Note: This system is subject to change in the coming future based on feedback, land availability, etc. If you have any feedback, please do send it our way.
Guilds, villages, settlements, etc. can all apply for land by filling out the below application and having the required minas, men, and time active (if applicable). If you're curious as to what tiles/regions are available, you can see the most up-to-date region and tile ownership here (You can also see the map below):Note: Map one covers what tiles are currently claimed by nations and it may not 100% be up to date. Map two covers what regions fall under what tiles. This map IS out of date but the tile/region number reference is still fine.
Guilds plots come in three different sizes, the bigger the plot, the bigger the price. There's also a system in place that allows you to expand your plot size over time. The three sizes and prices are as follows:
70 x 70:
This plot is the same size as a fief plot that nations have access to.
It costs 5,000 minas and does not require anything else besides an active player group.
You can upgrade to a tier 2/100x100 guild plot by supplying 2,000 minas and by being active for at least two weeks.
You can skip the time requirement by paying 12,500 minas outright.
100 x 100:
This plot is slightly bigger than a fief plot, but smaller than a settlement plot.
It costs 15,000 minas and does not require anything else besides an active player group.
You can upgrade to a tier 3/150x150 plot by supplying 3,000 minas and being active for at least four weeks. These four weeks are in addition to the two weeks if you chose to start a tier 1 plot. You can skip the time requirement by paying 17,500 minas outright.
You also get a larger farm plot nearby. On a farm plot, the only thing you may build are stables and food fields.
150 x 150:
This plot is the same size as a nation's settlement plot.
It costs 25,000 minas and does not require anything else besides an active player group.
You also get a larger farm plot nearby. On a farm plot, the only thing you may build are stables and food fields.Your Plot and Nations:
You may have your plot placed in any land that is unclaimed or any currently owned tile permitting you have the permission of that nation's leader. Should the leader grant you a land, you DO NOT have to pay any minas.
If a nation moves into the tile you are currently located in you are not forced to leave. If a nation proves aggressive, the plot may be moved but their build(s) will remain. We are still currently discussing guilds and warclaims and will update this page accordingly when we've hammered out all the information.
Below you will find the charter application. Simply post a new thread in the charter sub-forum with the completed information and you will either be accepted or denied within a day or two.
Independent Charter Application:
What is the name of your guild, village, organization, etc.:
What is the purpose of your guild/village/organization (if sensitive, this can be withheld and then privately shared with whomever is handling the charter):
What plot size are you interested in:
What tile are you interested in:
If your tile is currently owned by a nation, do you have that nation's leader's approval:

As Harrison said, this is just for lag testing purposes. He requested permission to get players together for OOC testing on OOC problems. Nothing will be changed without prior discussions.

So xray is basically allowed?
lol what a joke of a ban time "One month".
Though it would be better if this one month kept stacking the more you get caught(Eventually a permaban).
If you're found to be using x-ray, you get banned for three months. You work with us and return all the money, items, and ore you obtained, then we call it even and drop it down to a month. You make it harder than it has to be (I.E., having to sift through 30 pages of logblock actions, chat, and chest-access) then don't expect any leniency.
What do you gain for banning someone three months instead of one? One month is still a long time. Long enough to ensure it won't happen again. And if it does? 6 months, 1 year+, that's a lot longer than one month. X-ray is still cheating, x-ray is still giving yourself an advantage because you don't want to abide by the same rules as the others, but it's not as malicious as severe harassment, hacking or exploiting to change the outcome of a war or important battle, or duping items with intent.

Will these new rules take priority over past judgements?
Yes. Players will still have to appeal but if it's been over one month they will be unbanned, permitting the appeal is accepted. (Not that it's hard, x-ray bans are mostly about waiting out the time).

07? Or did you enjoy EOC?
I don't have a problem with EOC but it's not the RS I fell in love with. I've grinded out a few 07 pures and a "main" account I've been questing on but I'm gonna take a long break, I've gotten my fill of grinding in the past few months.

Can't say I saw this coming but I will say thanks. Coming back, this staff team was the most well-ran and well put-together of the three I've seen and been involved in. Major props for that.

Will mention this in the GM chat, hopefully get someone to assist. Don't think I can do too much on my own as this is probably some wacky PEX issue.
Might be a few hours since it's pretty early in most timezones, unfortunately.

I can definitely get behind this choice. Grats, Dizzy.

Extremely promising.
Two step auth in-game could be very helpful assuming it works well. I also like the idea of a way to keep people up-to-date on any storylines currently in place. Unless you're in the know, it can be hard to get (and stay) in the lore/storyline loop.
Better/more professions could be very neat. I'd like some additional changes to the whole system too, personally. Less exp required for levels overall would be nice. I can definitely get behind removing requirements for certain things such as fancy stone blocks or different colored wooden furniture/blocks. Hard to comment further without knowing all that will be a part of the profession update but I'm looking forward to more info.
Fixing the x-ray will be great. I can't even be bothered mining currently. It's just such a pain. Glad to hear it's a priority fix.
While I don't PVP, I know a lot of others do, and fixing the swing timers this way should be a fair compromise. Though, it'd be nice if you could somehow balance it in such a way that neither parties (those who prefer older PVP vs newer PVP) have a distinct advantage over each other. That way, it's pure preference.
I like Racial Bonuses that don't affect combat in any way. Especially certain races getting better exp rates in certain skills. I think this could be expanded upon greatly without hurting PVP equality.
Enchanting should definitely be limited down to only level 1 perks. One of the biggest complaints against Nexus professions and enchanting in general (that I've seen and heard) is that you had to grind so much and pvp/wars often came down to who had better funded enchanters/grinders.
No comment on horses but making them more balanced (yet retaining their usefulness, as well as fixing some bugs) sounds good.

During your travels, a rather excited Halfling zips past you and drops a flier in the process. Shrugging, you pick it up and give the leaflet a look-over:
One day only!
Two contestants enter, one contestant leaves a little more wet than the other.
Shogging Helms and Shogging Shovels will be provided and entry is free of charge.
Trophies will be provided to the top three combatants.
Be there and prove your skill as a champion shogger!
RULES:
No pulling a Herbwallow Hop
No using blades (OF COURSE) or sharpened shovels
No looking through an extra hole in your pumpkin
OOC Below:
Hey guys! Doing a spur-of-the-moment event in the Halfling village: A shogging tournament! For those of you that don't know, shogging is where two people stand on logs and attempt to knock each-other off. You cannot jump off your log and if both of you fall in, you retry. The player that falls off first loses and is knocked out of the tournament while the winner advances. To make it more difficult, both combatants wear a pumpkin on their head and are only allowed a wooden shovel. The top three players will receive a trophy!
The only rules are:
1. No jumping off your log
2. No using F5
3. No hacks, obviously.
We'll be starting an hour and 45 minutes from the time of this post, or at 4:30 PM EST.
https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Shogging
A temporary fast travel has been added to the Malin island docks that take you directly to the Halfling village. This will be removed after the tournament ends and everyone heads home. You can follow the trail of signs from the spawn to the boat.
If you wish to sign up, visit the orange-white tent and you'll be supplied with your official helmet and shovel. We'll begin around 4:30~5ish, depending on how many are around.

I remember once I was trying to hit somebody in Sutica, and I modreq'd it and Ever came by and he said to me "hrm... We are working on it." and then afk'd for like 5 minutes and tp'd away.
Not entirely untrue. At first we thought the issue was with the region flags. That's generally the go-to when some regions are behaving oddly while the rest aren't.

As you can see, the flags (pvp - allow) are as they should be. Pretty sure at this point it's an issue with the world/map/shard thing and I've messaged the tech people to see what they can do about it.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this. Always willing to give things a shot but I am not very happy about coders having executive decisions on what happens on the server. There's nothing wrong with being over-protective of your work, of your baby, even, but there needs to be a higher-up dictating what needs to be done for the server. What the server needs, not what the coder(s) want to do. This is an outside-looking-in comment, I obviously don't know all the inner workings.

Why? Why would you enable hostile mob spawns? Why would you make a hunting profession? That isn't RP thats bouncing around in a circle and clicking. How the **** do you expect people to RP out side of a walled in city at night? As soon as it falls their just going to get hounded by zombies which will make it impossible to type any emotes. Jesus Christ a ******* hunting profession will take all the possible complexity and detail out of it and just turn it into running at mobs while clicking, my inner redneck is displeased with this.
I feel like that's kind of unfair. You can de-value every part of the server, sans roleplay, down to random clicking. Lumberjacking? Nope, just holding down your mouse button under a floating tree. Mining? Just strip-mining a giant 5000x5000 cube. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be caught out in the middle of the wilderness, at night, and unprepared.
So long as it's handled properly (that is, mobs don't spawn right on top of you are you're travelling and developed/well-lit areas are safe) then I think it'd be a fine addition back to the server.

I feel like making a ban report wouldn't be worth anything and would stir up more trouble. While I am annoyed, at least one of the people involved I knew and respected as a good roleplayer most of the time.
Well, as always, if the trouble persists, don't be afraid to make a report or contact a mod. Sometimes all you really need to do is message someone and be like: "dude, quit ******* around please, you're making this less fun for myself and other people here".
