  1. Starting this topic made me think of people yelling "YOURSTUPIDANDYOUKNOWNOTHINGBECAUSEEVOLUTIONISTHEBEST" and "YOURSTUPIDANDYOUKNOWNOTHINGBECAUSECREATIONISMISTHEBEST". Well,I'm suprised there hasn't been much yelling as I thought. Well done. *claps* Now to my thoughts. In order for evolution to exist, it requires "millions and billions of years". Frankly, the universe isn't that old to me. I would say that earth is no more than a few thousand years old.. why? Because it is. Before you yell at me, please read on. Carbon dating. Carbon dating is probably one of the most well-known forms or dating there is. Unfortunately, it's the only one most people have heard of. Let me tell you, there are many more forms of dating that are much more accurate. Why is carbon dating inaccurate? Because there is tons of guessing involved. For those that don't know, carbon dating involves seeing how old things are by looking at the half-lives of substances the break down after something dies, in this case carbon. Scientists look at all the C16s and the C8s and say, wow this thing is old! The problem is that most of the C16s already broke down to C8s and now the scientists must guess how many C16s there were originally. Perhaps there were C8s to begin with? They don't know. Carbon dating says 'millions of years' and the other techniques say 'a few thousand years'. Since millions of years is what evolution is based off of, and since millions of years didn't happen, I must draw a conclusion that evolution didn't happen. Not that it couldn't have happened, but that it didn't. Now let's look at creationism. It speaks of an all powerful deity (in most cases) that created the universe and everything in it. People say "We can't see this God you speak of!". Well, in the past we haven't seen lots of things. People used to think that the earth is flat, but it isn't. It's been proven to be quite round. In the Bible, nothing in it says that the earth is flat or everything revolves around us. Just because some figure poorly represents his faith, doesn't make it all false. Let's say a priest says: "Hey guys, the earth is flat." Well, his holy book doesn't say the earth is flat, he does. Therefore, you can't make assumptions like saying "the bible says the earth is flat" when a priest says it is. There goes most peoples' argument. For those who have more, I'll try to explain other things as well. People say "we've never seen nor detected God", I agree with them. We have not been able to detect God's physical existence as of yet, IF he does have a physical form. There are several 'existences' as I call it. There is physical existence, and metaphysical existence. Everything we see is bound by physical properties, including time and all of that other good stuff. But, perhaps there was a metaphysical realm? One unreachable by physical deeds but only reachable by metaphysical intervention. A being outside of time and 'physical' existence is quite possible. If people say "we can't see deities", well that's true. But is everything not visible false? Certainly not! We have reached many times in history where we thought we knew everything, but that has been proven untrue time and time again! Right when we thought we could invent no more, BAM electricity! We reached the same conclusion right before the computers and the internet. Perhaps next week scientists will discover a completely new substance that is found in everything, but was undetectable before. It almost blows our minds to think of what 'doesn't exist yet'. A simple example is 'Discovering a new color'. It's mind blowing, but not entirely impossible. (Ik the color example was bad, but you know what I mean.) The realm of the metaphysical might not be detectable now, but who knows? You ask for physical evidence, but one cannot find direct physical evidence for things outside of matter and time. There is much more to argue about, but here is a slice of it, enjoy~ P.S. If you want to pm me about what I find to be true, I'd be happy to talk about it. P.P.S. I realize some information I have may be misread or 'under-proven'. Please don't get too angry at me, I wrote this off of the top of my head. XP

  3. I personally liked the chest shops the best, and thought the item frames would be for fun, cosmetic reasons. Then again the frames could be put like they were items on shelves. It's interesting, but I'd definitely like a shop plugin again.

  5. th-Zit--aki Where there are dashes, there are unreadable spaces. It's unclear how many letters there are per space. Still, no idea what it is... If it's not English, then you suck because hardly any of us know many eastern languages. I don't know what those letters have to do with a water buffalo, but I'm sure it'll make sense soon. Speculation: Some sort of group, cult, guild- thing? It wouldn't be a new race... Whatever it is... I want in on it XD just because XD

  10. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Sentlit How old are you? 15 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Pacific Time/USA Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar? Yes, I do. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am mainly a student who spends most of his time studying, but when I have free time, I will go on the computer. In relevance to LOTC, I am quite comfortable with roleplay and enjoy it thoroughly. I have taken a few theater classes, so I should be more than sufficient at being a particular character. How much time could you be on the server weekly? I would be able to be on this server a minimum of 2 to 3 hours a week. Max time? I don’t know. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplay is where someone takes a certain character upon themselves, and acts and speaks as if they were the person who they are potraying. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any? The closest I have been to roleplay is acting in school-related classes. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is basically doing things that are unrealistic in physical possibility to your character. An example would be me asking for coordinates to a certain location or using other “out-of-game resources” in order to complete a certain task. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting is when someone “forces an action” upon someone else. An example of this is: “*Sentlit Jump-Kicks N00BR4NG3R in the face, knocking him out*” thus forcing ‘N00BR4NG3R’ to be both hit, and knocked out. The dialogue before would correctly be typed as: “*Sentlit attempts to Jump-Kick N00BR4NG3r in the face*” then ‘N00BR4NG3R’ would have the choice to be hit or not, as well as choosing if this knocks him out. In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is: Out of character is any action/speech that would come from one’s own decision and not the character that that person is portraying. In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is: In character is the opposite of Out of character in which one acts/speaks like a certain character rather than what the person would normally act/speak like. What do you expect this server will be like? I expect the server to be a fun, friendly community where there will be realistic roleplay. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them? I’ve played on a server called ElderCraft (originally ParaCraft), but unfortunately it couldn’t stay together and it shut down. I found another couple servers, PixelParty and The Daily Block, on which I still build things. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? Yes, I have, and I do. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and TeamSpeak set Rules: Yes, I do. How did you hear about us? I heard about you by a friend, but found your server’s ip and website by PlanetMinecraft. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application? Yes: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/64883-sentlits-whitelist-app/page__p__506870#entry506870 In-Character: Character Name: My name is Sentlit Vyrn, but some call me Sen or SenVyrn. What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) I’m a human. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race) I don’t have any sub-race. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.) I was born as a farmer’s child, to two proud parents. As soon as they saw me, they relished in their newly born sun. Not too long later, they also had two lovely daughters with hair as blonde as mine. As we grew up together, we would share chores and sometimes play around the old oak tree out back. Almost every day, my father would take the sheep out to feed, and take me along with him. One day when we were in the fields and a pack of wolves started to attack the sheep out in the field. When my father saw the wolves, He took out his bow and effortlessly shot every wolf that was there. As I saw the magnificent arrows in flight, I knew that I wanted to learn how to handle a bow, just as my father knows it. Every day, while out in the field, my father would teach me more and more about bows and arrows. As the days went on, I became increasingly talented using a bow, and would pick off wolves who threatened the herd of sheep every once and awhile. On my 15th birthday, however, my father thought it was about time that I would be able to watch the sheep myself. The first few days of sheep watching was uneventful, and the nights were tiring, but I often braced myself against my bow for rest. About a week after I was 15, a pack of wolves decided to stalk the sheep I was watching. When they ran from the woods toward the sheep, I was woken from sleep and saw the sheep being slaughtered! When I took out my bow, I was only able to pick off a few before the rest of the pack fled back into the forest. I felt much shame to bring back only half of the herd, but my father forgave me, and I swore to him it wouldn’t happen again. Sometime later, when I was 18, I came woke up in the night to the thick smell of smoke. Gasping for air, I ran outside to see bandits burning and raiding our poor, farming village. A bandit ran up to me, sword drawn, and I prepared to meet my maker. Suddenly I saw an arrow fly from the woods and the bandit lay dead at my feet. A hooded man jumped from the wood and said “Oi! Get down, kid!” So I kneeled down behind a barrel and watched as he and another group of hooded men dispatched every last bandit left standing. Once finished, they jumped back into the woods and disappeared into the night. The next day was soot and ash. My family was fine, except one of my sisters had a few burns. We spent the next week clearing all of the soot and found that our livelihood was all gone. Our crops were smashed, our house burned and our animals scattered. My father took ahold of my shoulder and said “We’ll be fine, son. But I need you to do something for me. I’ve seen your skill with a bow, but I don’t think you need to defend our sheep anymore”. He paused for a short laugh, but behind it was a mixture of pain and longing. “I don’t want to see you grow up and die on this farm like I will. I want to you leave, and find your own life. I want you to do something noble, I want you to make something of your life, unlike me. Those… rangers last night… They protected our people. They didn’t even know us, but they risked their lives for us, and they asked for nothing in return. That, my son, is noble. I want you to be like them, but don’t forget who you want to be. Go, son. I’ve kept you here long enough. Take this money and live your own life”. He then handed me a small pouch of coins, and my family sent me off. As I walked up the road towards town, my mother shouted to me “For the love of Aeriel, be safe!” I then turned to her and shouted back “Don’t worry, I brought my bow!” And I departed. I wished to go to Dunwood, to help protect the herds there, but before I arrived, night started to descend. Then, I heard footsteps behind me. A thick accented voice behind me said “’ello. Wut seems ya’ ta’ be carrien’ ta’day?” I turned around and replied “What?” “It’s not any ‘ard question! Jus’ gev me yer money!” “No!” “I didn’t want ‘a git so rough wit’ ya, but ya gev me no choice!” He then drew his axe, so I drew my bow. He said “Ooo, yer gunna fight me wit’ that little stick, ah? Prepare yarself to me’t ya makar!” As he swung I let loose an arrow into his arm and he dropped his axe. “Ow! Blimey! Yer quite a feisty lad aren’t ya? Alright jus’ leave Yer prolleh not wort’ it anyweigh.” He picked up his axe with his uninjured hand and said “Begone wit’ ya!” So I departed quickly into Dunwood and slept in the fields in the night. As I lay down and looked at the stars, I began to think. ‘What was I doing? I could’ve killed that man! I’ve only ever killed beasts… But it was self-defense… But… what separates that man from a beast, anyway? Men like him need to be shown the consequences for their actions! Those men are beasts! There is no difference between them or any wolf! I know I must defend people so nobly as those rangers.’ And as my thoughts progressed, I thought of what I could do. ‘I could be a guard. I could be a mercenary. I could assassinate evil people. I could just defend cattle as I first thought… I could become part of those rangers myself… but I can’t handle a bow like they… But I’m willing to learn! But how to contact them? Before I start…’ And thoughts like these continued into the night until I finally fell asleep. I woke up the next day to a farmer who yelled to me “Hey! You must’ve had quite a drink last night, eh tall stranger!” The Halfling approached me and said “The drink around here isn’t for folk like you. You should’ve tried the weaker ales!” Amused, he laughed at his own jokes. I replied “No, no. I just came into town last night. Do you know of any place where I might find mercenary work? I need some money in order to find something…” “Ah, I don’t know. But we around here are a peaceful folk, you’d have better luck elsewhere. Sorry for your trouble”. “Alright” And I let out a sigh. “Off to the next town… wherever that may be...” At that point I had traveled farther than I ever had from our little farm community. Every once and awhile I’d chase a stray sheep a mile or so from our village, but never had I seen such a place like Dunwood. All I had ever seen was forested wilderness next to our farm fields along with our village. Needless to say I’m a lost traveler, following roads into various towns looking to be a bodyguard of a sort and searching for the Ranger’s Guild. I’m happy to travel, but I need to do something noble. I need to be counted among the Rangers! What are your Character's ambitions? I wish to protect people and be nobly counted among the Rangers! I wish to fight off anyone or anything who wants to hurt the innocent, commonfolk! I also wish to make something of my life and share my life's noble adventures with my family back home one day. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc) My favorite tool would be the bow. It is deadly accurate, and works wonderfully from a distance. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? I am talented at using a bow and arrows, but nowhere near as well as those from the Ranger’s Guild. I am willing to learn how to handle a bow better than I already do. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: Other Information about your Character: I am terrible at any sort of close combat and prefer to dispatch enemies from a distance. I have somewhat a sense of wishing to make my father proud, and constantly think of what the noble and heroic thing is to do. I have a rather large sense of justice as well. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would approach the Halfling and the warriors and see what is happening. If it there is injustice, I would attempt to fly arrows into the arms of the assailants, unless they meant to kill me and the Halfling. If they mean to kill, I wouldn’t hesitate to try to kill such beasts that they are. As the warriors focus on me, I would tell the Halfling to run back to town. Hopefully, if I’m not killed by the warriors, I’d try to at least disable the warriors and be hastily on my way. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well-dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? “Nothing much. Do you sell arrows? And could you possibly point me to a tavern? I need a place to find information.” I would purchase arrows and head to the tavern to see if anyone needed mercenary work for protection, or if anyone knew where I could find the Ranger’s Guild. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond? I would tell myself what the noble thing to do is. ‘Would my father look down on me to take anything? Technically it isn’t theft, but what if someone still lived here and they were out for the day? It would be best for me to pass it by.’ And I would leave everything where it is. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, and how do you respond? “Friend, is there anywhere nearby where I might find a tavern, which also perhaps sells food?” I would thank them for their response. As I leave the man, I would continue to check my back; these traders look a bit shady. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guards have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offers their support. How does your character act on this information? I wouldn’t hesitate to join the party. No matter what the reward is, these dogs need to know justice! I would join them, and in doing so, help protect the town. My father would smile upon these actions, so I would proceed to ask the Captain of the Guard where I may be situated. I would say “Captain, I have a good bow and plenty of arrows to defend this town. Where may I help and where may these bandits be?” I would then proceed with The Guard to fight off these bandits, hopefully avoiding death, so I may share this adventure with my family one day, and I may see our farm back to where it used to be. Anything else you would like to say? There is nothing more to be said.

This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.) I stand at about 6ft. tall, have medium-blonde hair, and commonly wear gray clothing. I am currently 18 years old. I am extremely strong-willed but under too much tension, my will could snap and I could perform irrational actions that I later would come to regret. Since I was a child I have suffered from slight memory issues. This was due to a head injury that I received after accidentally falling off of a roof. I grew up as a shepherd, and often took care of the animals at my parents’ farm. I am skilled at taking care of animals and defending them from creatures and people who wish to harm them. I recently had left my family behind to live my own life, and began to wander from town to town. I then heard about a college that teaches people about magic. I feel like magic and I are almost connected, as if it runs in my blood, so I began to seek the college. On my journey I’ve been running short of money and supplies, and now my goal to find and master magic seems dim…. What are your Character's ambitions? I aspire to reach the Mage’s College somehow, and master Magic in order to make something of my life. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc) I see the bow as a wonderful tool, which I may use to defend myself (and in the past, my animals) from a distance, as well as using it in other ways (such as leaning against, as a lever to lift rocks, a bar to tie things to for easier transport, among other things) What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? I am skilled in fighting monsters, bandits, and other creatures that might harm me or my animals using a bow. I’m also decent at navigating through harsh terrain. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would probably do nothing. It would be unwise for me to get into business that isn’t mine. These warriors would probably kill me if I interviened. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond? I would take the sword to the market and sell it for money, but leave the ingots, because they would weigh me down too much. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, and how do you respond? I would pull out my money pouch, offering money to anyone who could give me food. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guards have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offers their support.
