0877 So, everything’s been posted again, we need to get through another few pieces. It might take a week or two, it depends on how long it takes for the other pieces. “When using ST approved herbs to make salves and other medicines, you do not get a new item for the medication that is made from the herbs. Is there any plan for creating separate items for the medication made using ST approved herbs, with a set amount of uses? The raw reagent and the medication being the same item is rather annoying when keeping things organized and it kind of hurts immersion. (For Story)” -Desired#2831 I guess if that’s something you guys want to be done mechanically, that might be something for tech. I know we had stuff being made for the professions plugin, but I’d have to talk to [someone] more about that. From a roleplay POV, that could be done through /sreqs but that might be too much of a hassle. “Why is the server soo buggy and clitchy. From crashes to lag to alot of clitches. Such as if u read a book it crashes your game. Is it cause of the covid 19 and is there anything that can be done to at least make it better (For Devs)” -Sharkie#5450 A lot of the book issues stem from minecraft itself. If you find a specific book you’d like to report you can report it on the forums. “Will we remain on 1.15 during 8.0 so we don't have a repeat of what happened last time we swapped? (For Devs)” -Evonpire#0044 Yes. “I apologize for double question asking, but is development on 8.0 far enough to know this. Will we be seeing more event lines unfold on 8.0, on a world basis to really make the atmosphere more interesting? (For Story)” -Evonpire#0044 Yeah. There will be more eventlines like this, yep. “With the Advent of 8.0, will we be seeing more event sites in general to represent the new and untamed continent? (For Story)” -Salty Alty#7030 Yes, there will be. “How big will the 8.0 map be in regards to ease of travel? Will players being pushing forward for 5+ minutes to go from one side of the map to the other? (For Devs, Admin?)” -DisembodiedVoices#7403 It would take more than 5 minutes if you wanted to walk, yeah. It’s still gonna be a large map that you can adventure through. There will be ways to make travel easier. “When are you finally releasing. The conflict rule rewrite? It’s been ages and without conflict the server is becoming staler and staler each day (For Mod Admin)” -kipps#1051 Most of the rules are an admin approval, so you’ll see ‘em. They’re not in creation anymore any that’s the plus side. “Can we hear 8.0 map name? (For World)” -TimberBuff#2397 No. “Will techlock be changed in any way between this 7.0 and 8.0? How would the Wiki and Lore be affected by these changes, if at all? (For Story)” -Riftiro#9118 Similar to guns, it’s something the admins need to discuss. I don’t think there’s going to be sweeping overhauls again. If we do make adjustments, it’s going to be a small thing saying like ‘oh you can use this piece of technology now’. For the second question, the wiki will be updated to reflect the changes. The wiki is been getting a massive update by Lyonharted, hopefully soon. But everything, every single page will be up to date. “When might we start expecting some end if the map type events? (For Story)” -cobbler#0001 Soon. “Will we be switching to 1.9 pvp finally, the hit delay make pvp really awkward, I feel that 1.9 pvp would solve that problem. I would also assume that in 8.0 there would be weapons that you could adjust the swing rate of, making nexus weapons more varied, making 1.9 more viable for the new map. (For Devs)” -Law Gnome#8558 I will ask Telanir! Highly doubt it will be 1.9. “Will we have things like thirst and food going off and things like that again soon? (For Devs)” -AstienGreenhart#7262 Another Tech Team question. We’ll answer when we can! “So, when we transfer to 8.0, how are item transfers from this map to the next gonna work? Economy updates? (For World)” -LordScisso#5640 We’re probably gonna do what we did last time and ask you to put items into a vault of some sort. If those items have a lore-approval, we might resign them. If they’re outdated, let’s say for runesmithing for example, we would take those items out. Something like that. As for resources, I doubt we’ll be letting those through. “Where is the best place I can find recent and up to date info about things to come and stuff going to be happening soon in regards to the LOTC. Such as plugin development goals, teasers, map change etc.” -Danylwb#5287 The announcements section of the forums as well as the Discord announcements. “Why was runesmithing denied?” -Racker / Lefty#7206 It didn’t fit the criteria of what the ST were looking for. “Can those map transitioning items not be affected by text and formatting, as last transition made lots of items look horrible overall & 'signed by flam' (For Admin/Tech)” -nano#0784 We do have access to a command that can remove signatures, so we won’t have to do reformatting on all that- hopefully. “Can the runesmithing question be elaborated on, what exactly did not fit the criteria (For Story)” -Racker / Lefty#7206 That is something I (Rift) am grabbing from one of my managers. “With magic, will self teaching be brought back in any way shape or form? (For Story)” -Luna_Faithful#4247 Self teaching is already a thing. “So, on economy updates for next map, what should we expect? Will money be harder to come across than just for voting? (For World)” -LordScisso#5640 Yes, much harder. It’s gonna be more dynamic rather than just getting on each day to get a set amount of mina. You’ll have to start working for your money. “Will shop of wonders still be a thing next map? (For World)” -Sliw#0001 I guess that’s up to the economy team. “Will there be a magic plugin? (For Devs)” -garentoft#1980 That’s another tech question. “Will safety be a thing again? (For Admin)” -Sliw#0001 Safety is still a thing. “Is it possible to get more enchantments for next map, rather than locked to shop of wonders? (For Tech)” -nano#0784 That would be another tech question unfortunately. “Will we get more looks at 8.0 before it comes out? like sneak peeks, etc. (For World)” -AstienGreenhart#7262 Yeah!
  17. Seems I forgot to input the last racial graph, I’ll send it here and add it to the post!
  18. COMMUNITY TEAM UPDATE LOG JUNE 2020 INTRODUCTION Hello again! With the completion of projects, new monk uniforms, and as usual, lots of guidances and applications, this month has been just as jam-packed as the last. I’m excited to tell you guys about everything that’s been going on, and I hope that you guys do read through the whole thing, and have a lovely Wednesday! JUNE DATA - Overview - This month, we saw a total of 370 apps handled, with 200 new players welcomed onto LotC. Last month, we had 370 applications and 200 new players. Once again, we’ve still maintained about a 1:1 acceptance versus denial rate, with the exact amount being 44.1% of applications being accepted, 8.9% less than last month. As a reminder, the biggest reasons for denial is due to applicants not making the necessary changes within 24 hours of being placed on pending. It appears as though the coronavirus spike, however, is lessening. I’ve put together a graph where you can see the applications we’ve received per month so far this year, and you can see the spike making its peak in April and slowly stabilizing back to normal. To see this graph, look below at “Monthly Applications”. - Monthly Applications - - Accepted/Denied Ratios - - Race Specific Data - - New Player Guidance - TEAM DATA - Application Team Data - APPLICATION KING/QUEEN This month’s Application Queen goes to... @AnonymousAlexa! @AnonymousAlexa Followed behind by @Hopesky123 and @AccioNily! With 100 applications, Alexa truly has become the Application Queen we all aspire to be. I don’t really understand how she does it, as the most I’ve gotten is, like, 70, but dang that’s some dedication. CURRENT ROSTER Community Administrator @LotsOfMuffins Community Managers @armajesty @N00tN00t_ @TimberBuff Community Team Members @AccioNily @AnonymousAlexa @Brandybrook @camocat9 @Dinochann @HogoBojo @Hopesky123 @LordScisso @MC_BreadStick @moosehunter123 @MrMineLoveDude @snoopie12 @StickyPepto @UwUPlant Content Creators @Amelica @Beordan @ElvenMommaHacker @ImNerdiie @JokerLow @Parion @xDK Wiki Team Members @1_Language_1 @Aelisus @DevoutChorale_ @JokerLow @Scipp3r @Tigergiri PROJECT UPDATES Application Team – @armajesty Hello, everyone! The Application Team has been hard at work this month in keeping up with applications. After a group of Community Team members tackled a ton of applications in one day we have steadily been able to keep the submissions down to one page. Our team has been working extremely hard, despite the overwhelming amount of apps that are being submitted. (As of June 28th we are sitting just above 300 applications this month). While the Application Team has been separated into it's own focus group many of the regular Community Team members are still hard at work, handling applications whenever they are available. This small change in the team has really benefitted us in regards to productivity as we experience far less burnout from overworked members. Alongside all of this, we have begun to work on ways to spruce up our applications by adding rotating roleplay scenarios in order to gain more varied responses from applicants and further measure the skill they bring to the server Content Creation – @N00tN00t_ Hi guys! Fie's here again with another HAWT update for the Content Creation Team! We've been hard at work - as always. At this point, I would like to thank all of my Content Creators for their incredible work, devotion and love. Big shout-out to @Amelica for making art for the skin archive! Big shout-out to @JokerLow for collecting a lot of footage! Big shout-out to @xDK for literally working hard all the time! I'd also like to thank @ImNerdiie, @Parion, and @ElvenMommaHacker for being hard at work as well! We've managed to do a lot this month, and honestly, all I can say right now is that I hope you guys keep up the good work! For next month, we'd like to finish some videos, recruit a few more video editors and maybe a few more skinners and artists as well. If you are interested in joining the Content Creation Team, feel free to apply for an interview here; https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forms/52-content-creation-staff-application/. Events – All Management The month of June held two of our repeating events; the Creative Cafe and the Battle of the Arts! This month flew by, but we have much in store for the players of Lord of the Craft. We have three events planned for the future though all of which remain a secret... for now. Look forward to the forum posts that will be featured in the Announcements section of the forums later this month for tons of fun! We'd like to give a big thank you to all over the Community Team volunteers who make these events possible and who strive to bring the community together. Thanks to everyone for your participation Pots and Pandits – @TimberBuff Hey friends! Your friendly neighborhood tree here to give you some updates on Pots and Pandits! We've gotten the project off the ground with some basics, a training area, and the personas and lore of it being set up. Right now, we're working a few of the kinks out of the system, such as working on how individual sessions will work, the pass/fail system, and quite a bit more! Stay tuned for a bunch of delinquents going to the inexperienced fighters of the world and demanding they hand over their pots and pans. We look forward to working with you all! Read more about the Pots and Pandits team here: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/192542-pots-and-pandits/. Projects – @snoopie12 Hey there! New face here, I am snoopie and had the honor to lead the projects focus group a bit. This month the projects group has shaken a few times due to managers departing from staff, so we had quite a few different managers for projects last month. Because of this we have not made the massive progress we did last month, however, I am happy to announce that some of our major projects are releasing soon! Tutorial Island is awaiting its last admin review, while our ‘travelers guild’ is going through community management review. Once passed by the community team the monk lore rewrite will be going towards the lore team for review. Then we also have some fresh new projects introduced this month, starting with our uniforms. We are hardly working on updating our monk uniforms and making some nice skins for both monks as members of the ‘travelers guild.’ Our other new project is script writing! In this project, we write scripts for ‘how-to’ videos that help the player base, especially new players to understand how things on the server work. All with all next month promises to be a great month with lots of progress. Furthermore, we will be gathering feedback from the players on what our next major project could be, so if you have anything that would improve the server and is a bit realistic, please let us know! Wiki Team – @TimberBuff The Forum Technician, @Lyonharted™, has been working on a new major update for the wiki still and is continuing great work! We’ve seen some of this update being made, and it looks fantastic so far. While we are waiting for the update, Wiki Team members are working on updating various outdated pages as well as creating new ones that are referenced in different parts of the wiki but were never made. Once again, if you’d like to help with this large update for the wiki (it’s lots of moving and copying pages), please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/ENVJ6CCZSr67LK4EA. JULY’S DIRECTION Last month was primarily about engagement, projects, and more community advocacy. This month, we’re focusing more on the solidification of our new team, the Application Team, and our revised focus group, Pots and Pandits, as well as pushing out some projects and content! Last Month’s Goals Tutorial Island Tutorial Island is done. The last thing we are waiting for is our lovely Development Administrator to be back from a quick trip to help us release it! But the details, NPCs, region flags, buildings, even the forum post is 100% done. So as soon as we’re ready, it’ll be released! Just as a note, you will be able to go to Tutorial Island without being a newly-accepted player by heading to the dock next to the Shop of Wonders. It is there right now, but you can’t actually use the boat until it’s released. Application Team So far, the institution of the Application Team has been a success. Even when Application Team members are unavailable to help all the time, they still assist with reviewing applications, making decisions on applications, providing input, etc. In addition, it relieves the stress of being required to do applications from the Community Team members who didn’t necessary sign up for apps, though it still allows members to select the AT as their focus group if they did sign up for apps. It’s a win-win situation, and the separation of apps from the team’s core duties was, for sure, the right decision. Community Events We’ve continued with our community events this month, with another Battle of the Arts and Creative Cafe being run this month. Currently, we have two more events in the making, so keep an eye out for announcements regarding those! I’m hoping that we will always have at least two events in the making (besides repeated monthly events such as Battle of the Arts) in order to keep community events going, and with any Community Team member being able to volunteer to run an event, it looks like we’re gonna see more and more events in the future. This Month’s Goals Tutorial Island Once again, this is going to be a goal, as even though it is done, it will require the team to monitor it, gather feedback from players, etc. to ensure that it is the best it possibly can be. Of course, I anticipate that Tutorial Island will require some work even after its release due to feedback and possible mistakes we didn’t catch beforehand, though I’m thrilled to finally have it out and ready. Monk Lore and the Traveller’s Guild The Traveller’s Guild has been a thing for a long while, though it hasn’t been released yet. Current, it is being reviewed by Community management, so I’m looking to see the project finally integrated alongside Tutorial Island, since both will change the way monk guidance works. As for monk lore, it’s been rewritten (though still based off of the the Triumvirate and such) by the team, so once it is reviewed fully by Community management, it will be sent on to the Story Team. This is hopefully something that will be done this next month as well. Projects Focus Group The Projects focus group has been hard at work on guides, Tutorial Island, monk lore, traveller’s guild, and a monk guidance rewrite. However, all of these projects are at an end. Guides was moved to Broom Crew and completed a month or two ago, Tutorial Island is done and awaiting release, monk lore is written, Traveller’s Guild and the monk guidance rewrite are awaiting management reviewal, and that leaves nothing left for them to do! As such, this is another focus for this month: starting new projects for the Projects focus group. The group has already put together a feedback form for you guys to suggest what you’d like to see us work on, so if you have any ideas, find the form here: https://forms.gle/k5gdAwp2cjvPJzZt9. If you have any questions or comments about the direction that we are going in, feel free to leave a comment down below or reach out to a team member.

Your application has been put on pending, as there are changes needing to be made before you may be accepted, as follows: Your Powergaming Definition is not quite there. Please refer to the metagaming and powergaming definitions in our Wiki for help. https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Metagaming_%26_Powergaming Your Character Biography must be at least ten sentences in length. Please lengthen accordingly. Your Character Biography mentions that your character is a wood elf, though your Character Race is listed as an orc. Please pick one. Your Roleplay Scenario is powergaming. In addition, your character cannot know magic. Your Character Skin is not up to LotC standard. Please refer to our Skin Archive for help. https://sites.google.com/view/skinarchive/home If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @LotsOfMuffins#0119 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions. If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki, and I highly recommend joining our discord and reading through the New Player Guide as well. https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/ https://discord.gg/fwEQA2F https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/191596-the-new-player-guide/

Congratulations, you’ve been accepted! Welcome to Lord of the Craft! Now that you’re accepted, you will spawn in Cloud Temple as a player and be able to interact with the world around you. If you need any help, you can message me in game by doing /msg LotsOfMuffins, or if I’m not online, you can find me on discord @LotsOfMuffins#0119. Lastly, if you need any guidance in-game, and I am not around, please do /creq along with a message as to what you need, and another Community Team Member will get to you as soon as possible! After reading the below information and logging into LotC, I highly recommend sending this in chat so a Community Team Member can help you out: /creq I have just been accepted and would like a Wilven Monk! When joining, the bot may be down that normally automatically whitelists you after the acceptance of your application. So, please go into the wandering soul channel (#ws) and ask for a Community Team Member to accept you! I highly recommend you join the LotC discord using the invite link below, and please look through the New Player Guide! https://discord.gg/fwEQA2F https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/191596-the-new-player-guide/ In addition, I recommend taking a look at our Settlement Guides. Below, I’ve linked the settlements you may be interested in based on your character’s race. https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Nations_and_Major_Charters https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Elven_Settlement_Guides https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Fenn_Settlement_Guide https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Oren_Settlement_Guide https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Urguan_Settlement_Guide If you aren’t interested in any of those, take a look at our Settlement Guide Hub! https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Settlement_Guides
