  1. You need to fill out an application, like everyone else. Here's a link to the form, post your application in a new topic once you've filled it in: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/1035-read-first-application-form/
  2. *Lokria mutters to herself* "Are'dere 'alfiez fur eetin'? Iv nuh, den dis nub'hosh bahr. Dub'lat be'ah 'alfie-luvver?" *she stomps off angrily*
  3. Hah! Ib'be da pinkskins dat be un-smart-illible! Ebbyfing lat blah cawn'nub'be gruk'ered. 'Toopid pinkskinz... An'da treeuggers be matz'buddehz becuz dey dun'flattun da nay-toore lyke da filthy oomies an' greedeh dorfz.
  4. I love my pony. Do you mind if I flip it around, make it transparent, and resize it, and then use it as my avatar? Like I... uh... already have? I'll change it if you mind.
  5. It was not self-contradictory, as I didn't say the concepts were YET combined perfectly. A possible resolution would be to say "new players could just recognize their limitations and weaknesses and avoid the wilderness until they have a decent suit of armor." Alternatively, if you really want to coddle them, you could give them some "free deaths". But more risk to dying means more players grouping up for mutual protection, which means more RP.
  6. To clarify my opinions: I do not want a system that involves perma-death when you die in any RP conflict. I want a system that allows characters (say, an annoying King) to be killed off permanently by their enemies, to make war more RP. I realize that it isn't fun to have your character die, but there shouldn't be no risk to, for example, leading an army in a suicidal charge against a much larger army. And, for the minas loss, I don't want a system that cripples new players, I want a system that makes players actively try to avoid dying ingame. Not their character dying, but... for example, at the moment, curiosity of the Undead is a more powerful force than the risk of losing items (especially if you're not carrying any!), which is why people run up in droves to Strqaephoth or whatever it's called, that floating city that the Undead have up north. Running up to the fabled Undead city, with a high risk of death, is not RP at all. It makes no sense! If dying always made you lose a thousand minas (and if it went into the negatives, you just couldn't buy anything/transfer money until it was positive again), it would make dying SO much more painful. It would be even better if someone could go /returnminas (name) and spawn their money back, in the case of a non-lethal tournament or something. If you don't want a large minas loss on death, I challenge you to come up with a way to make death something to be desperately avoided.
  7. I have played Mount & Blade, and I know what powergaming is. I simply dislike that all characters are effectively immortal. Especially criminals, because they don't actually die, there's little consequence. If the Minas penalty of dying was increased, fine, but death should be more than a slap on the wrist. People go scouting up north so they encounter Undead, die, and use the information they've obtained in a meta way. For one, I don't think the "cost" of death should EVER drop below 1000 Minas. That gives players an excellent reason to avoid death, especially if their money can go into the negatives. Make sense?
  8. If I may, I would really like some sort of "perma-kill conditions", that you could meet to kill another character permanently. Perhaps a certain method of killing, like "death by lava," or "death by (weapon)", or, my personal favorite, "death by Instant Damage potion (including splash potions)." That last one would give an excellent reason for Instant Damage Potions, and splash potions in general, to be highly illegal: Because they weaken the soul directly, and as such, Monks cannot save those who would perish to those weapons. Currently, there is no way to kill another character if the player doesn't want their character to die. That results in "fun" for the other player, but at a certain point, it can be frustrating and detrimental to RP, especially when players become argumentative, and refuse to allow their character to die. Also, I find the "if you're going to try and kill me, I have to agree AND you have to tell me in advance" rule is just ridiculous because people meta. Unbelievably so. And the inability to permanently kill another character has, I have seen, ruined lots of potentially excellent roleplay. Gah, that got a bit repetitive, but I believe that the point still stands.
  9. No, because capes are already programmed into Minecraft. Hoods are... not. At all. Although it is possible to give people blocks to wear on their heads, like dirt, or stone, with another SpoutCraft plugin.
  10. Uh... could you maybe perhaps maybe make a pony based on my Orc character, Lokria? If it's not too much trouble, here's the skin: http://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftSkins/UltraRed.png Also... you could probably charge Minas for these. I'm just saying. :P
  11. You would indeed have a second chance at getting in. Good luck with your second application!

  12. Yay racism! Specifically, the Orc kind!
  13. That's one of my favorites so far, after Dawn. I'd ask for one for Lokria, but you already have so many requests, and there are already a whole bunch of Orc ponies. Anyway, great work.
  14. I look forward to exploring these new areas!
  15. For Spout Players, from what I can tell, you would need the expanded/shrunk mobs installed on the client to morph players into that size. Can someone who actually understands this check that for me? EDIT: OMG VAQUIXINE COMMENTED THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING OMG!
  16. ((This is so incredibly off-topic right now. I'm just saying, maybe move this obvious flame war to PMs, or even profile comments.))
  17. I don't intend to impersonate a GM/member of the Application Team, but you're not supposed to post on unaccepted server applications, as it is equivalent to a bump. If you must give advice, please leave it in the form of a comment on the new player's profile, or in a personal message.

  18. Although you appear to be a great RPer, keep in mind that you WILL need an accepted Villain Application to lie, steal, cheat, and commit other villainous acts. Seeing as your character appears to be an evildoer, you might want to write up a Villain Application and edit your current application to include it/post it after you get accepted, if you are accepted before you complete it.

  19. Maybe half of any donation to fund the Minecon booth could be counted as a server donation? So if someone donated 50$, they'd get the commands and powers of a 25$ donator?
  20. ((So... "should I become King?" is an option on a poll signed "Anonymous"? I don't think I understand quite what that means, unless it's people voting for themselves.))
  21. Dark Elves? Maybe? EDIT: As in, I'm pretty sure they already exist.
  22. I like the idea of facepaint, especially for different military ranks. EDIT: Maybe clan tattoo on the back, and colored designs on the face for rank?
  23. Enchanting won't work without exp orbs, although I expect someone, somewhere, will probably code a plugin to automatically give you exp when you kill a monster, instead of having the server have to keep track of even more entities.
