  2. Within the bustling city of Kal’Ithrin, dwarven officials are seen scurrying around the city, hammering up notices on the various notice boards. The notices read: “To the Citizens of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, The Engineers Guild from this day forth is disbanded. All it’s activities and duties shall be taken up by Yemekars Pick. The remaining members if they wish to continue with their profession must report to Onar Stormhammer the current Yemekars Pick for work. This can be done using the methods in the flyer below: This decision was reached after long deliberation within the Lords Council. For many years the Engineers have been relatively inactive as a Guild since the days of Nalro. Increasing with Rehki’s appointment as their head. With no communication between the Engineers Guild and the Lords Council for a prolonged amount of time, they’ve been deemed inactive. As such the above decision has been reached. Forcing us to disband the guilds, and absorbing it’s remnants into Yemekars Pick. Brathmordakin watch over you all, Lords Council“
  3. ((Just sayin, doing fingerprinting doesn't make a lot of RP sense. We have no computer databases, so they really wouldn't be that useful.))
  4. *Lord Onar Ireheart walks out of the council chamber, with a content look on his face. He walks up to the Kal’Ithrun square, clears his throat and begins to speak.* “Broddahs, weh ‘ave a grave danger upon us. Dah citeh ov Kal’Azgoth nae beh safe fer entreh eneh more, wif dah t’reat frum dah deep roads growing evah closah. Weh mus’ seal dah citeh at once, to protect both dah t’inks in, and outside ov it. If yeh 'ave anytin in dah citeh, get it oot, for in a few days ah will beh sendehn ah team ov engineers ova tah close dah old obsidian gate, and lets ‘ope weh don’t run into aneh problems.” ((Plan: On Saturday we are sealing off Kal’Azgoth. Event will be sometime in the afternoon (EST). Be prepared to fight some baddies.)) ((Also, I need some dwarves (about 5) to RP engineers with me. PM me if interested.))
  5. Welcome to the server! Your application will be moved to Accepted Applications until a moderator gets the chance to white list you. After that your application will be moved to Implemented Applications. Feel free to read up on Dwarven Information and history if you haven't already. Please take a look at the New Player Guide if you haven't read it over. Also, take a look at the Dwarven Language. Although only a few words are commonly used in game, make sure you understand the accent and know how to use it.
  6. On your previous application, you plagiarized your definition for powergaming, causing it to be denied. One may only submit five applications per month, after which they must wait one month. You only waited a week, then applied again. Furthermore you have the same plagiarized definition. Also, your metagaming definition, although original here, was plagiarized on your last application and the AT member who reviewed it did not catch it. Therefore, your ban will be extended to six weeks from today. You may re-apply on February 3, 2014.
  7. Just one thing to note, you would in fact be an Adunian, but since they have the curses of both races, they are short lived, and live a maximum of about 180 years. Welcome to the server! Your application will be moved to Accepted Applications until a moderator gets the chance to white list you. After that your application will be moved to Implemented Applications. Feel free to read up on Adunian Information and history if you haven't already. Please take a look at the New Player Guide if you haven't read it over.
  8. Banned from applying for two weeks. You plagiarized your roleplaying and metagaming definitions from Wikipedia. We take plagiarism seriously here, and we ask that you put your definitions n your own words. Beyond that there are some issues with your app as well: It lacks a powergaming definition. Your history contains no server lore and is extremely short. When you re-apply, please make it longer. Server lore can be found on our wiki. You must include a screenshot of your skin. You may re-apply in two weeks time, on January 5, 2014.
  9. You did not wait 24 hours before applying again. Your powergaming definition is still incorrect. Please refer to the RP definition, located on our wiki, but don't copy and paste it.
  10. Unfortunately, there are some issues with your application: Your definition of powergaming is incorrect. Please refer to the RP definition located on our wiki, but do not copy-paste. Your character history is awfully short and lacks detail. Consider expanding upon it and fixing up some loose-ends, for example, how did your father die? Consider adding some major events or information that would support her ambitions and skills. Your character must have some sort of weakness. None of us are perfect. I can not view your skin. Please upload a screenshot of it to an image sharing site such as imgur.com. You may re-apply in 24 hours.

  12. Accepted! Your application was wonderful and although I almost cried, I loved reading through your biography. You have shown a very good knowledge of the server lore, and I am very impressed. Furthermore, your definitions were very well written. Overall this is one of the best applications I have ever read, and I must commend you on it, and thank you for applying. Your application will be moved to Accepted Applications until a moderator gets the chance to white list you. After that your application will be moved to Implemented Applications. Please take a look at the New Player Guide if you haven't already read it over. Welcome to the server!
  13. Unfortunately, there are some issues with your application: Your definitions of metagaming and powergaming are incorrect. Please refer to the RP definitions, located on our wiki, but don't copy and paste them. Please try to avoid the overused story of "My parents were slain by orcs." Try to be more creative in your character history. Other than that your application looks good and I look forward to seeing you apply again. You may re-apply in 24 hours.
  14. ~Yemekar’s Workforce~ There is one group of hardworking dwarves that holds the entirety of the Grand Kingdom upon their broad shoulders, a group of dwarves that truly know the meaning of “a hard day’s work.” They the workforce of Yemekar’s Pick, they are those who dedicate their hands to the service of The Maker. Woodcutting, mining, and farming are not merely tradeskills to be learned and then performed sluggishly from day to day in monotonous drudgery but they are skills to be cherished. The common worker is not lowly or insignificant in the grand scheme of the Kingdom but they are what keep the empire moving forward, for without supplies how would goods and profits be made? Most importantly, without farmers how would we produce ale?! This is why any dwarf should be honored to join the workforce of the empire, for they not only honor themselves but they honor their clan, the Kingdom, and Yemekar himself. ~Management Ranks~ Yemekar’s Pick: The leader of the Dwarven Workforce. He is in charge of managing the mines, lumber yards, and farms. He manages the pay and workers of each station making sure their are no stealers or dishonest members. Yemekar’s pick must always make sure their are enough supplies left and that the farms get replanted. He also acts as the Master Engineer, responsible for managing all the engineering projects in the Kingdom. Current Yemekar's Pick: Onar Stormhammer ((Kowaman)) Overseers: There are three Overseers in the Workforce, each having their own domain. They are each paid 500 minas per week. Overseer of Mining: The Overseer of Mining is in charge of making sure miners do their job. They notify the Yemekar’s Pick if there are any problems. They must also make sure the mines do not collapse or get overused (To the point where there is no minerals left to collect). Current Overseer of Mining: Grungron Irongut ((James27049)) Overseer of Lumber: The Overseer of Lumber is stationed at the lumber yard and is in charge of making sure workers do their job. They notify the Yemekar’s Pick if there are any problems. They must also make sure to replant the saplings of trees and to take all the leaves down. Current Overseer of Lumber: Shina Fragilis ((Killjoy445)) Overseer of Farming: The Overseer of Farming is stationed at the farms and is in charge of making sure workers do their job. They notify the Yemekar’s Pick if there are any problems. They must also make sure to replant the seeds. Current Overseer of Farming: Thorne Stormhammer ((XxDukesterxX)) ~Miners~ Miners are the backbone of the Dwarven economy, they supply the minerals needed to make minas and to create the great smithing creations. Whether it is clearing out monsters, finding new veins, or clearing out rogue miners. As a miner, you will come out with a beard studded with gems, a good reputation, and perhaps a hefty pay. Ranks: Miner: Responsible for retrieving materials for the Kingdom. Lead Miner: Miners that have shown outstanding dedication and skill are promoted to Lead Miners. Each mine will have an established amount of Lead Miners which it may have, depending on its size and the amount of workers working within it. Lead Miners report to the Overseer of Mining, and ensure that mining checkpoints are adequately supplied. They act as leaders for the miners, as well as watchdogs, alerting the Overseer of lazy miners or dealing with the problem themselves. All miners are payed at the mining depot in the city. Lead miners are given a bonus. ~Lumberjacks~ The Loggers of the nation are the strong-armed outdoors men whom put the wood in a noble dwarf’s fireplace, and the planks on a commoner’s floors. Whether it be pine or oak, the logger’s job is to find whatever type of wood that the nation requires and deliver it in an efficient manner. Not only does a logger’s job involve the chopping of trees and supply of logs and planks but those logs and planks are used in a myriad of different projects. From fencing for the farms, to tools for the miners, the usefulness of the loggers is immense when it comes to the rest of the workforce. For the entire nation, beds, chairs, tables, swords, axes, buildings, and doors all require the logger’s hands to gather the necessary wood for such objects. The possibilities are quite endless when it comes to wood, and therefore the importance of the loggers is quite endless well. Ranks: Logger: Standard worker at the logging camp, chops down trees, break leaves and replant. Payment: 35 minas per stack of spruce wood, 30 for oak or dark oak, 25 for all others. Foreman: Leader of the logging camp, ensures that all the logger meet their Quotas and the general operation of the logging camp runs smoothly. Same as Logger, plus a bonus. ~Farmers~ Although agriculture may not have the more clear and present dangers that mining does, it is no less crucial to the survival of the rest of the workforce and Dwarven Empire. Without adequate food and ale, the loggers and miners would not be able to gather the materials used for building our stout stonework and masterwork tools. Meats, vegetables, bread, fish, and other baked goods are all necessities for a healthy Dwarven diet, and let us not forget our most cherished drink, ale. These staples are what the farmers and herdsmen will gather, and therefore do not think of it as merely farming or butchering but fueling an entire Nation with food and drink. It may seem like a daunting task, but if you fulfill your Quota then you did your pivotal part in making it happen. Ranks: Farmer: The basic worker of the farms. What he or she farms is dictated by the Harvest Master. Payment: 350 minas. Herdsman: The basic animal workers. A herdsman’s job is to collect eggs and milk from the animals of the farm, along with butchering cows, pigs, and chickens for meat, leather, and feathers when needed. They also make sure that nothing, such as wolves or wandering mischief makers, tamper with the animals. Payment: 350 minas. Harvest Master: Leader of a farm. Tells what farmer will farm what and establishes their quotas, and ensures that the farm meets its quota given by Yemekar’s Pick. Payment: 400 minas. Head Rancher: Subordinate to the Head Harvester but directs the herdsmen of the farm and gives them their quotas. They make sure that the animals remain safe and are only slaughtered when the time comes. Payment: 400 minas. ~Rules and Laws~ Entire Workforce: -Always fulfill your quota - Do not Steal - Do not harbor any items - You must work to make mina - Do not insult/fight with your superiors or fellow workers - You have until every Sunday to fulfill your quota. Payment will be sent at 8 PM EST every Sunday. - Always give all your materials until you reach the quota, any materials kept without reaching the quota will be seen as STEALING and HARBORING. Mines: -No fighting over ores - No damaging the supports - No random digging - No drunken brawls - Put supports down every 5-6 blocks, and torches every 8-10. - If a dungeon is found you must report it to a Lead Miner, and they will take the supplies. Taking the supplies from a dungeon for yourself will be seen as STEALING and HARBORING. - No witchcraft or magic within the mines ((No X-Ray, if you’re caught doing this you will be reported to the moderators and Yemekar will be disappointed.)) Lumberyards: - Always replant the tree saplings to expand the farm - Never leave any leafs floating around - Any planks or sticks received, if not used for tools, must be given to a Foreman. - Any apples received must go to a Foreman. Farms: - Always replant the seeds into the dirt. - Do not trample the crops. - Do not change the zoning for crops when replanting. -No overcrowding of animals as all animals are allowed. -Keep two of each animal so they can breed. -Each animal must be in a safe, closed off area. ~Applications & Roster~ Workforce Applications Farm Applications (For Farm Owners) Roster
