Given (RP) Name: Eternis Ame'onn ((Skype name: ChaseSimba)) True (MC) Name: luckmor Race: Wood Elf Authentic Magic User: No, though I seek to learn hydromancy. Do ye seek adventure, knowledge, and companionship?: Adventure is my lifeblood, knowledge is my soul, and companionship is my reason to live. Chosen Profession: If I may, then as an acolyte, else a Pathfinder, Hand, or Ward. Combat Skills: Competent with the blade, Skilled with the bow, moderate unarmed combat training. Short Response: 1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design; strange sounds and lights emanate from within. While out on his wanderings, the soft whispering of the wind brings an unusual set of noises, sounds that Eternis is unfamiliar with. Walking towards the source of this noise, Eternis comes across a ruin lit with eldritch lights. Intensely curious, Eternis searches for as many entrances and/or exits as he can, then marks them. Entering within five paces of each, checking for traps and marking points of interest, Eternis then returns immediately to his nearest superior, marking his trail if required. 2.) While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artefact". Eternis walks up to the two men, a mug of the most expensive drink at the bar in each hand. Plonking the alcohol down on the table, one in front of each. Eternis begins to speak: "Hello there. i couldn't help but overhear part of your conversation. Now, I represent an organisation interested in the study of ancient artefacts and magic, and we would pay handsomely for the opportunity to do so on particularly powerful examples of such. Now, don't despair, we can arrange for only a temporary study of the artefact, although there's less money in it for you in that case, but before we go any further, I must warn you that we'll need evidence that the object firstly, contains magical properties, and secondly, behaves as you describe it to. Your thoughts?" Eternis sits back, waiting for a reply from the men. 3.) Walking along the Anthos highway, you come across a masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a necromancer. Eternis runs swiftly to the masked man's side, his hands forming a placating gesture as he does so. "Sir, while I understand the urgency required in rooting out evil wherever possible, I must insist that you listen to me first!" Confused, the masked man turns on Eternis, "What do you mean a proper court?!" Eternis' response bursts forth, "First, what if he is using this power for good? I know that there is a long history of people going against that, but how can you guarantee that this man is as evil as his predecessors? Otherwise, you're removing an asset to the forces of benevolence from this world!" Forestalling the masked man's next comment, Eternis continues. "Second, if he is indeed an evil necromancer, and you kill him now, what's to stop him from reviving from the magic he or perhaps an associate of his might use? Third, and to some extent most importantly, what evidence have you that he's a necromancer at all, let alone one of malevolent nature?! Should he in fact be innocent, then you would have killed a simple traveller for nothing!" Eternis waits expectantly, and nervously, for the masked man's response.

The Drug Trade: Sugar: In it's pure form, sugar is an addictive drug for elves, dulling the senses and giving an intriguing sense of intense calm. Once the sugar wears off, the returned senses feel abnormal (light too bright, sounds too loud, smells too strong) enough that prolonged use can lead to madness. Redstone: In it's powdered form, Redstone dulls the pain receptors in an orc's body, meaning he both feels less pain, and increased endurance for the duration. Once the redstone wears off, the injuries the orc inflicted upon himself causes aches and pains enough to slow and distract the orc. These effects last for one month, the redstone dust extending the time the internal injuries take to heal. If usage of the dust continues, then the user damages their muscles enough that they are permanently crippled in at least 1 limb. Glowstone dust: This strange dust, when introduced to the human nervous system via the nasal pasages, induces the feeling of weightlessness and speed, as well as enhancing the senses. Once the dust wears off, the senses feel abnormally dull. Prolonged usage of the dust causes a sensory overload that temporarily impaires or blocks one of the senses. If the addict continues in his or her usage, even in extreme moderation, the effect becomes permanent, and cannot be removed or improved by magic without damaging the brain. Gunpowder: Gunpowder, while lethal to the other races, contains minerals required for the dwarven immune system. Under normal circumstances, the food the dwarves ate, made from mountain plants that naturally absorbed these minerals, would be more than adequate for their needs. However, due to the lack of these minerals in plains-, moor-, and forest-grown plants have made it a nessecity for dwarves to import this powder. One dwarf discovered that over-dosing themselves with these nutrients causes an improvement in the reflexes, which led to a sudden onrush in purchases. A few months later, the dwarf started having intense couging fits. Three days later, he was pronounced dead due to an auto-immune disease. Overdoses in these minerals are now known to cause the immune system to overwork, and overreact to all perceived threats, leading to medical problems, while strengthening the ligaments which increases reflex speed. Overdoses are generally either self-induced by excitement-seeking dwarves, or induced by others as an attempt to poison. Even in doses below this limit, the poweder has been known to cause liver and kidney trouble, meaning that the dwarf is more susceptible to poisons and alcohol. If any dwarf feels a pain directly above the groinal region, they should consult a doctor immediately for a full check-up.

... By the way, I don't really don't know how the guild creation system works. I know that the lore has to be reviewed and accepted, but I don't know quite what that means. Who has the authority to accept this lore, and where does it go from there?

The Coro Pupillam Is Now Hireing
Eternis replied to Cereidon (Tetsuzaru)'s topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
My name is Eternis. I am a 227 year old elf, and I used to be a Warden back on Aegis. I have apprehended a few criminals, but have never been a criminal myself, nor have I been a witness to a crime. I am an expert excavator (>70), an acceptable farmer (20-ish), and an average lumberjack (35-ish). I own my own home, but it's still in construction. A Partus Puer at the Normandor dock would be my preferred occupation, as my home is most easily reached by sea. I'd be a capable worker, and I'll give notice before ending my term. Out-of-Character Skin: You've seen it. Lord of the craft application: Can't find it anymore Mincraft character name: Eternis Ban history: None. Character place of birth Aegis or Asulon: Small village somewhere in the elven territories. How many hours a week and what days: It varies. I live in Australia, so arranging times may be problematic, and if something I'm hoping for happens, I'll be leaving your employment. However, I will be giving you three IRL days notice should it come to pass. -
The Brothers of Niobe *On the journey across the sea, an elf was swept overboard during a storm. He sank metres below the surface, bubbles of air fleeing before his eyes. And then, the water spirit Lady Niobe came.* The Brotherhood was formed by that elf. Told that something was coming, and that it would crush the entire world beneath it's heel, he tried to convince people of their plight, but like all doomsayers, he was rejected, and called a fool. Reasoning that this would be the only reaction to him, should he continue on his current path, he decided to create the Brotherhood. ((OOC: This would be a guild open to everyone, devoted to helping people. The Spoiler text is what would be the post for the guild. If I've gone about this the wrong way, but you think it's a good idea, or you think it's a horrible idea, then please delete this thread. Either way, or if you think the idea needs tweaking, please message me.)) Other information The Brotherhood does not discriminate, even to members of other orders or guilds. Any person, who is willing to join, can join.

Patch 2.1 | Magic?! (Also Soulstones).
Eternis replied to Deleted User 009's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Not just necromancers, your average power-hungry maniacs as well! Oh, and while I'm on this topic, I'd be glad to do anything I can to help set up a mages guild, though only having being on the server for a few months, I can't really say I'd be of too much use. -
I like Denari, as posted above by Florisher. It has a great ring to it, and some great lore could be brought up around it (say, the largest goldmine in this area was originally the den of an ancient being named Ariel or something). Also, while I loved the name "Minas", I do believe that there should be a representative change in the currency to go with the traveling to the new land.

ALL ABOUT THE WARDENS OF MALINOR (ELVEN MILITARY)
Eternis replied to TheWardens's topic in Inactive Guilds
Hey, the wardens have recently changed all the passwords. Could someone message me them? -Warden_I_Eternis Another thing, I'd like to discuss the warden policy with an officer as there are some holes that I'd like to straighten out. Eternis. -
OOC: Actually, if the mods could create (tele)ports near ships, it would give a really good feel, with different ships transporting you to different port locations, and seedy-looking ships transporting you a little while away.
