  1. I enjoy this idea, but the only thing that urks me, the only thing, is the unlimited lifespan. People might be motivated to get the parasite for unlimited life rather than to create good RP. Maybe change it to 'adds 50 years at most' or something, rather than limitless life. Other than that, I like the idea.
  2. Aww, I liked using italics :P Oh well, time for a new color
  3. I agree with this completely :D And I'm excited for what is to come!
  4. In the past, Kalenz has made other great lores, and today he makes another. This would generate great RP as the ET or the GM who plays it have been known for being fair with the gift of power. I foresee no bad coming from this, and it adds a minor antagonist to most people. I say, accept it +1
  5. Cyrus reads one of the messages hung about Malinor, and his face pales. "W...we're not done?" Turns quickly, and heads toward Ac'talareh with a swift pace, his hands shaking by his sides.
  6. The clanging of metal fills Cyrus' ears for so long, he feels as if he had heard no other noise. Pops, bangs, and other noises fill different chambers as novice mages try to perfect their craft. His hands shake in anticipation. 'Will I lose my life? What will become of my brethren?' among other thoughts fill his mind. He finds it even hard to manage such simple thoughts with the noise of preparation filling the halls of Ac'talareh. He has finally had enough. Cyrus strides quickly, with his head hanging down out of the pass, toward the sea nearby. In the starry night, he looks out at the moon's reflection upon the water, the noises more distant. The snow had cleared where he was. His ears seem to ring still with the sounds, and he continues further from the pass. Nothing passes through his mind as he wanders further along the edge of the water until the sound of the water lapping along the shore was louder then the clanging of metal and popping of spells. Cyrus finds a tree and sits down at its feet. Finally alone. He peers across the water and up to the starry night, a fresh snow in a circle around the tree. Through the crisp, clear, cold air, he connects the stars in the constellations his dear old teacher had shown him long ago. He feared no cold, for it was a lovely night. Breathing in the sweet air around him, he leans further back, far away from the troubles that would begin to plague him in only a few elven days. But for now, he is at peace.
  7. *Cyrus looks around to see if anyone is nearby and waits until there are none. He then quickly pins up a note in reply underneath.* "It is a good thing that the Delvers do not contradict any of the statements given, as they seek to bring peace and order to this madness. Do not be fooled by exterior appearance, but be enlightened by interior motive and further encouraged by the bright future. Our future is one of the people, one that will be established by the Delvers. ~Anonymous" *Cyrus looks back and forth again to see if anyone had seen him, then briskly steps away.*
  8. *Cyrus peers over the notice with widening eyes.* "By the Gods..." *He seems to want to say more, but is stunned by the news. Cyrus turns and swiftly walks back toward Ac'talareh with his hands shaking nervously.*
  9. Quiero ayudarte en este proyecto. :) No puedo hablar español /tan/ bien que otros personas porque soy estadounidense y solamente hablo español en clases de español. :3 Pero... espero que me das permiso ayudarte todavía. (I want to help you in this project! :) I cannot speak Spanish as well as other people because I'm American and I only speak Spanish in Spanish classes. :3 But... I hope that you still give me permission to help you.)
  10. This mandate has been greatly needed. I must thank the staff for taking this appropriate action.
  11. This text 'enhance'... It bothers me... Now ads are literally everywhere :P

  12. *Cyrus approaches the poster, and furrows his eyebrows at the interesting 'drawing' by the farmer and the other responses. He writes near the bottom of the paper, using his own quill:* 'This is up to the reader's interpretation. A person with corrupt morals will put a different response than a holy man. It is ridiculous to try and find "guidelines" to morals unless there is a supreme being who demands such. I certainly hope you who are reading this poster to not take any response upon this poster as completely true.' *Finishing his large, illustrious letters with a last stroke, he nods once and walks away.*
  13. *The sparrow returns bearing a message* Dear old friend, It has been awhile since we have met, and hopefully we may do so again. Search for our base in the town Kastoria in dwarves lands. You should easily find it branching off of the main dwarves road before you reach the snow. Then, simply follow the road north for a ways and you see a tent camp surrounded by walls made of logs. Circumnavigate the walls until you see our stone walls and large tower. Come at your leisure. ~Cyrus
  14. ((I must say, this thread is a success for the people of Malinor and will greatly improve the quality of life for all)) *Cyrus approaches the notice* Gods, this is like the chickens of Elysium.
  15. I do not think your character suddenly gains the ability to lockpick... you'd just be able to without a VA. ICly it doesn't make much sense unless you happen to be a locksmith or only lockpick in the wilderness. You would need experience, but this ISN'T granting lockpicking experience to anyone.
  16. I personally think this is great. My only complaint: that you stopped there :P I'd like you to add more entries, but I guess I'll have to be content with this. Also.. this helps set alchemists apart individually as a specific part of the RP, which is always a good thing. Overall good addition to the server. :D good job
  17. MC Name: Sentlit Character Name: Lorenzo Nicodemo (Gatto) Age: ((Not sure. Young adult by now)) Race: Human Skype: ((You've already got it)) Weapon of Choice: Throwing knives and a sling Short Biography (2-5 sentences) or Ambitions: Lorenzo has always been close to his father and his other relatives. Ever since birth, he has had a lifelong friend that lives in a distant land. He swore to marry her, but his father insisted that they would move to Asulon. Promising return, Lorenzo obeyed his father and started a business there. Soon, the land was reclaimed and they lost everything that they had, and a seed of bitterness was planted within him. To get back on their feet, his father convinced lighthearted Lorenzo to come with him and embark on small thieving operations. He always treasured life, and was not one to harm, but he wanted to make his father proud and always went along. Since this time, he has obeyed his father constantly, no matter what it was, the seed of bitterness growing malignantly. Lorenzo's frustrations only grew as he began to realize that he would never see his sweetheart again. He only keeps this bitterness inside of him, bottled up to the world, so that not even his father knows. His disposition may seem happy, but he is not quite the naiive young boy that people used to know. He is more purposeful and thoughtful, yet still putting up a front of silliness. VA besides 1a, 3, 4a/b (recommended but not required): ((I do not have one yet. I'm working on it.)) Edit: ((Oh, sorry. I thought you said 2-3 paragraphs, not sentences :P))
  18. *Cyrus gets up slowly, wiping his eyes from a very deep and needed sleep. Still in a groggy state he mumbles:* "Marked for death..? Right... I'll consider that if I meet him..." *He then wearily sits back down and quickly falls to sleep again, exhausted from his long studies.*
  19. Don't forget to vote for the server!

  20. One of the main reasons I like the new forums is lack of lag. The ads no longer detract from the speed of scrolling or responsiveness when clicking. :)

  21. ((Lovely. The music fit perfectly (not to mention being from an amazing series), and I rather enjoyed reading this. I do not know this character, but still, well done. :3))
  22. Cyrus looks down at the notice, his dark hair casting a shadow over his face. In the fading light, his mouth is the only things visible, and the little color he has drains from his face and his eyes' color dull. He quietly mumbles to himself: "How becoming of the Valah... I expected nothing more... My Mali brethren weep tonight." Cyrus' face remains expressionless, though his distaste for the Humans begins to grow to hatred, a small fire that is only kindled by his darkened thoughts. 'Why do they kill our kind?!... we've done nothing to them! I-I...' Cyrus catches himself in his rage and takes a breath. He recomposes himself to a taller posture, and returns to his home to calm his nerves with a warm beverage. All the way, his hair casts a dark shadow over his face.
