What do you think are the top five things, that are most important in an application and why?
(In order of most important)
1. The biography. Over 95% of applications are denied for the biography for (being)
- too short
-plagiarized
-needs to be more in-depth
-Doesn't fit the lore
-Unrealistic/unoriginal
Biography need to be AT THE MINIMUM A paragraph/ 8 sentences. The number of sentences and how in-depth determine if it's acceptable or not.
2.Grasp of the english language- Being how it says English Language, it means you to be able to speak/type correctly, Capitalize correctly, and stay on topic of what you're talking about.
3. What is Roleplay; Define it in your OWN words- Being how "creative" people are, they can simply copy someone else's, or google it. Like it says, in their OWN words. For good measure, it shouldn't be less than 2 sentences.
4. Does your character have any Special abilities?
THIS is where applications that have excellent biographies throw them off the wagon. Players can't simply "Get hit, goes into a super rampage destroying everything in his path" and expect to get accepted. This is powergaming, which you can get banned for doing this on the server. Things shouldn't get too out of hand on the "special abilities".
5. Application style-
Obviously, an application with barely any of the application requirements won't get anywhere. Also, applications that are clustered that make it hard to read make your head hurt and the temptation to slam your head against the wall. Applications need to be neat, clear and little showy colors. Applications shouldn't have 10 different colors just to answer what timezone you have!
Thanks, I hope this is pretty good.
