Marceline grew up in a large family in a very small cottage in the mountains, although having many other siblings, she has the strongest relationship to her sister Marianna and tends to get jealous rather quickly when she spends her time with someone else. Growing up, she saw Marianna as a motherly figure, following her pretty much anywhere she went along with having extreme seperation anxiety from Marianna. One day, Marceline and Marianna went for a walk quite a ways away from their cottage, whereas they came across the Kingdom of Norland. While Marianna was busy making her own connections and friends, Marceline fell in love with the beautiful ocean and terrain, while also finding a hobby for nursing animals, and other species.
