This seems like a great idea. Even as an older player who has left and returned to LotC a few times, knowing who to PM to find settlements, I would have loved to have a resource like this in the past.

Sarai smacks her sword against her yet unbloodied chestplate. The ringing clang fills the air, adding to the din of the Brotherhood's warcries. What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I've been roleplaying for about 5 years across two forum RPs, three MineCraft servers, and a few chat-based RPs. I write in my spare time, have roleplayed here since 2011, and like to think I know my way around LotC. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Albrecht Barukh Current Age: 38 Race: Human Sub-race (if any): Notherner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Albrecht was born and raised in the heart of Oren. His father having been a knight, he was put into training as a page and later a squire when he was a boy. Though his training focused on chivalry and combat, he'd always felt a closer connection to the church than to the military, often spending late nights studying scripture and learning the ways of priests when the day's work was done. Despite this fixation, his training took precedence over his scholarly pursuits, and Albrecht held to these duties until being knighted as a young adult. After a few years, his interest in religion and seeking knowledge only grew stronger, eventually pushing him to forsake the honor of his family name in favor of a life of piety and discipline. Albrecht joined the clergy, later becoming a chaplain and ministering to the defenders of House Basileus. It was on the battlefield that he met the bannerman, Samuel Buailteoir. He shared Albrecht's passion for religion, though Samuel was perhaps more rash when it came to dealing with heretics. During their time serving together, the two became steadfast friends, eventually coming to plan the formation of an order of knights which would serve the church and the High Pontiff directly, working to protect the true faith of Oren and spread word of its teachings. Ambitions for the Future: Albrecht wishes to spread the faith of the Creator, and cleanse the land of heretics who would seek to destroy the Church. He seeks to carry out the will of his god, the High Pontiff, and the Emporer, Horen the Divine. Personality: Albrecht tends to keep a soft spoken, approachable air, saving his most passionate outbursts for his sermons. Despite feeling that he is closer to the Creator and His teachings than most, he does not act as though he holds rank over others. He can, however, be quite strong and stubborn in his beliefs, to the point of closed-mindedness, and prejudice against those who do not see the light of his religion. He refuses to associate with any who believe in "false gods" and will be quite adamant about showing them the true way. MC name: AnonymousMonster Name: Tantalus Sikien Race: Dark Elf Biography (At LEAST a sizable paragraph.): Tantalus was born in Aegis, merely a few decades before its people were driven out be the Undead. Though he was born in Malinor, his parents spent much time in human lands as merchants. This immersed him and his brother in the culture of Oren from a young age, and he felt a great sense of loss when the kingdom became devided. The move to Asulon seperated him from his family prematurely, and with Oren devided and his own people seeming unusually foriegn to him, he began to travel, taking courier jobs to make the money he needed to survive. His work was honest and quick for the most part, though occasionally he would be hired for more questionable jobs. In the case that he knew he was transporting dirty goods even stolen money, he had no qualms about skimming some off the top to put to a more righteous use. His father had always taught him that the penalty for evil deeds was being cursed to work for riches only to have them stolen from you, and Tantalus counted himself as an agent of karma. After many years of this, he had eventually found a mate and made enough money and "bonuses" to buy a nice home and settle down somewhere. It was in that house that after years of trying, they finally had a son, Ibar'onn. However, not more than a few years later, circumstance thrust Tantalus from his home again, forcing him and his family to Anthos. Since then, many events have shaken his life. He has done things he isn't proud of, and tragedy has taken his family from him a second time. He seeks stability, and time to re-instill within himself the morals he has broken, and he hopes to do this among the men of Oren, and the Chapter of the Lions. Do you have a VA? For which evils?: Yes, but only for minor evils 1a and 4b, for now. Why do you wish to join the Chapter?: Tantalus needs to find a good influence straighten out his life again, and expects that the Lions will offer him a strict environment in which to practice self discipline. Any past experience in Oren's military?: None to speak of. Skills and Abilities?: Tantalus was taught swordplay from a young age, though his training focused more on defending and disarming than dispatching. He was taught the values of mercy and that murder was the greatest transgression against the gods that one could commit as a child, and thus was not very well educated on lethal techniques. He is willing to learn this aspect of combat, but will still avoid ending a life if he can possibly take them prisoner instead. He has a basic understanding of archery, but would need to train and hone his skills for it to be useful in battle. Having traveled a lot for his work, and living a good portion of his life in the wilds, he is also skilled in fishing, felling trees, and other self-reliance skills, as well as remaining unseen if he needs to. Criminal record?: No crime that Tantalus has committed has ever been reported to proper authorities. What do you think the most valuable trait to have is?: Being a reliable ally. One who keeps their word and can be trusted to have their comrade's back if things get heated. Are you applying as a footman or squire? Keziah wishes to have a safe haven for her large adoptive family to live and raise successive generations without fear of eviction as they have had to face so often in the past. What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time? The town itself will be governed by a council made of the elders of the House Thyone, united under a singular leader to make executive decisions. Above this, Ebonfire will be under Renatus rule. What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.): The majority of residents will be members of House Thyone, an adoptive family of mixed race and backgrounds.
