Having been born 5 years prior to the emigration from Arcas to Almaris, Jordan didn't have much memory of the previous land he hailed from. His mother and father both abandoned him during the emigration due to pure accident. This caused Jordan to have to learn to fend for himself on the streets of Providence. Growing up on the streets of Providence were rough and most days he barely managed to scrounge up food if he was lucky. Having no true education he never learned to how to read, do math, or even socialize properly with others. Jordan's vocabulary and people skills were heavily effected by this having nearly no friends for much of his youth. He continued on the streets for much of his life until his early teenage years. It was then that he ventured out of the city of Providence outwards into the rural area surrounding the city. There he began work as a laborer for the farmers and miners of the Holy Orenian Empire. He continued this work until his 18th nameday. On this day he decided that he wanted to try and make something else out of his life and decided to try and enlist in the Imperial State Army of Oren.
