DISCLAIMER: This lesser was only created for her cosmetic abilities. I disagree with using the 'Lust ' and 'Pleasure ' part of her lore. This spirit has a horrible connotation OOCly for that reason. She will never be used for anything that even relates to those. Her Mermaid form is not related to being a siren whatsoever. She will never flirt with anyone in her realm, or hint at anything of the sort.
Since the concept of beauty was born, so was she. When the first person laid eyes on another and truly saw the beauty in them? Came her. For honoring beauty had always been her calling. The world was full of it, she thrived off of it for centuries. Though as time went on, she noticed her abilities beginning to weaken. Then thought of her. Someone full of insecurity, truly she needed help. She needed to look around, to stop. Stop for a moment, life is fast. If you don't stop every now and then, you'll miss it and everything it has to offer.
Revekka, her name was. Nzuri, The Spirit of Beauty, had set her eyes on the woman.
There was her realm. An ocean that went as far as the eye could see, an island surrounded by the calm waves. On this island, after your feet would dig into the sand. Water pushing upon you, before receding once more. The pull from the tide was gentle, yet unforgiving to anything that may have the unfortunate luck to find itself way in the vast oceans. Let her eyes look upon the trees, a jungle. Though, this island was small. From her point of view, you could see the island curving into a near perfect circle, she could easily walk to the next end of it. And so she did, or she attempted.
As Revekka went on into the jungle, it seemed as if the island was bigger. She continued to walk, every step feeling as if she was walking backwards. But then it came to her. This island was an atoll. In the middle of the lagoon, there seemed to be even smaller island in the middle, though it looked the same size as the general island. She stepped onto the water, prepared to swim, but the need never came. Beneath her feet she was lifted by a lily pad. With her next step another, lotus flowers began to sprout next to her as well. The fish began to swirl under neath her, dolphins hopping over her - only leaving her hair wet.
Though, it was a spectacle, she continued on. Before she reached the center. In the middle of this island was a cave which was oddly placed, seemingly leading underground. As she peered into it, she tilts her head as she grabbed onto the walls, her hair falling to the side as her celestite eyes took in her surroundings. It was much deeper, very very much so. But Revekka was trusting, she had been in plenty of spirit realms at this point. It was a sight she was used to, it didn't have to make sense. So she continued on, stepping into small puddles as she went.
"Hello?"
Her voice bounces off the walls of the cave moving a piece of her slick hair off of her face, taking a few moments to get every strand. In front of her, a crab came along to dance before scurrying off - Revekka ran after it, but the rocks didn't hurt her feet. It felt like she was running on a cloud. She focused on the smell of the salty waters as she ran, keeping her eyes on the red crab. When was the last time she ate crab again? Whatever. Not like that matters right now anyway - she thought. It was in the center of the cave, the sunlight peaked through the top. The rocks weren't there, allowing a full view of the sun. It took her a few moments to register,
Hair? Is that hair?
She thought once more, taking a few steps closer. She created ripples in water as she began to lower herself into it. Did they need help? Maybe it was a test? Quickly, her theories were disregarded. Out of the water came the head of a lady, water running off of it, droplets falling off her skin in turn. That was the first time they met. Revekka was treated with kindness, she spoke about some of her insecurities, and was taught how to view herself in a better light. She didn't care much for the emotions themselves, but she cared for the meaning of beauty. It was then Revekka would be given trials. She built a shrine near the water for Nzuri. Though it was small, it worked. Offering of jewelry and makeup would work as well, anything that would resemble beauty, it didn't matter. For when it came to visit again, Nzuri was different.
She looked completely different. This time she was a drider. Though that might seem scary to most, it was simply a test. Revekka noticed the colorful legs. They were vibrant, pleasant to the eye. In her next visits, all of her physical traits would represent variants of abstract beauty, even though most people might find them unpleasant and frightening, others would find it alluring. Elegant, and amazing. Even so, her flesh half would always be an anchor for her aspects of objective beauty. Long flowing hair and warm eyes for example. No matter if she was an elf, or a goblin. Maybe a human this time, perhaps a dwarf. There was beauty in everything.
Finally, this was understood. Revekka had come to realize that. Even though she may have doubts sometimes, she knew.
"Do you think you're ready?" "Yes."
