First and foremost, I would like to apologize for my inactivity on the server. I have been busy lately with numerous real life duties (an 8 – 5 job, family) that I find myself with very little time for much else. Such is why I had entrusted the tower to Ever’s care for the time being. Although I have made it a point to log in every now and again for the sole purpose of making sure that the tower and the surrounding grounds are all well and good. I would also like to apologize for my late post. My schedule does not leave me with as much free time as I would like. The Wildewyns have been residents of the tower since a few weeks into Asulon’s release. It has since then become such a vital part of my roleplaying experience in Lord of the Craft. Upon reaching the shores of Asulon, Lady Luna Wildewyn and her two young children wandered long and far until stumbling upon the decrepit tower deep in the woods of Mallowlyn that would become their beloved home. Having had numerous experiences with the outside world that had drained her physically and emotionally, Lady Luna had decided that it was best for her and her two bundles of job to withdraw from the world, secluding themselves within the depths of Mallowlyn. While the members of the family did indeed embark on a few trips into the outside world, they did so in relative secrecy, making sure to enter and leave their home in secret as best as they could. For many years, the Wildewyn family lived in the tower and the surrounding woods in relative peace, Lady Luna passing some years later. Her two children, now grown, set up a little memorial shrine for their dearest mother on the tower’s grounds. They have since continued to live in the tower in peace and in secret. The “Witch” does not exist save in the fairytales and campfire stories of the neighboring Nawari gypsies, fellow residents of ancient Mallowlyn wood. The “Witch” is little more than a rumor, a figure existing only in the tales told by the mysterious gypsies to tired and famished travelers seeking comfort from the frigid night winds in the pleasant glow and warmth of flickering campfires. Which brings me to my next point; the tower’s mystery and the fable of the “Witch of Mallo” give the woods of Mallowlyn an identity that distinguishes it from the rest of Asulon’s forests, jungles and other various wooded areas. The mystery is an integral part of the Mallowlyn lore and a precious backdrop for many roleplay events/scenarios. The unspoiled mystique of the region and the speculations as to what could possibly be inside of such an ancient structure fuel the imaginations of players; hopefully enhancing their respective roleplay experiences at least a small bit. While you have mentioned that you have no intention of altering the exterior of the tower, you are merely speaking of the physical structure itself. The “mystery” that I am referring to is something more intangible, but just as important as the tower itself. I’m afraid opening its doors and transforming it into some place of utility will only serve to kill what feelings of mystery and mystique the place still possesses. Ever requested that I add this for him and so I shall: The secret of the tower has now, for the most part, been spoiled since you stood so unwavering in your "war" claim. As you have read above, there really isn't a witch, but I did have a nice bit of lore brainstormed that would allow such a character to exist while still keeping within past roleplay's parameters. I implore that you drop the claim. If you do not, I will still attempt to get this lore passed so that the tower may have a fitting end before it's wrenched away to be given to copypaste town #423. - - Ever As for your reasons for wanting this tower, I’m afraid I’m a tad bit confused. You cite a few different reasons for desiring this structure so far. Kindly allow me to address them. You first mentioned wanting the tower for the purpose of serving as a watchtower for your village. Ever (and a few other people) then pointed out that the tower would serve as a poor watchtower for you and your men because of the numerous redwood trees obscuring the view. You then changed your intentions stating that your plan is to take the tower not for its use as a watchtower but for a series/network of tunnels/passageways meant for escape. While that is a fine idea, I’m afraid the plot itself does not extend wide enough or deep enough to allow for the construction or connection of said tunnels. You are free to inspect the area in Out-of-Character status if you have any doubts. As for your third reason of believing the witch to be evil and wanting her out, comments are below. I don’t understand how a village from contested lands can lay claim to property on Cloud Temple lands. As you will need the monk’s permission for the attack, I’m finding it difficult to believe that they would advocate the killing of the tower’s residents who have been living in the region in relative peace. While you may say that your aim is to “cleanse the tower of the evil witch,” do you have solid, undeniable proof that an actual witch resides in the tower? What happens then when you and your army men see the residents of the tower for what they truly are, just an innocent elven family of two who have been living peaceful and quiet lives? This does feel quite like bullying. This is not comparable to settlements, towns or cities being lost. This is a single structure in what was once an obscure part of the woods, a personal home. How could a single tower hope to stand any fair chance of defending itself against an entire village? This just feels awfully one-sided. I feel your group is out to take my home simply because you feel that you can. All in all, this whole affair distresses me greatly.

Surrounded by dark trees and the glowing eyes of the starving predators, I would have surely perished had I not been cared for by a kind wolf; to this day, her kindness is still something I do not understand. Mother fed and warmed me as she did her own pups. When Mother would set out to hunt, my siblings and I would find comfort from the bitter cold in each others' warmth. Years passed and the day finally came when we were old and capable enough to go our separate ways. While Mother and my siblings returned to the Western Woods, I continued to roam the lands of the North, honing my skills in the hunt even further.
