Serfs have no need for houses! They must sleep in the mud where they were born!

There just isn't any RP info on who to contact for housing in various areas. Even OOC it's tricky to find the contact, get in contact with them, and then get a response. James, are you in charge of certain housing in Oren?

  5. *This note is posted upon the keep near the door* ((An actual sign is posted at the location referencing this post)) "To any that now reside upon or claim this land and structures thereon, I, Kyle Bradshaw, desire to be made aware of the current standing of my properties. These lands were claimed by me in the first and the structures here built by my order. Now I find them in various states of ruin and disorder. In all probability, claimed by various vagabonds and brigands. If you think you have some claim to this estate or anything in it, state it now. I do not claim anything that you may have stored here, so you are free to remove it. I will negotiate with anyone claiming this land if they send me notice. Otherwise, in one elven-week's time, I will reclaim this land and it contents. Any replies should be sent by bird to the Stafyr barracks. Kyle Bradshaw Son of Sean Bradshaw"
  6. *Kyle receives another message, this time from Marshal Stormhammer. He reads through the note then raises his eyebrows, mumbling to himself...* "Well, that is interesting. I suppose I'll wait and see what other claims are sent for the dagger." *tucks the note away in his coat pocket, returns the pipe to his mouth and puffs away"
  7. *Kyle receives the note written illegibly by an orc it seems. He looks at the scrawled letters, tilts the paper this way and that, mumbles through it a few times and finally throws the note in the fire* "Blood if I know what he was trying to say, doubtless it was a threat of some kind." *Kicks his boots back up as he sits smoking a pipe by the fire and watches the smoke drift towards the ceiling*
  8. *A small note is posted on boards and trees around the human lands. If you should notice one and take the time to read it...* "FOUND: Uruk Tusk Dagger and the diary of Erik Nyle. During the battle with the orcs a few elven days ago, I came into possession of an Uruk Tusk Dagger and Erik Nyle's diary. 16. In a room over looking the sea, Sean Bradshaw sits in a padded chair behind an old desk piled with papers and ledgers. A salt air breeze passes through the open window and lightly ruffles some papers. Sean doesn't mind, he's always loved the sea. Many of the wrinkles and sun-spots on his aged face he proudly wears as marks of days spent on the ocean. Through the window he can see the newly commissioned 50-gun warship Peacekeeper. Meticulously designed and built by Bradshaw Shipyard. The shipyard had been long planned and finally completed under the oversight of Sean and his son Kyle Bradshaw. Just yesterday they had celebrated the completion of their first capital ship. A joint venture of father and son, blacksmith and carpenter. Sean Bradshaw shakes off the thoughts of the ship and his son and finishes the document in front of him, signing with a flourish. Kyle enters soon after. "The Swordfish is ready for sea father. Is the announcement ready?" Sean stands up, slowly working the creaks out of his bones, and passes the sealed document to his son. "It is, do as we've discussed, have it copied and distributed. Meet with anyone interested in our services." Sean walks around the desk and claps his son on the shoulder. "Travel safe my son. May you find fair winds and a following sea." Kyle smiles at the phrase his father has long used and embraces his father, then carefully stows the sealed document in his satchel. "I'm sure the Swordfish will find any fair winds that are to be had. I'll send word of any contracts. Take care father." Sean nods and watches his son retreat from the room and later watches the Swordfish depart from his window. The ship drops her bright sails, snapping taught as they fill with wind. Before long she's cutting a foaming trail out of the bay and rounds the point, out of sight. A document written in perfect script and embellished with painted scenes of the shipyard and the Peacemaker can be seen in all the great gathering places of Asulon. Perhaps you may have even seen a fellow in a green sea cloak with gold trim posting them near you. If you take the time to examine the document, you see the following: "People and Nations of Asulon! It is a supreme delight to inform you that Bradshaw Shipyard is now accepting contracts for new ships! Not just any ships mind you. The finest ships to be found in the land! Using only the finest and strongest materials to be found. Using only the most modern technologies and time-tested craftsmanship. Our ships are each one of a kind and built specifically to your needs and specifications. The staunchest capital ships! The fastest packet ships and skirmishers! The most luxurious pleasure yachts! Whenever you need to cross our crystal oceans of Asulon, Bradshaw Shipyard is the only place to get the most meticulous designs of the finest craftsmanship. These are not common ships and will not cost you common prices. We must charge a premium fee to provide you with the best craftsmanship, artisan woodwork, and finest materials available. When you commission a Bradshaw ship, you bring power and prestige to your people and nation. Add a Bradshaw ship to your navy, and who can match her... but another Bradshaw ship. Send a bird to the inn by the gates of Arethor where my son, Kyle Bradshaw, awaits to meet you and discuss your needs. Fair winds and a following sea! Sean Bradshaw" You see additional depictions are attached: ((send a forum message to me if you'd like to meet to discuss options))

  20. *a bird arrives bearing a note from Sean Bradshaw* "Sir, you say you have bundles of sticks to sell? I would be willing to buy 8 stacks for 15 minas each or trade you half a stack of jungle logs, whichever you prefer. Fair winds and a following sea. Sean Bradshaw"
