  1. Whoorarrrrr haha. A very interesting creature, although for legal reasons I must ask how much of this is inspiration, as opposed to a copy and paste?
  2. A good piece, I especially enjoy the illusion to teach. A few things though. Why would they have a prophet, if all Keepers may communicate with Xan? Doesn't seem like a feasible title. Maybe as leader of the order, not as a real prophet since all technically are. I was under the impression that Xan's power destroyed the soul, not the physical body. That would require a constant healing on a Keeper, although I see that you've said clearly that their body structure eventually morphs into golden ichor. Maybe Divine Travel is a little too straightforward. How does [Open the Waygate] sound? Also I would prefer if the method required some form or material for preparation, instead of just relying solely on the Keeper's power. I would like to make it a bit more of an effort to travel to a Aengul's realm, ensuring as well the creation of a chancery to be that much more significant. Not too sure why Mists cant be regarded as a combat utility tool, as its basically illusions although perhaps not as powerful as arcane ones. There's nothing to limit it I believe.
  3. Habitat update!

  4. A quick update because I've been super busy with life and stuff, but I edited the main page! Removed the concept of caretakers, now just pm any ET/LT/GM and it'll do ^^ So I'm finally done with the Haelunor build! I call it the Amberwoods because of a plant known as the blazing fern, which gives off the illusion that the forest is set ablaze. Here are some snapshots of it! And @The Pink Lion's favourite (and also mine) BEAVERS
  5. Due to the lack of visible interest in the idea and the lack of caretakers, this request will be put on hold until the three other criteria are fulfilled.
  6. Accepted, although I would have preferred to have an actual picture haha. Feel free to update the form anytime. Haelunor progress, 50%
  7. Update: Thanks to Murlocs for pointing out there actually is no form to apply for a habitat haha
  8. Accepted I'd like to see how one would describe this creature before marking it Double accepted alongside the Flower of Crystal
  9. I can appreciate the lore possibilities to having a 'River of Nightmare' possibility, but maybe you could tweak the mushroom or add more uses to it since hallucinogenic mushrooms are a cliche (we have uruk's shroom for example). Denied. If you want to tweak it, just make a new response please! PS: Also for the sake of adding the same pictures to the wiki, we actually do need a link/owner of the picture.
  10. As of right now all plants have been imported from the old plant index! The wiki does need a lot of work, but hopefully I'll eventually be able to come around to do it ^^
  11. Announcement We're currently importing a bunch of accepted pages from the old thread, so do bear with us for a moment if your plant isn't on the list~! This is the old thread:
  12. Moved to the Archive. If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
  13. The Plant Index Listed below are all of the creatures present in the Lord of the Craft universe, including their usage and descriptions. This has been made to cut down on the numerous plant lore posts where instead they can all be harbored here. The application for new plants are at the bottom. Post your application as a reply to this topic. "LM Approval" refers to a player requiring the exact consent of a Lore Master in order to interact with a given plant. The majority of the time the answer will be yes, this is more so used to monitor and control their usage. This is a warning. Do not add or edit things to your post without approval! Desert Mountains Jungles Forest Tundra/Boreal Sea/Lake Swamplands Caverns Plants that do not fit in any 'regular' habitat New submission format: Application for new plants Care to add to the already expansive list of flora available to the public of LotC? Well, here is how! Fill out the below application upon the post and you’ll receive either a ‘Yes’ or a ‘No’. Do not expect a vivid explanation as to why it was denied should that be the case, this process is designed to be quick and easy without cluttering up the already present lore forum. Nevertheless, enjoy!

  15. Yeap! Anyone can make one, but the prerequisites still apply. You can apply for it under MAPA currently run by @Calioos aka Shadowedoblivion, and be given LC to work on your zone. But I must repeat myself that even though you may make it, you are not entitled to 'own' it. Its like building roads, and handing it back to the server, so everyone can use it.
  16. I dont think its reasonable to say the berries are locked into the Saosiste culture. Its a berry, they'll grow with or without human intervention. Also we have lots of 'healing' plants already, so I'm going to have to deny that unless it performs a very specific type of treatment. Denied [!] The plant index is going to get a makeover soon, so please hold on submissions while I move it all to a new thread.
  17. Well I dont see why not, I could have veins of ore that would function the same way as the herbs. A little quarry out within the habitat to make it convenient.
  18. Hello LOTC, this is shimmeringbliss coming to you with a brand new LM initiative! Its spear headed by myself, and several ET actors whom I dub caretakers. Since taking over the creature index a month ago, what I really wanted to do was create a 'nature zone' in which players will always find themselves with consistent interactable rp with the environment, instead of getting lucky to ride on an event ^^;; Current habitats in existence 1) Darkbloom forest, South of Linandria 2) Wrun Woods, East of the snow elven city 3) Amberwoods, East of Haelun'or Darkbloom Forest Wrun Woods Amberwoods So what is an interactive environment or a nature zone, you might ask? Well to put it simply, the habitats were designed to be alive, and represent the creature and plant index, in which the players write submissions to have more variety of flora and fauna into our world. You can expect unique creature events in these areas, such as Morko bear patrols, or Amber wolf attacks in the Darkbloom Forest (Courtesy of your friendly neighborhood ET)! The plants in both pictures can be found on the plant index, and can be [Harvested]. [Harvesting] is a mini game in which you must guess the plant's identity based on the appearance, location, and physical description of the plant. Any sign that has a [What am I?] on the plant means that its harvestable! You are given two guesses, but do visit our plant index in the lore submission forum to increase your chances of getting the herb ^^. To interact with the plant, you simply need to pm our ET/LT for assistance! (These herbs are for rp mostly, and cant interact with nexus) The main goal behind this program is to get people interested in the world-building lore that our players submit, to really make use of the great material that the players submit all the time. I'm hoping that characters visiting will take the time to appreciate the various plants and occasional animal that inhabit our world! Hopefully these habitat programs will cause your character to go travelling and meeting other characters! In total, I have planted over 15 unique plants to be harvested, and some plants can be found in other habitats due to the nature of the plants adaptability. Shadowedoblivion being a know-it-all here while everyone else helplessly guessed what this plant was >.> SALMON Pastry and Bunyyyyyyyyyyy To players interested in roleplaying in these habitats: 1) You need to contact a ET/LT about wanting to rp in ___ habitat 2) Remember its an rp environment, things might not go smoothly! 3) To gather the plants, you'll need to guess the plants correctly. Harvestable plants all have a sign saying [What am I?] 4) Yes you can use the plant index right here :P 5) Have fun! Current habitats in existence 1) Darkbloom forest, South of Linandria 2) Wrun Woods, East of the snow elven city 3) Amberwoods, East of Haelun'or To various faction leaders: As some of the leaders know, I have been going around talking to major player factions if they were interested in having an interactive environment near their settlements. If you are interested, you must first meet and agree to two prerequisites before talking to the LT. 1) Being supportive, and allowing all players to interact with said environment. This is not for any personal gain of the faction, but rather a 'natural habitat' that exists outside of the faction's influence. So no guard towers, walls, or houses. (Not even druid groves). No monopoly. 2) Fully agreeing that the region created over the habitat will ultimately belong to the server, meaning it is unconquerable, and is subject to changes from events. Current habitat wait list 1) Dwarves 2) Haria 3) Westerlands Form to apply for the creation of a habitat
  19. The LT is not really interested in taking on creatures that are too similar to existing creatures, the dusk leopard basically being a leopard, as we follow the rule of 'if it exists IRL, it exists in LOTC', so things like tigers, lions dont need lore. Denied.
