This seems like a great idea. Even as an older player who has left and returned to LotC a few times, knowing who to PM to find settlements, I would have loved to have a resource like this in the past.

Sarai smacks her sword against her yet unbloodied chestplate. The ringing clang fills the air, adding to the din of the Brotherhood's warcries. "Iron from ice!" she shouts in unison with her brothers. Her voice quivers slightly with the last word. She feels secure in her strength and holds no fear for the coming battle, but her excitement makes her heart feel like it will pound right out of her chest. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Albrecht Barukh Current Age: 38 Race: Human Sub-race (if any): Notherner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Albrecht was born and raised in the heart of Oren. His father having been a knight, he was put into training as a page and later a squire when he was a boy. Though his training focused on chivalry and combat, he'd always felt a closer connection to the church than to the military, often spending late nights studying scripture and learning the ways of priests when the day's work was done. Despite this fixation, his training took precedence over his scholarly pursuits, and Albrecht held to these duties until being knighted as a young adult. After a few years, his interest in religion and seeking knowledge only grew stronger, eventually pushing him to forsake the honor of his family name in favor of a life of piety and discipline. Albrecht joined the clergy, later becoming a chaplain and ministering to the defenders of House Basileus. It was on the battlefield that he met the bannerman, Samuel Buailteoir. He shared Albrecht's passion for religion, though Samuel was perhaps more rash when it came to dealing with heretics. During their time serving together, the two became steadfast friends, eventually coming to plan the formation of an order of knights which would serve the church and the High Pontiff directly, working to protect the true faith of Oren and spread word of its teachings. Ambitions for the Future: Albrecht wishes to spread the faith of the Creator, and cleanse the land of heretics who would seek to destroy the Church. He seeks to carry out the will of his god, the High Pontiff, and the Emporer, Horen the Divine. Personality: Albrecht tends to keep a soft spoken, approachable air, saving his most passionate outbursts for his sermons. Despite feeling that he is closer to the Creator and His teachings than most, he does not act as though he holds rank over others. MC name: AnonymousMonster Name: Tantalus Sikien Race: Dark Elf Biography (At LEAST a sizable paragraph.): Tantalus was born in Aegis, merely a few decades before its people were driven out be the Undead. Though he was born in Malinor, his parents spent much time in human lands as merchants. This immersed him and his brother in the culture of Oren from a young age, and he felt a great sense of loss when the kingdom became devided. The move to Asulon seperated him from his family prematurely, and with Oren devided and his own people seeming unusually foriegn to him, he began to travel, taking courier jobs to make the money he needed to survive. His work was honest and quick for the most part, though occasionally he would be hired for more questionable jobs. In the case that he knew he was transporting dirty goods even stolen money, he had no qualms about skimming some off the top to put to a more righteous use. His father had always taught him that the penalty for evil deeds was being cursed to work for riches only to have them stolen from you, and Tantalus counted himself as an agent of karma. After many years of this, he had eventually found a mate and made enough money and "bonuses" to buy a nice home and settle down somewhere. It was in that house that after years of trying, they finally had a son, Ibar'onn. However, not more than a few years later, circumstance thrust Tantalus from his home again, forcing him and his family to Anthos. Since then, many events have shaken his life. He has done things he isn't proud of, and tragedy has taken his family from him a second time. He seeks stability, and time to re-instill within himself the morals he has broken, and he hopes to do this among the men of Oren, and the Chapter of the Lions. Do you have a VA? For which evils?: Yes, but only for minor evils 1a and 4b, for now. Why do you wish to join the Chapter?: Tantalus needs to find a good influence straighten out his life again, and expects that the Lions will offer him a strict environment in which to practice self discipline. Any past experience in Oren's military?: None to speak of. Skills and Abilities?: Tantalus was taught swordplay from a young age, though his training focused more on defending and disarming than dispatching. He was taught the values of mercy and that murder was the greatest transgression against the gods that one could commit as a child, and thus was not very well educated on lethal techniques. He is willing to learn this aspect of combat, but will still avoid ending a life if he can possibly take them prisoner instead. He has a basic understanding of archery, but would need to train and hone his skills for it to be useful in battle. Having traveled a lot for his work, and living a good portion of his life in the wilds, he is also skilled in fishing, felling trees, and other self-reliance skills, as well as remaining unseen if he needs to. Criminal record?: No crime that Tantalus has committed has ever been reported to proper authorities. What do you think the most valuable trait to have is?: Being a reliable ally. Keziah wishes to have a safe haven for her large adoptive family to live and raise successive generations without fear of eviction as they have had to face so often in the past. The town itself will be governed by a council made of the elders of the House Thyone, united under a singular leader to make executive decisions. Above this, Ebonfire will be under Renatus rule. Keziah stared at the table in front of her, her left hand clutching an uncorked bottle of wine. Drinking again. She thought she'd quit that, but with Kvothe running around Aeriel-knows-where, Lucas being particularly aloof, and the constant threat of conflict within the House, it proved to be one of the few things holding her back from the brink of insanity. She took another sip from the bottle with a shudder, glancing up at the sound of Kilopo's concerned call. She uttered a drawn out sigh before yelling in reply. "What's wrong now?" Monk's Name Dáithí Lom'khel Their Personality Dáithí is shrewd and reserved in conversation, though he proves to be somewhat of an exhibitionist in his actions. In his opinion, incisions are to be made with the sharpest of blades and the slightest flick of the wrist; stitches and bandages are to be employed with grace and exactitude. He secretly takes immense pride in displaying, and even flaunting such skills, and enjoys working in front of an audience. Dáithí has a very neutral stance on morality and killing, and cares little about heroes, bandits, and whom kills whom. His passion is understanding the marvelous workings of living beings. He applauds those who inflict wounds with precision and style; those who achieve their goals (be it torture, death, etc.) with efficiency and skill. He looks upon those who would hack away blindly at another thing with great distaste. Despite his fascination with death and killings, Dáithí himself would never intentionally kill another person for any reason. Living bodies are significantly more interesting than lifeless ones, and can teach much more to anyone willing to learn. If avoidable, he also prefers not to use magic to heal others, but to do things the old fashion way with stitches and bandaging. This is not because Dáithí has any aversion to magic, but rather he is intrigued nearly to the point of obsession with the natural processes of living bodies and their limits. When he is not waiting at the temple for the broken and [currently] deceased to be delivered into his capable hands, Dáithí can often be found guiding the lost around Asulon as a product of his endeavors to study undamaged anatomy in motion. Dáithí scrutinized the man over for a moment, noting his features to be more robust than that of an elf, but lacking the stoutness of dwarves. A reply to the sign is scrawled in charcoal. Perhaps the House Thyone are pathetic by assassin standards because they are, in fact, not assassins, nor do they claim to be. I implore any reading this to ignore the babbling of this confused warmonger. He writes his complaints in the blood of innocents, rather than taking his problems up with their source. Is this not proof enough of the coward's folly?

You don’t know why they are here. What do you do? "I would place a hand on my sword hilt and ask them what their buisness in Normandor was. Should they act threateningly, I would call for backup, unsheathe my sword, and begin dispatching them." Where do you wish to progress in the Guard? "I was once of very high standing in the New Alstion Guard- General of their forces. I seek to prove myself worthy of such rank once again." After a quick glance at the pages of the book, running through the words of the oath in her head, Keziah looked up and held the Sentinel's gaze with her own. Raising her right hand, she recited the oath back to him. "I swear to abide by all the rules of Normandor and the Kingdom of Malinor. I swear to uphold the peace, justice and sanctity of the Elder Tree. I swear not to abuse my powers, to assist my brothers in arms and to conduct myself professionally. I swear to follow the chain of command and strive to prove myself to them. As brothers in arms we strive to ensure the security and prosperity of our city. Harbingers of death to all who would oppose Her, paragons of justice to all who defy Her, protector of Her sanctity." She ended with a neat salute and in a graceful, fluid motion plucked the quill from the table and signed her name into the book using her clean, utilitarian script.
