What can I really say about me....
Well for a start I am 37, I know I don’t really know how I got this....old. It only seems like yesterday I was scrabbling for school books, wondering where my PE kit was, and trying not to be late for class. Time really does seem to start zipping by the older and older you get.
I live in West Yorkshire, and I came to being a Mummy later than most as we had problems with the stork. For years we hoped and prayed, five years to be precise before science it’s self blessed us with out test tube miracle Jack. He’s three now, and we found out about twelve months ago that he is autistic. For that reason communication with him is difficult in the extreme, as he shows no interest at all in talking. Hence we have a lot of therapy, both out and visiting to help ease our small man into the world he was born.
Because of his condition, and the fact that he hates breaks in his routine I spend a great deal of time at home. It has to be said sometimes really longing for my bed. It’s strange when I was a child you couldn’t get me in there, now I am an adult, it’s hard to get me out of there. I like to role play, a lot, and not just the whole interaction with others, though I love that too. But the whole creative sideline as well, the writing, the sketching, really getting into the heart and mind of your character. When they start to come alive, when they begin to demand you TELL their story, for me there is a great deal of satisfaction in that.
I have to say I am at heart a big kid, I never grew out of toys and playing, and I suppose RP is an extension of that for me. When not RPing in some form or other I play a myriad of games, I love building games, it’s how I got into Mine Craft. I also spend a great deal of time in one form of artwork or another, it’s my pressure valve, and sometimes as a busy Mummy you need one.
It’s very nice to meet you all, and I really look forward to getting to role play with many of you soon, as well as making some new friends as that’s what I “REALLY” like!!
