Metagaming is when you use out of character information to assist your person in character. Basically it’s if you walk up to someone and say “Hello –name-.” and your character isn’t aware of their name yet you, behind the screen; know. Powergaming is basically when you forgoe character traits to get past an obstacle. Say you decided your character has arachnophobia and you come upon a group of deadly spiders in your travels, though your character would squeal and run away you don’t want to seem silly so you charge at the foes and kill them. Character Name: Jangle Claw. What is your Race?: Goblin. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Jangle was a very relaxed, chill little goblin growing up. He lived a fairly laid back life with his brother Jingle. He took a liking to instruments early on, playing melodies and interesting tunes to himself all the time. He was often seen clowning about with his brother for he enjoyed dancing around and causing trouble. Jangle was seen as a boisterous merrymaker by his peers because of his general causing of mischief. Though he didn’t care to annoy the ladies for Jangle was quite the womanizer, despite his appearance he tried his best with the girls. When Jingle left to explore the lands Jangle had to stay in the confines of the small family home with the rest of his kin until he was old and wise enough to understand the world and its perils. Though his luck took a turn when recently with the unpleasant destruction of Aegis he was forced to flee away to the new lands of Asulon. There he was split up from his brothers and sisters and lost and confused he wandered the lands for a while until he received a bird from his brother who explained his location and of his new found fame among the residents. Thrilled by this news he hurried quickly to the area in which his brother currently resides. Appearance: Jangle is a small yet quite stout and muscly little goblin, not in the buff way but more in a sort of need basis. For Jangle had discovered performing even minor actions was greatly assisted by the possession of muscles- however small they are. He has thick dark grey skin and gleaming green eyes. Oh, not to forget embarrassingly small tusks that shame him greatly. He also has some mustard coloured war paint that covers his face and not to forget the family trademark a red-ish nose. Personality: Jangle is a very cheerful and mischievous goblin who enjoys messing about. He likes good company and friends- And of course music, good music at that. He isn’t the brightest of goblins and can be considered slightly mad, coming up with crazy and absurd ideas. Your characters ambitions: To become a well-known bard and explore the different regions of Asulon with his brother in hope of fame and fortune. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Whistling to himself as he wanders through the long grass concealing the main part of his small frame he discovers the small rural and worryingly suspicious cottage placed in the middle of nowhere. He observes the scene with great interest before deciding to act. Then he notices his stupidity, he’d been whistling- very loudly. The bandits, annoyed by the consistent noise turn around to discover him looking around innocently. They continue to eye him up; looking for any signs of money, after fully examining him they decide that the only thing we will be is a problem. Assessing the situation he decides the best thing to do would be sprint. And so he did whilst being chased closely by his disgruntled pursuers. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Quickly dismissing the words, Jangle looks back at the seemingly annoyed gamblers searching through the crowds for their prey. Heart pounding he leaps across the counter, landing with a loud “thud” on the floor. The men trudge in, holding large clubs that are in the mood for some klomping. “’Hey, YOU. Yer seen a chubby little goblin?!” one of the gang members roared. Jangle thought about replying “Me nub chubb!” but quickly dismissed the idea, instead looking the shopkeeper in the eyes whilst having a finger over his mouth. A screenshot of your skin:[/color
