  1. what are the inspirations for the LOTC languages? are any of them purely made up/created by a lotc player?

      Most are sourced from other materials.

      Blah is based on the Black Speech from LotR adjusted by an old WoW RP clan that transplanted it to the server in the early days.

      Flexio is Latin, used for Aenguls, Daemons, and Canonism.

      The Raev accent is various Slavic tongues.

       

      Waldenian is German.

       

      Illatian is Italian.

       

      Other analog languages are out there.


      IDK where Elven comes from.

      Old Blah is a mix of Black Speech from LOTR, from some other Orc Languages. Ilzkarn and LOTC Black Speech have some funky connections to it that I'm not lore smart enough to know.

       

      Elven is largely made up to my knowledge, probably adding to why it's a total mess.
