    He hasn't spoken to me since the 23rd - without warning, we require a few passwords from him but if he is unable to respond getting issues like "buycraft" fixed will be a bit more of a headache, we'll see.

    Dgco was a plugin writer & dungeon creator for hero-craft and former roleplayer here on LoTC. Alectriciti made incredible animations for the server when he played here and he has since gone on to create a fair few of rp-oriented plugins and we even use one of his plugins on the 3.0 build server ! ( biome-brush )

    I would like to officially announce that Dgco & Alectriciti will be joining us on our quest for the ultimate role-playing experience - I'm so excited to say that these two will creating and maintaining LoTC's plugins and technical updates ! We'll be renting out a new box at a different data-center tonight, this time in LA! The server should be up this week, keep in-mind that we will modifying a fair few of plugins and we may experience some more downtime and/or bugs during this huge change - I ask for your patience and understanding during this time. Thanks you!

    We are currently contacting various hostings to find which is the most appropriate and cost effective - hope this eases your mind. In the mean time, i'll be making a series of threads similar to the land-claim to collect general consensus - let's enjoy the forums :geek:

      I highly recommend checking out SoftLayer, they aren't the cheapest but their connection is extremely good and so is their support/equipement. My company has checking them out as a hosting solution.

    Limestone does not offer any kind of DDOS protection or benefits and if we remove some resource heavy plugins we can definitely be paying less per month or the a similar amount with added protection. From what Ive read about various systems like "Black Lotus" it seems like best option would be to move to a host that caters to servers who experience DDOS attacks

    Server funds are something to consider here, We still have nearly 20 days with limestone networks (We pay in monthly installments), last I spoke with vaq he was not dis-interested by any means but I do agree with the fact that the server should be brought up - and soon.

    If vaquxine does not respond to me today, we'll be switching hosts and we'll make a post prior to doing so with details. He hasnt responded in nearly two days - we're just giving him a chance - we do not have access to the servers console and therefor can't fix it ourselves :/ If he does not respond, we will make the switch and full control will be in more hands than one

    Not one of these civilizations will be pre-building, capitals - I regret to inform you, will be - and made to look like construction sites. We've been waiting for our Event-Team events to come together (They're building right now) before we can have the monks encourage this process - in roleplay, hopefully it works out. Keep fighting the good fight brudda

    Hey there LoTC, As you know, the server has been down quite a bit today and for that we're sorry. I haven't been able to contact Vaquxine today and the FTP information he gave me is insufficient to remedying this problem at this time. Here's what a DDOS looks like from the inside, We'll be switching from "LimeStone-Networks" to different host and ultimately get more protected sometime next month. I hope this fills you in, if you wanna help the server take off your adblocker, enjoy the forums and think about promoting us on other venues ! best wishes !

    Hey there, Trying to keep you guys up to date here's recent happenings, The server has crashed, and or has been DDOS'd - Vaquxine is the only individual who has access to the servers console. I have texted his phone and the DDOS protection has not been purchased due to these limitations. The Fundraiser was absolutely successful and I am holding onto it and waiting for Vaquxine to reply Judging by "Minecraft Server-Owner" skype chat, many of them are facing similar downtimes due to DDoS attacks. thank you for reading !

    Like the OP reads, it was not meant to be malicious, whatsoever - but I believe, above all - a stressful environment makes for stressful outcomes
