@ bluesky - Well said ! I agree with a majority of what you have to say. I've world-painted 3.0 map, and it took me two weeks+ to do so :< Now we'll go in and slowly build up the landscape with voxel sniper when mod-requests aren't ablaze and go through each, grueling step there-after.

January, it's hard to say considering the amount of work that is going into this map - We will be granting limited creative/vanish to assist in easing the pain of arduous build projects and it will be roleplayed as if you've hired a "builders guild" to assist you. This is partially why we've kept our mouth shut about 3.0, we don't want role-play to be affected because of it. Yet we don't want the community to think we're not doin' anything in regards to it, it's a double edged sword and I hope we can sway you to continue your project.

The Aegis map was falling apart, and we only had 35 days to create the entire map. Everyone involved with LoTC was a less intuitive then - We've got more time, more heads and a community that knows what they want, we don't need much else! Just keep in mind that these current Asulon events that are stirring, will effect your experience in the next realm ~

Current Happenings 9/4/2012 1. The Event-Team as Lysistrata Villagers have been tasked in roleplay to acquire a few books written by Wilven Adonan himself that only a handful of players have recovered from some very important ruins. 2. An Ex-Xanthos miner has sold two, very intriguing goblin books to two different factions after being kicked out of the Miners guild for thievery. ( These goblin books speak of some very.. important "Artifacts" hidden in Asulon. He sold each book to separate factions due to his quarrels with Xanthos and his desire to get more for his finds. ) 3. The Event team has not been told OOCly of these events, and the outcomes are completely up to the interactions the players have with the Event-Team as well as those who have their hands on the very sensitive information found in the texts. 4. The GM team has begun work on LoTC 3.0's landmass, orienting racial locations and creating a road system that promotes consistent and fluid roleplay with the help of all the suggestions mentioned in previous 3.0 threads. 3.0 WILL NOT BE RELEASED FOR MONTHS TO COME, AND PLAYERS WILL BE BROUGHT ONTO THE MAP TO HELP ( Details will be provided in a Development Diary that will be posted sometime this month, hopefully ) As usual, I trust none of you will use this information in-character as I made this post to show you guys that there is very deep-rooted lore happening right under your nose ! Aye, I can confirm that we do have a "Limited Creative" plugin and a reasonable amount of minas you can hire "workers" and build with the ability to fly and vanish, while in this rank you will be unable to soulstone and will have a "No-exit" region flag placed around the area you're building. There's so many incredible builds in Asulon we felt, when we do switch we have to assist in this process. More time spent RP'ing and possibly more detailed works!

We have a GM forum section for 3.0 and have consolidated a ton of ideas and ways of influencing roleplay using clever means (many of these ideas were provided by players aswell) - weather it be more freedoms and roleplay oriented acquirement of charters or designing the features of the landscape to assist in consistent flow of roleplay and unique atmosphere. Expect more information after the Event-Teams first true installment ~
