Silk touch works. Also, you should try using fortune on your pick if you're hunting for caskets.

Also, the haste bonus should work. Confused why it does not, are you mining in the overworld?

I only dig in minjng worlds. 

I got the Haste 2 buff at Angelic. Now that I'm Illuminated, I haven't gotten any increases to haste. I haven't seen a visible increase in the random drop rates, which I thought would have gone up since I didn't get a haste buff, like one or the other. 

Granted it's me not seeing a visible increase. It could be there and I just not see it. But I know for a fact that I have never seen Crude Peridot, Crude Angelic Eye, ever. I haven't gotten a casket in over 500k exp. 

which is why I was hoping I could get verification or help that they do exist and how to find them, and to know if there's even a point in going for Godsent or Super.

The additional levels in skills past aengulic were intended to be prestige ranks. Meaning, additional goals that didn't give you a massive boost in utility. They are merely minor increases in bonuses. There is no new haste buff for higher levels, you do get more random drops and by extension more chances of getting a casket, but it doesnt increase the drop rate.
