[[ Minecraft name: Ined ]] Name: Magna Grimmhall Clan: Grimmhall Where do you live: Mount Ire
-
I added the list of all the workers that are entitled to a normal house. Also paying in ore will be accepted, however what type of ore is not decided yet. But diamonds will naturally be allowed to pay in. Keep the forms coming! We are soon about to start constructing the houses.
-
Well I want te close down te current vault we have, as te location is somewhat bad. Me idea would then be instead of having everyone's chests gathered in one place everyone would take care of their own items in their houses. Seeing as te guilds are goin te get big houses tuu, each guild can then have it's own little vault down in teh basement. Te chests for te kingdom would be locted in a vault in teh palace, wher no one but very few people can enter. Therefore the luks uf et is not of importance, and te size of et depends on how many items we got. So te best fing would be just to consult wif te paragon and te economy gaj'. Also one uf me motos should appli', "Make it not tuu large, but give et ruum fer expansion".

((I do prefer if the workers post here too. That is because it's easier to see how many houses of each type we need, as well as having the workers show their interest in the city they just mined))
-
I would prefer having the event streamed as well, so the people who don't participate can follow the event as it actually happens.
-
Being planned. The first section after you walk over the bridge will be dedicated to shops and stands. First draft of the city infrastructure
-
Ye will get te ugliest, deepest cubby hole farthest away from the citi, since ye potentially risked everyun' in Mount Ire by bringin' in a infected orc!
-
Tis be te order I was going fer when makin' te citi. Each step is being made step by step. Mining the area (almost done!) Planning the infrastructure of the city Foundation and location of the houses, as well as roads Constructing the normal and two floored houses Constructing defences such as gates, towers, traps Constructing cubby houses at the far end of the cavern Constructing the minecart travel system in the city Planning the Deeproad Planning the noble district Foundation and location of houses in Noble District, as well as the castle Constructing the Noble District Constructing the Deeproad hub and mining tunnels
-
welcome back brothe'! Now help me wif dis new city, har har!
-
Oh me almost forgot! First te high positioned people will be allowed te choose housing, then the workers who helped mine te' citi (they get un normal house fer free!) and then we go after te list!

Mount Ire Housing Dwarves, hear me! We have done a great deal of mining and excavating in the city, and we are soon approaching the time to start building the houses in the city. This will be a very big project, and as I tell all my architects one should always plan how it should look before you start with the construction. Therefore, I want to make sure we got a big enough area before we start building the houses. I don't want to realize the space is not big enough as we are constructing and also I want to know what type of houses you dwarves are interested in! Interested in a house in Mount Ire? Then fill out the form below! It will first give us an idea what kind of house you are interested in, so we know how many of each kind we would have to build. Also to give a little bonus, we will start selling the houses based on the order you fill out the form. You will be contacted, and you will get to choose the location of which you want to stay in. You are not obligated to buy a house if you fill out the form, and you are also allowed to change what type of house you are interested in. Pricing Please not that the prices of the houses are not decided yet. I will have to discuss with our King Kjell, as well as the Doyen of Economy and Doyen of City Management. However, the prices will give you an idea on the price classes. Paying in ores will be accepted, however the exact types still need to be discussed. Diamond is going to be an accepted payment type, that much I can guarantee. 1. Cubby House - Free A basic 33 room, given for free by the government of the city. These will be spread out on the walls, most likely in the far end of the cavern. They might also look like the design that Gimrik made (the little house before you cross the bridge). 2. Normal House - 2000-3000 minas The basic house, around 7x7 (see Darius house, the first floor). Will probably even be made into towers or smaller houses with a few houses on each other (each floor is a house). 3. Two Floored House - 5000-7000 minas Pretty much a normal house ontop of the other, with a staircase between them (like Darius house). The house can either have a basement or a second floor. For a slightly higher cost, the first floor can be changed into a shop. The more "exlusive" types will also have a small front/backyard. 4. Noble House - 10,000 - 15,000 minas The most exclusive house. The exact design and size it not decided yet, however the house will obviously be bigger than the two-floored house. It will have a small hall, and then a corridor with individual rooms. But what's special is that the house will be located in the Noble District, located on the raised platform near Yemekars gift and next to the palace. The district will be far more secure, with an open view of the cavern. The Workers As a payment to those who helped mine the city, the kingdom has granted them a normal house, for free. If a worker wishes to upgrade to a better form of house, the worker would then only have to pay the difference between the prices. The workers that are entitled to a normal house: The Form Fill out the following if you are interested in a house. Select one of the type of houses above you would like to own, and perhaps add any extra comments if you want. Name: Titles: House interested in: Extra comments:

A Business Proposition To My Brothers And Sisters.
Ined replied to Ever's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
((People, and time. This project you want to do is HUGE, and to be honest I have doubts of it being used other than by the dwarves. As much as I actually would want to make these tunnels but mining them out takes a lot of time, not to mention it's boring. I've never made the calls to constantly move capitals, yet every time we do people look to me to finish the city. I'm tiered of constantly rebuilding the capital, that's why we are making the current city now huge, so we have plenty of space and never need to move again. However, there are already too few dwarves working on the city and we really don't have the manpower to start on your project yet. I want one big project done first before I move on to the other one.)) -

((you already made a thread about this - and I will answer it like I answered in that thread. You need to understand that this is going to be implemented, however we have not had the time to begin yet. The dwarves have "started over" two times now, and we always need to make the city first before we start thinking about linking it with other areas. My answer to your second thread My answer in another, similar thread Some ideas we had before that might be used It's been on the to-do list for the architects for some time )) Dis be added! As suun as te citi is gettin done, we will be startin te connect te various outposts in te dwarven lands, as well as a tunnel to te monks. Frem then on, who noes? Ye must understand dis be a enormous project and will take time. As I tell all me architects, never fink too big but give ruum fer expansions! It is not known yet wher dis big station will be; wether its gonna be in te center uf mount ire or just outside te city (fer security reasons). However te new city is bein planned te 'ave rails goin over te city to various stations, so te dwarves can move quickly to each corner uf te city. Now if ye now say yer so rich, I suppose ye could pay fer te whole fing? -
I suppose ye can. But still, we only need city defenses when we got homes te defend. To have a home you need a house, and to have a house you need an area to build et. To have an area to build te houses ye need te mine. So lets go minin'! ((No constructions will be started on until most of the city is mined out, and there is still a big area to be done.))
-
Ye want a mushroom farm next to te noble district? har har! Alright I will see wher we can place et. As fer te smithin guild ye need te talk te Arbrek. I told him te exact same thing, yet he insisted on placin it ther. Personally I want it next to te pickaxe together wif te other guilds. I'm tiered of arguin wif te old man, or whatever he now es, and so es Darius tu.

Magna puts up a quickly drawn sketch on one of the house walls in the city. Oi! Dis be me ideas fer te city:
-
The Grimmhalls have always supported the king.
-
I was talking te Kjell te other day, and slight changes will be made to te citi. Currently teh entire city only consists uf four square, boring, stone houses. Clearly we need moar! We need te get dat citi feelin. Therefore it has been decided dat te wall on te side uf te storage and deeproad, will be TNTd te make te open, citi area bigger. Also on te side uf te tavern will be expanded, therefore te tavern will 'ave te move. We will also most likely be movin' te staircase to te noble district moar towards te castle, also te make rum fer moar houses. In te big area that then will appear, several constructions will be placed. If ye luk back at te picture dat Kjell made, ye see massive structures, houses, towers, railroads and other fings. Dis is wat I 'ope te acomplish, meaning 'ouses will be placed a bit randomly and wif different designs, and some will 'ave towers. Since I want dis te be te central part in te city, I would also want te place a big 'ouse in te middle fer te smiths. Ther we will 'ave giant cauldrons wif lava, and they will also 'eat up te town. Te miners will get a big tower, wif ceveral floors and wif rails leadin from te tower above te citi into various parts in te mountain to dig sites. As fer te deep road it is gud as nao, however a hubb needs te be built. Ther we will 'ave several deep roads goin te other directions. Also te current gate is far tu 'unsafe', even if te enemies dun enter te actual city they could potentially bombard us with TNT from dat height. Te gate will therefore either be relocated a bit further away, or we could use te deep road from Karik that leads straight under te gate ther. This was Kjell's idea. I will be lukin forward workin wif ye Darius!

((I know, but Magna doesn't. Still he has broken one of Kjell's rules))

Magna Grimmhall walks over the fine stone bridge he made years ago, leading to the entrance to Khaz'a'Zharr. He thinks back to the time when he was repairing the city of Karik during the time of King Thorik's ruling, and how he and his brother put up signs on their constructions with their family name, to spread the word of the Grimmhalls. Today the family name is well recognized for their work, and there are very few constructions that have been made for the kingdom of the Dwarves that the Grimmhalls haven't helped with. The Grimmhalls as well as the architects are currently busy with the new capital in Mount Ire, although Magna often walks back to Khaz as it was the first city he had helped build from the ground, and he has always seen it as his home. Today however he would not walk inside the city; his mind was leading him to the wood farm in the valley. Several days ago when Magna was exploring, he had found a pig walking around. He then remembered it has been a while since he saw any type of animal on these lands, and that this in fact might be the last pig in the dwarven lands. He had then quickly walked back to the city and gathered some wheat, and lured the poor pig into the valley where he had trapped him. Although Magna did not see it as a trap, he saw it as a way to rescue the animals that nearly were to be extinct in the domain of the dwarves. He searched a long time, for several days, and finally also found some cows and sheep. He became delighted to see that he had two of each kind, and that hopefully he would be able to breed them and save the population from dying out. However when walking through the woods to the far end of the valley, he discovers that something is wrong. Only two sheep and a pig remain - the other pig and cows are gone. Where could they have gone? Surely no dwarf is foolish enough to kill animals that are locked in. Magna looks around, and is shocked to discover that the entire mountain side has been altered. Instead of the layers of stone at the bottom with dirt at the top of the hills he now discoveres a staircase that has been made. The staircase, although new, is in such a horrible state - it's been made on nearly 20 meters of dirt. Not even a proper bottom layer has been made (like a pyramid) but the staircase has risen completly straight up. This is a fools work, Magna says to himself. As soon as rain will fall the dirt will turn to mud, and the whole staircase will come crashing down. Magna walks slowly up the staircase as he is rather big, to discover who has killed the last of the cows on the dwarven land. As soon as he reaches the top - he realizes someone has been digging into the mountain. This idiot has even given the place a name! Khaz'Tiwaaz, Magna says silently with a bitter taste in his mouth. He spits on the ground and picks up his axe, determined to enter. Above the door a sign saying 'Do Not Disturb' is hanging. Funny, the idiot thinks he can hide his arse behind a sign. The door is locked. The idiot seems to possess the ability to create locks - so he does have some form of brain. Magna puts back his axe and picks forth his diamond pickaxe, made of the finest quality. Even though he is an architect he is also a legendary miner, one of the best. He starts digging into the mountain, just like the idiot did. After he enters the corridor he quickly picks up some stone from his bag, and repairs his small tunnel. Just as new, Magna thinks to himself. Magna walks through the tunnel, past some furnaces. He peaks into it and discovers stone has been melting inside. Not only has the idiot mined in an unothorized area, but he is even constructing things. And all this without the permission of the High Architect, Manga Grimmhall. Magna walks down some stairs, and he notices they are made out of cobblestone. Cobblestone that Manga has banned from the kingdom, due to it being so ugly and weak. All his architects know this. Magna picks up his axe again, and thinks to himself This idiot really wants to die. As he continues down he notices the roof being held up by crappy wooden sticks. Wood does not hold stone. Soon he enters a small room, with walls made of colored wool. A material dwarfs do not use in construction. He finds some chests, most of these are locked with the exception of one. In it he finds two raw beefs, as well as two leathers. Proof that this idiot killed the cows! He closes the chest and walks down one of the corridors. Even the roof ontop of him seems to have started collapsing, there is nearly no space between his head and the roof. He also discovers wood being used to light the corridor. The flames are licking the ceiling, warming the stone and causing cracks. This Khaz'Tiwaaz will not stand for long. He discovers several small rooms, and inside them structures with runes on them. The idiot is dealing with black magic too, Magna thinks. He carries on and finds yet another room made of wool and sticks. The architecture is similar to the orcish one Magna notes. He walks back and finds another corridor, one suddenly leading to a balcony looking out over the swamp, where the first gate to Khaz is. He has even made a watchtower for himself, where he can stand an shoot down poor dwarves that are lured back to Khaz. Magna quickly leaves the place. A dwarf that killed the last cows the kingdom has, made his own settlement in front of the entrance to Khaz'a'zharr, and dealing black magic. A dwarf that has not gotten permission for the settlement, nor for the architecture. A dwarf that has never been spoken of in the High Council. And lastly, a dwarf that has disobeyd the almighty Paragon and War King Kjell Ireheart, to sign in to Mount Ire. A dead dwarf.

I 'ave sum very gud elven friends, who have been kind enof te offer me gud prices on diamond sets. 'e is currently sellin' them fer 9500 minas per set and I was curious te 'ear wif ye fellas if any sets are needed. Teh price fer diamond is cheaper than te price dat has been set in our kingdom, so it will be cheaper fer ye. Arcane check wif all yer men and leave me a message if ye decide te buy sum. Possibly te kingdom might provide ye wif te money, however ye need te ask Kjell dat.

What your wiki name will be (case sensitive): Ined Why are you trustworthy?: I really support the idea of roleplaying, and I've been on this server long enough to start adding and updating some of the content. It bothered me much when I started on LOTC that much of the information was hard to find, and outdated. I'm pretty good at writing so I thought I'd contribute to the wiki.

Ye wud 'ave te talk te Oghren as it 'as been 'is project fer sum time nao.
