The d'Artagnan was ready for this. She had been since the late Emperor became the Emperor of the Azuras and all of Mankind. She smiled slightly. A half hearted smile as she was getting a bit old but still had a fighting spirit in her. And the desire for honor and glory. "Bring them on then." She said simply. "'Ave Concordia'? 'Unite Azuras'? 'Rejoice'? They mock us." She picked up her halberd and went to tell her friends and family. Perhaps they'd be interested.
-
Hilda read the missive regarding the events of the Gala. She didn't remember much, but remembered being proud of her niece. "Ah. Too bad she didn't get chosen. Oh well. Maybe next time." She folded the missive neatly and shoved it somewhere in her room before continuing to perform monthly maintenance on her weapons and gear.

Nursing an injury to the head, Hilda knew that Taverns were no place for her to spend her time. Nevertheless, she found herself listening in on snippets of strangers' conversations and leaning forth to eagerly listen, and admittedly eavesdrop, for more. "I see..." She mumbled to herself. She figured that her head was healed enough. She didn't get anymore headaches and she could hold her sword steady. And she didn't need that cane anymore. She stood, walking back to the d'Artagnan estate to prepare herself and write a letter. Would this be a tragic tale of a naive girl searching for Glory? Or the first of many great deeds in the name of d'Artagnan? Only GOD knows. And only time will tell. @Ryse

Hilda would jump in joy upon this missive being delivered. "Huzzah! Huzzah! Long live Idunia! Long live the Empire! Long live the d'Artagnan house! We've won! The war is over! The war is over!" She'd smile and jump with joy. A part of her was grateful that the war was over and that no more blood would be shed. The other part felt saddened that she wouldn't be able to see glory on the battlefield again. In any case, the d'Artagnan buzzed with excitement and joy. "Glory! Glory to the d'Artagnan house!"
-
Hilda read the missive as she sharpened her sword after battle. A smile donned her face upon Cassius', her name, and her brother, Barathan's name on the missive. "A battle well fought! I think I did my part well on the trebuchets." She'd say, praising herself. She stood, placing her sword by her bedside and folding the missive neatly and tucking it away in her room. "Long live Idunia. Long live the Empire. And long live the d'Artagnan house! May we all prosper and grow ever more!" She'd say to no one, feeling the buzz and excitement of victory and a job well done.

Hilda nodded, a smile couldn't help but quickly form on her weary face. The news of a wedding to look forward to after a lackluster warclaim. Just what she needed. "To think my sister will be married soon. Why, I can hardly believe it!" She set the missive aside in her room and went to the barracks to train, thoughts of a joyful wedding and a more promising warclaim ahead.
-
Hilda nodded at Barathan's declaration, marching behind him, clad in Daemonsteel. "Glory to Idunia! Glory to Artagnan!" She echoed, her spirit and thirst for battle set ablaze.

The Idunian Marine nodded at the missive, absorbing the information with a determined look in her eyes. "Forsooth. It's unfortunate that such a creature integrated themselves amongst us so casually. Yet, it is only commendable and honorable that the Crown takes both the blame and the duty to correct its mistakes." She stood up, folding the missive neatly and placing it aside to return to training. "I will contribute as much as I can. To purge the dark from these lands. Ave Imperium. Forsooth."
-
Hilda raised her brow in astonishment. "To think Lord Daemon would do such a thing... Shocking, forsooth." She was planning to spar Daemon again for training. But it would seem as if that wouldn't be happening any time soon. She'd fold the missive neatly before chucking it into the trash.

Hilda shook her head in distress, tossing the missive aside. She sighed deeply as she spiraled. "Long live the d'Artagnan house..." Things won't be easy now.

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "You've been expecting me?" Hilda repeats back as she complies, sitting down on the chair indicated by the old lady. She furrows her brow in confusion before speaking up again. "You must be the lady Ma told me about then." A polite smile appears on her face. "I'm Hilda. Hilda Fritz. Nice to meet you." She reaches across the table to shake the old lady's hand, the way her father told her to greet people. But the old lady doesn't shake her hand so Hilda awkwardly sits back down. "Alright..." She cleared her throat and began. "I'm a farmer. Or, at least I was." She smiles awkwardly as she scratches her head. "I used to live with my Ma and Pa. But then Pa went off for some mercenary work and... Well, he never came back again. Ma told me about a place I could go to to start anew. I don't know why this was the spot. Ma had a lot of secrets she never told me about. And Pa had just as much too. But he told me he'll explain it all when I get older. Ma told me the same too but..." Hilda frowns. "Well, she just told me to come here. Ma was always one for riddles and such..." Hilda nods as she composes herself. "Ever since then I've been running around doing the odd job here and there. Gathering money for fares and trekking toward... Well... You." Hilda looks up, referring to the old hag. "And now I'm here. Took a while too..." Hilda furrows her brow in confusion once more. "Well... What about you? What's your story? Why did Ma send me here?"
