I have to agree with the others on this one. Dark magic isn't really meant for healing- It's like using a flamethrower to repair a damaged house, or like knitting with a battleaxe. You have to use it cleverly. Like burning down your home with a flamethrower and using the insurance to get a new house, or threatening an old lady with a battleaxe so she knits faster. Making the magic directly heal is just... too easy.

No, it isn't- The same thing could happen with a runic arm at any time. *Newbie mcnewb allows a crystal in his stone hand to glow, It fires a laser at you with RUNIC ENERGY!!!* It could happen to any magic, at any time... How can you not see that. And? I don't... care if I'm the only one that makes these. Honestly, so long as the lore is out there for anyone to use, I'm happy. That makes absolutely no sense. My limbs are actually weaker than golem runic arms... The only thing better is coordination. Even that is only near human standards. This downgrades a person. Now you're just contradicting yourself from your earlier post. Either runic limbs are something you give to anyone- or they're something you're hoarding. Even besides that, the server already has a cure-all-lore. Monks.

Yes you definitely can! Noone is stopping you from canceling any and all damage caused by OOCly using the monks. Stuff like prosthetic limbs and such is only flavor for RPers who prefer to go the hardcore(See: awesome) route, and wish to make the damage done to their characters permanent.

Yeah I know- I was just giving an example of how it might possibly be abused- where someone can 'temporarily forget' how it's supposed to work, and block stuff they shouldn't be able to. Most lore can end up like that too- and mine is likely going to be no exception, no matter how hard I try.

Basically, as far as I can tell, there is no lore, secret or otherwise, for Runic arms- however it's been generally accepted to exist, and according to Dizzy was first allowed by Lago.

Golems are all those things too- and they're still OP. Calling your "stone shields that are also arms" unabusable is extremely short sighted. Yeah I heard you the first ten times, you had a bad experince because of JCMarine, not me. As far as I can tell that person has been banned or left the server. And, for final time, trying the pin the blame for that on me is still stupid. No, in fact, I know that you don't really care about this at all. You could care less about possible implications. If I changed them, which I can, I know you would find something else to complain about. I honestly believe that all you really care about is keeping fake limbs for yourself, But you know, I'll give you a chance to prove me wrong. I just changed the lore to state that nothing can be inside the arms. This OK with you now, or are you gonna think up something else?

It was in the original lore, which literally allows for it within its own rules, but never states it outright. I was asked to write more defining it clearly. I was pointing out Lima's hypocracy in saying that my lore would be power gamed. So, we should get rid of monk magic and Druidic healing because clerics can heal anyways? Must make those magics totally unnecessary.

Considering I wrote it, I can safely say it was. I literally had to write this seperate when the lms asked me to elaborate further on it before doing it in rp.

Alteration cannot make new arms. Neither can any healing magic besides really, really difficult clerical magic. the only way they would approach a dwarf is if they meta gamed your own secret lore. also, I'm sorry but, you're honestly speaking like its impossible for a runesmith making pure iron arms can't give people OP abilities. Runesmiths can pg just like anyone else., and considering IRON ARMS seem to be doing so already. Whether or not you have some secret, sequestered document, it breaks mech standard anyways. Overall, I'll say this- rune smithing was never originally intended to do arms, and in product it makes an unrealistic prosthetic that should literally be more unweightly than useful. Claiming that your flawed lore of iron arms is the end all, be all of prosthetics is just close-minded. Instead of making such a fuss about "all your rp being stolen away," why don't you solve it in rp, or even make the specialties of your sequestered magic (still only 2-3 users after a whole year of time to grow) more public?

I've already stated why it doesn't need mana gems- It is powered by a direct connection to the soul of another, with soul puppetry. The enchantment is constantly powered- quite literally, people /become/ the mana gem.

If you read you'd know why- you have to sacrifice use of an arm to get use of a new one.

Golemancy and Arcane Puppetry /are/ similar magics. They may not be the same in form, but the function of the two are practically identical. The biggest difference is that puppetry sacrifices the durability and power of golems for total control. Conversely, a partial puppetry hand would never be as strong as a partial golem hand, but you would have very fine control over it.

For both of the magics: The soul-puppetry link from the soul to the object is what powers it. Edit: Also I checked with Jistuma: Mana Gems are not required to enchant- They're just better at holding mana than most things.

Because making arms for other people is somehow only increasing RP for me... Very logical.

Alright, first off, I'm not responsible for how people misuse enchantments. You know that damn well. Second, If you don't want people to copy the special things you can do with your knockoff enchanting magic, don't put it in a hidden lore document. Actually, that's not even my main problem- the reality is, I don't care if you can make arms with runesmithing. I'm going to do it with arcane magic too. Hopefully, one day, a person will do it with just redstone.

That's an argument for Arcane Puppetry Lore, which has already been accepted as a magic subtype, and easily manipulates an /entire porcelain body/ with telekinesis from miles and miles away, instead of using just a hand.

Um, I don't know why you're making all this crap up but- I can tell you that you're wrong. All magic is free. Anyone can make a character that learns arcane puppetry. Under existing rules, I literally could not stop them if I wanted to.
