  1. Trust me when I say that I've really tried to contact Monkey on this- poor lad has up and left, though.
  2. This post is an extension of Arcane puppetry, found Here: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/111463-a/ Hopefully with this post, I can expand upon what this magic is capable of. A Fusion of Puppet and Audience- Partial Puppetry For a puppeteer, Control takes precedence over all else. By its very nature and function, the magic attracts patrons drawn to control, and encourages the desire to border on obsession. Whether it be a puppet, their own bodies, or even the bodies of those dear to them, a true puppeteer will be unsatisfied until they pull at the strings of all they know. The Mechanics Partial puppetry allows a puppeteer to use Arcane puppetry to link parts of a mannikin to themselves or others. Arcane Puppetry is based on Soul Puppetry, the magic of linking souls to mundane objects. An arcane puppeteer preforms the logical opposite of this. They link their own soul to their puppet in order to manipulate it with precision, from incredible distances away. For such a high level of control, there is a very notable tradeoff. A puppeteer must give up control of their body to control the body of a puppet. By extension, this means that a puppeteer must give up use of their eye in order to see through their puppet's eye, and give up control of a hand to control the puppet's hand, and so on and so forth. For an amputee, this is particularly easy, as they lack control of a specific part of their body to begin with. Using the soul-linking properties of Soul Puppetry, and the enchanting properties of arcane puppetry, It's possible to create a surrogate body part for those who need it. The enchanted limb moves as a normal limb would, and powers itself with mana drawn from the link to the amputee's soul. In order to maintain that strong connection, the amputee will be required to have the prosthetic on them at all times, lest the enchantment on the limb fade. Guidelines 1: The prosthetic body-part is extremely susceptible to arcane silencing- such as warding or Ac'Mali'Whatsit magic. 2: The prosthetic lacks any sense of touch. 3: Excessive use of the limb will tire the user significantly, as the limb drains mana to cope with the extra workload. 4: The limb, like all arcane puppets, must be made of porcelain, or a gemstone in the case of eyes. 5: The strength of the prosthetic limb cannot exceed that of a normal human arm with arcane puppetry alone. In normal conditions the prosthetic will always be slightly weaker than average. 6: Prosthetic arms must be made of solid porcelain, and any additional enchantments within the arm will disrupt the connection to the user's soul.
  3. Erm- correct me if I'm wrong, but ET creatures like apparitions, setherian-like demidieties, etc. they're very, very capable of illusioning fear. But besides that, yeah.
  4. Yes- they put themselves in a puppet. If they put themselves in a puppet permanently, unfortunately, it wouldn't work out. In the original puppet lore (link:https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/110600-) This was actually called the "Culminating achievement." It was once an intended use for puppet magic by Kalehart. I personally had to remove this section when revising the lore. The LM Jistuma left this comment about it.
  5. Arcane puppets can use magic (but it's much harder) and interact with others. It's like wearing a second skin- where noone can hurt you, not really. The only difference is with accepted puppet lore you have to return to your normal body at the end of the day.
  6. Note- there /is/ existing puppet magic, that works very similar to this magic. https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/111463-arcane-puppetry-revised/
  7. Sometimes, to feel like a vampire, I eat the caramel top of twix bars. Just the tip.

  8. I wanna see, one day, a plugin to limit what crazy ass logblock commands GMs can do. Being able to roll back a grief is one thing... Being able to roll back EVERYONE'S work at once is another.
  9. When can all this wonderfulness be put into effect?
  10. Yeah, but not restricting people means breaking lore. Only druids can make actual, pretty flowers. In essence, you can make magic totally free for everyone, or you can make it follow lore. You can't have both.
  11. Again, besides the obligatory "make a tree" spell, I don't know if there's any Druidic magic plugin spell that won't be totally reproducible by a conjuration mage. Most of the spells in it have it's effecting blocks revert to normal after the spell effect hits.

  13. AAAAACTUALLY.... That isn't entirely true. Conjuration is very capable of creating hellish void plants to grow and entangle people, on top of animals.
  14. He's probably referring to how PVP tends to take away RP- A bit badly, since this plugin doesn't /directly/ cause the server to become more Faction PVP.
  15. The only thing I find as bad is that it's based on meditating over land. Void don't work like that. Also what wardog said. If all the "PVP-Hungry human organizations" which I tend to usually "brazenly denounce" ever had a chance to show me that they're actually a little interested in RP, rather than PVP, it'd be now. I'm going to have fun seeing whether or not they suddenly accept all kinds of crazy magic into their ranks.
  16. /me wants this so bad. "So hows it going fellas? Is it just me, or are yall literally green with envy? Hue hue hue"
  17. Now that enchanting has been made a free magic- is there anywhere to get the enchanting patterns for the crafting equivalent?

  18. Heat map was and still is one of the most finely made plugins we ever implemented. Just... Don't let it interact with nexus regions. Those things are buggy.
