The application surpasses the norm usually presented in ET applications, though I have two issues.

Firstly, you said you are an animation student. As far as I'm aware, it's a very time-consuming course. I've had friends who have taken it, and usually got ~3 or 4 hours on average of sleep. I understand you're quite active on the server, but we also want you to still have fun as a player here and there. Do you think you will be able to handle what'll be required from you in the ET, as well as maintain your course / other IRL duties?

Secondly, your attitude is quite appalling in some situations. I've seen it here and there, but have also experienced the good side of you. I think you could make an excellent actor if you can prove to us that you're capable of composing yourself in most situations. It's understandable to blow up sometimes, since we're only Human. But not all the time.
If you can show that you can control your outbursts, then I'm content.

You're a decent role-player, with some events in mind that would be fairly enjoyable, however I can not see you ever joining any team if your attitude doesn't change drastically. You're needlessly abrasive, openly antagonistic, and seem to derive pleasure from the displeasure of others, and until you start acting in a much better light, then I cannot support you for the life of me.

Yes, the career can be time consuming. Right now however I'm in a spot that allows for me to have lots of free time, the project I'm working on this year isn't as big as one might think. Also the year is coming to an end and that's going to be summer break for me, so yay more free time.

As for your other concern and that of Sky's, I just want to say that what you see from me in the skype chat is nothing like how I actually behave in-game. Yes, I vent a lot and talk a lot of trash in skype, that's how I keep my sanity and manage to keep it clean in-game. I know our time-zones are opposites so you don't get to see much from me in-game, but I assure you I fully understand where you're coming from and I agree with you. I know words may not be worth much, but I assure you the worst I do is banter in OOC.

And I am aware of the nature of our interactions in the past Sky. But that was quite a long time ago and I know how bad I was. I'm honestly tired of the constant stream of **** and I've made a big effort to stop adding to it since we last interacted. I just want to go back to having fun, and sharing the fun with others like it should be. All I ask for is a chance.

    • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? Nope

    • What MMORPG/video games have you/do you play (past and present)? Way more than I can count. I've been through most of the classics, all of Blizzard's games, a ton of Nintendo's famous series, bunch of LotR games, too many Indie titles, TES, Witcher, Dark souls, Final Fantasy, Banjo Kazooie, Harvest Moon, Blood Omen, PoP. It's a very long list.

    • What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a event team member? I mostly play on my Darkstalker. I have plenty of free slots on both accounts.

    • What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. I don't care much for racial lore-driven events, as I feel the current state of the server lore is in deplorable condition to say the least. I am interested in events that anyone can enjoy, regardless of race or group.

    • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? Flow, dynamism and player enjoyment. There must be a balance to provide players with an event that's interesting and break the generic RP routine, while also posing a challenge of sorts or managing to tell a different story which can be swayed one way or the other based on decisions. The player must feel as much a part of the event as the actors themselves.

    • What strengths could you contribute to the event department? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I have been here long enough to get a good grip on most of the lore, regardless of my level of agreeance with it. And as a student of animation with lots of different projects to keep track of, I've learned to organize everything I do and keep tabs on my work. My career also entails a lot of creative voodoo so I can certainly contribute with some ideas.

    • Why do you want to be part of the ET? To put it plainly, I want to make this place not boring and fight back the stagnancy.

    • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the managers and the lead, not to the community. Note: not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

-House of Mimics, small group (5 players at most):

A rundown household said to be haunted. People have gone missing, reports saying they were last seen going into the house. Local authorities have decided to hire some muscle to find out what's the deal with the place.

The house itself is an abandoned standard housing space, consisting of perhaps two floors and a spacious cellar. Objects within the house may change places when adventurers are not looking (Possible with WE). Of course, these are mimics which have infested the place, and the outcome will depend on what the adventurers do inside the house. There will be a journal inside the house that players may find, written in first person of an unsuspecting victim noticing some strange occurrences in the house. It will include subtle hints that might just ensure survival if picked up. The event will capitalize on mimic's weakness to water, having a source of it available somewhere.

    -Gift-bearing traveler:

A mysterious robed man wanders the lands, bringing trinkets and oddities to those that pass his tests. The man will appear at cities and other places with activity. He will get people's attention and ask for a variety of tasks to be performed, offering a small reward to whoever succeeds. The challenges can be many, riddles, trivias, a treasure hunt, anything that may be done spontaneously and allows for lots of creative freedom. The rewards are things like peculiar gemstones, ornamental gear and sometimes items which can be interacted with at a later date with ET supervision.

As a failsafe, the man has a set of simple magic tricks, such as translocation, in the case some buzzkill slays the man and ends the event, bearing no loot.

A simple event that can be done spontaneously and with relatively little prepartion.

    -A lost pig:

A poster appears on the bounty board. Apparently, a wealthy farm-owner has lost his one of a kind truffle-sniffing pig and offers a hefty sum of gold for its retrieval. The pig was last seen running off to a nearby cave in the woods, terrorized after a pack of wolves hit the farm at night. Easy gold for retrieving a silly pig, right? Well there's a cyclops inside the cave, and he's taken a liking to the pig's ability to sniff delicious truffles. He will not let the pig go easily. Whoever wants that gold must have what it takes to take on the hulking cyclops, or sly enough to find another way to retrieve the pig.

    • How long do you plan to stay on the ET? I'm not going anywhere.

    • Tell me a joke! Your face

Do you have Discord? (you need to): Yes

Do you feel that you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the application standards?: After so many years here, I'm pretty sure I do.

Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work and collaborate with others?: I want to review applications as if I get lashed if I don't. Also I want to help with the player retention issue. As for working in groups, I've done that throughout my life, I know about group dynamics and how to fill my role/s. I'm sure I'm capable.

Beyond reviewing whitelist applications, what ways do you think you would enjoy helping new applicants?: Helping new players get started on the server. They always have all sorts of questions and getting integrated to the server is actually quite difficult in our current state. All matters concerning new players should be part of the AT's responsibilities.

How do you think the server’s application process could be improved?: I don't think the Application process itself needs any changes. It's helping the approved applicants with their first steps into the server that needs some serious improving, our player retention is very poor and that's old news.

Is there anything else you would like to add or that we should know about you?: I play league too.

Tell me a joke: Wasn't this app funny enough for you?

  3. They have already failed their purpose. They are being hoarded, kept for the insatiable power fetish people have. If anything, they're having a negative impact overall. It goes only to show how little the LT  care about their own work, shoving things under the rug as soon as they come out of view and leave it to the playerbase to misuse.

Original Race (n/a if not applicable): Dark elf

    Transformed Form: Darkstalker

Creator (MCname and RP name, n/a if not applicable): Swgrclan, The Ashkeeper

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Darkstalkers are an undead warrior raised by necromancers through a ritual. It is the melee counterpart to it's spellcasting cousin the lich. The soul of the raised character is bound to a phylactery, a gem-like artifact that allows the necromancer to have control over the raised undead. If shattered, the darkstalker will be destroyed. However, this also means the darkstalker cannot be fully destroyed by conventional means. As long as the phylactery is kept safe they will be reformed anew after being slain. It works the same way as monk revival for practical purposes.

Darkstalkers appear as skeletons, their bones have been strengthened by dark magic, they are made faster, stronger and more resilient than a regular man. They can wear armor, wield weapons and are unable to feel pain. Thus they are fierce fighters. Unlike liches, however, they cannot use magic, save for a very basic lifedrain ability like that of necromancers. A darkstalker needs to feed on lifeforce to sustain itself. If they don't receive lifeforce, either from draining victims or given by a necromancer, they will become mad with hunger and will ultimately be destroyed as the phylactery shatters from lack of sustenance.

Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it: Nope

Have you applied for this creature on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app: No

  5. Event lines and such are NOT hidden lore.

Hidden lore is lore that is being used in roleplay, affecting people with it, but without allowing people to see it, specially those who are being subjected to it. This means anyone making use of "hidden lore" has nothing stopping them from powergaming and breaking rules, with there being no way for anyone to tell if such is the case or not. It's unfair, empowers powergaming and there is asbolutely no good reason for it to have ever existed in the first place.

You should make the distinction between actual hidden lore and eventlines. Remove all hidden lore that is not made public, keep event planning as it's always been.
