  1. ((There is a link at the bottom, this post is more to raise awareness around the Human lands.))
  2. ((This application is a personal one made by Tamarien, it would not be right if he just so happened to have the exact same application as Polgraths one. Also please remain in character on this thread, thank you.))
  3. Tamarien Arkeneas strides forth into Dawn's Bakery, looking at the many humans that wander under its roof. One would have to wonder what purpose an elf such as himself would serve roaming the streets of Salvus, as it was quite odd to find one in this beautiful city, even more so it was quite odd that he was a mali'aheral! He chuckles a bit, looking to the warm smiles of all the cheerful citizens of the Bakery, before moving over to the corner that seems most surrounded. Many valah give him strange looks, thinking of the oddity of the elf, before he chuckles a bit as he places a parchment of paper onto the wall. Greetings fellow travelers! It is with great pride that I extend an offering hand towards anyone in Salvus to join the ranks of the Arcane Delvers! We come in great need of Mageshields, fearsome warriors, archers and all sorts of battle-born fighters that can perform the duties that you cannot find in such a mage. The Mageshields stand for honorable means, protecting the mages of the Arcane Delvers at all means necessary. We are in dire need, as our numbers have fallen below average as of late conflict. So we take it upon you, to make the decision to follow our ways! A small nail is indented at the top of the parchment, going through to attach it to the wall. Tamarien continues to chuckle, a warm smile on his face. He takes a brief glimpse around, noticing that majority of the people in the bakery are still oddly staring at him, before he takes out yet another parchment, or so I would say parchments, and begins to place them under the large notice. To all ye' who wish to become a Mageshield! It is with pleasure that we ask you to fill out the following form. Ones name (Character Name): Real name (Minecraft Name): Race: Do you seek adventure, knowledge or companionship? Do you solemnly swear to put your life upon the line to protect your Arcane Brethren? Your combat skills: Tamarien takes one last glance around the room as now everybody is staring at him. He looks at them solemnly before he bursts out into a matter of laughter. As he walks out the door his voice can be heard wandering off with him. "Well, shall you begin reading?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ((Link to the actual thread: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/86899-the-arcane-delvers/))
  4. Tamarien strides into the library of Lin'everal, his attention being immediately directed to the notice. His eyes scour down it, reading each and every word of the many following lines. Tamarien lets out a grunt, a sound you do not hear much from a mali'aheral, but it does so rarely happen. He slides his slender hands down to the pockets of his robes, before pulling out his ink and quill. A quiet brushing sound is heard when the cap of his ink bottle is twisted off. A slight dip of the quill into the ink, and the writing begins. "I, Tamarien Arkeneas, follow you and believe it is deemed appropriate for the removal of this mans position in Lin'everal. If I could make one wish, it would be that he also be removed from our society and deemed impure upon his actions." Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya ~Tamarien Arkeneas
  5. Tamarien sits by idly minding his own business, watching over the power-hungry mali'aheral fill heads with political rambles. He doesn't seem to speak up, he just shows to be in a mindless blank, fiddling his fingers about one and other. There is no focus on the candidates that are moving up, but for a brief moment he seems to pay attention to his mentor, Kalenz Uradir, but he strays from it rather quickly. A few quiet mutters come from his mouth, but they are inaudible to the other mali'aheral standing around him. "Politics, bah. They make things more difficult than one would like to think." He continues to fumble about with his hands, seemingly more focused on him than the democratic speeches that surround him. His ears twitch a little every now and then, but nobody notices. Tamarien sits there, it is as if he is not even there, not a head turns to him out of curiosity, not even for a second. He silently mimics the mali as they step up to the notice. "As an act of commitment towards my fellow mali'aheral, I want all of the power that I can take from you to make me the strongest elf in this city, and soon all of Anthos. No valah would stand up to a big, tough politic such as I." If one were to be listening to him babble on, you would question his sanity. He shows no sign of jealousy, nor of arrogance, just of frustration. Why would they keep going over the same things many times again, he sees no point towards this. He hears one final speech before standing up, directing his voice across the room rather than just to himself. "For malin's sake hurry up and vote already. Do us all a favour!" He moves back down into his seat, the all the mali stare at him awkwardly for a bit, their eyes flickering and their mouths closed. Tamarien moves his gaze around the room, looking to all of the subjects staring onto him, before he finally lets out a smile. The tone on his face does not look fake, although one would assume it is, before letting out one word in a joyful tone. "Thankyou."
  6. ((This is very interesting, it will make for a fine antagonist.))
  7. Why can't people just roleplay normally, without the abuse of glitches, etc.
  8. Name: Tamarien Arkeneas Age: 208 Vote: Haelun'or, I fight for the pride of the mali'aheral.
  9. ((Looks very interesting, I hope that it works out for you.))
  10. Yet another note is placed beneath the stockpile of notes that is taking up the whole noticeboard. "You have been blinded by ignorance. The High Council is corrupt, the Sentinels have been twisted. You call this war? But nay, tis' is liberation. We are here to restore Malinor, and if tis' is not done, then ye' shall find war on your hands. We are here to help, but you continue to dig your hole, deeper and deeper, the ropes that hold you shall not last forever." The not is signed at the bottom. ~Tamarien Arkeneas
  11. Tamarien explores the vast amount of books that are held in the library of the Arcane Delvers. Then finally he finds it! A novel that he had been reading for the past couple days. He was quite intrigued by the book, it was well written and contained words that showed intelligence. He takes the book from the shelf, placing it down on the table behind him before taking his seat. He coughs a little to clear his throat, before raising his voice as he begins to read, "Chapter 31.."
  12. I think we need to bring back an antagonist like in Aegis. That would be amazing, don't know if you class that as an event though but its food for thought.
  13. Tamarien later comes back to see the notes written beneath the previous ones. "I was aligned with the Delvers before the conflict with Malinor begun. We are no mercenaries, though you seem to shun us with this name. You bring filth of to the elvish name with your ways, Malin looks down on you this day. ~Tamarien"
  14. The mali continue to push us out. I be one of them, yet they still do not listen. Their leaders are corrupt, tainted in their ways of lies and subterfuge. We tried to help, but you did not want it, instead you wanted to be lead to damnation where there is no redemption. War was the only choice we had left. The sentinels, your 'protectors' try to kill us when we try to negotiate the situation diplomatically. You clearly do not want a guiding hand, so we have given you a forceful one. ~Tamarien Arkeneas, former citizen of Malinor
  15. The battle is over, we had lost. But did we achieve anything? Was it all worth it? Tamarien cannot comprehend what was accomplished in the battle, let alone his own thoughts on it. He twists his head over to what sits in the middle of the plains, it would be nothing more then a petty tree. The silent although quite loud whistling sound emanates from his mouth, flowing throughout the plains. A small dove comes swooping down out of the tree, before gracefully perching on his shoulder and cuddling up to his cheek. He begins to let out a smile, the only one you would find in such a conversation, following by his voice being raised in quite a cheerful tone, "Yes friend, I have missed you too. Tis' been quite a while since I have asked a favor of you." One could only wonder who he was talking to, perhaps himself, perhaps to no one, or perhaps, just perhaps, he may have been adressing the bird. The elegant chirping sound comes from the dove's beak as Tamarien gently strokes his finger across its chest. But the somber tone returns as Tamarien remembers why he summoned this bird for, "I need you to take this letter for me. Tis' to an old friend, one that is like a son to me. I trust nobody more to carry this letter, tis' important to be sent to his hands, that is why I cannot just give it to some ordinary bird." He reaches into his robes, shuffling around, searching for something. It is not long before a sealed letter is removed from his robes. I could not tell you what is written in this letter, for I would not know myself. It is only Tamarien who knows of what is written, and the following readers of it. "Now fly my old friend, fly into the light of day." The dove drops off of his shoulder, gripping the letter with its razor sharp claws. If you were to say that no ordinary dove could carry a note like that, well yes I suppose that is true, though this is no ordinary dove, or perhaps it may not even be a dove at all. Nobody knows if that letter ever made it to its destination, nor if the receiver even still lives. But there is one things we do know, just one. The contents within the letter are not for our eyes to read, but if you look carefully, on the outside of the letter, it says in dark black inc, "To Aulaeum".
