Actually, this is an event that is essentially sponsored by the Community Team! One of our members wanted to run it independently, and so we are letting him broadcast it and run it as a fun way for the community to all come together. Alongside this we also do Monk Guidance, run to LOTC discord, are actively answering questions in #ws and #h, run Pots and Pandits for players who need help learning more about CRP, conduct interviews on different topics (like the charter reform system) from numerous players in order to conduct feedback, work on larger projects like the Tutorial Island to better integrate new players (which was released just recently), work together with the Content Creation team to create the Tutorial Video Series, and handle applications! I’m sure I am missing a few things as I didn’t even begin to talk about events like Creative Cafe, Battle of the Arts, and more, but if you ever have any constructive feedback for our team and the areas that we can improve please let me know! Results! Greetings, Lord of the Craft members! The Community Events Team is once again pleased to announce the end of the seventh Battle of the Arts contest. As the title suggests, this is a competition where you -- our creative playerbase -- can enter your artistic creations to earn prizes. The categories include visual arts, creative writing/poetry, music, skinning, building, and video-editing. One winner has been selected by the Community Team from each of the categories, making a total of 4 winners. We hope those who participated had fun with the event. We will be back in three months for the ‘October - Battle of The Arts’ competition with a Horror theme! We strive to keep a theme that is vague enough to allow artists to create their own interpretation of what this means while still providing specific guidelines. The June - Battle of the Arts had a decent turnout, but we are always encouraging everyone to spread the news! It was amazing seeing all of the creative works that everyone had to offer. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the contest and cannot wait to see what happens next. With that being said, we are pleased to announce the winners of the June Battle of the Arts contest! Your backstory includes an infamous rise to fame of your character, this is something that must be learned in game. Greetings fantastic people of LotC! The Community Team is happy to announce our 7th Battle of the Arts! In case you don’t know, this is our special CT-run event in which we hold a contest for all you creative folk to submit your work! There’s six categories: artwork, creative writing/poetry, music, skinning, building, and video editing, and there will be six winners. The deadline for this contest is June 30th. We’re excited to see your lovely entries! Remember that Battle of the Arts is a tri-monthly contest, so if you don’t enter this month, you can always enter next time! - Theme - The theme for June’s Battle of the Arts is Water! - Prize - The winners shall receive a prize of 2500 mina, a mystery item from the Shop of Wonders, and a shell charm custom item! - Criteria - - All content entered must coincide with the theme of the month. - Creative Writing is limited to 1500 words and must have the google document linked to ensure the criteria have been followed (you can still paste the document in the post for all to read easily). - You are allowed to submit up to 1 submission per category. - Submissions are to be posted in the comment of this thread.
