  1. What was your favorite creature to RP as in an event? I want to hear from lots of ET's on this one! :P
  2. Congratulations me for ET...... who am I kidding, no body checks my ET app XD

  3. Cant remember, do raid rules apply to rescue missions? I think they do, and if they don't they should.......

    1. Octavion

      Octavion

Agreed. My group was attacked by a group of 7, claiming it was a rescue mission so raid rules don't apply. Quite silly, if you ask me.

      Aelu / Rel (Combustionary)

I THINk it's only different in that it counts as provoked, like a guy not needing a va to try and save his wife from some slavers. Not entirely sure, though. Dont quote me on this.

I personnaly think it should apply to raid rules, I have been in the 20 man party to save someone before and we steam rolled them, it wasn't fun at all. It makes zero sense for raid rules to just not apply anymore like that :/

  4. *A letter is sent back to king William Horen* I apologize for the confusion, but the letter does describe them. These so called "God Men" are other worldly beings present in our world, a very affront to the true gods. It is not known the exact extent of there power but they have vast extents of knowledge at there disposal. Seemingly able to produce magical artifacts and fantastical works from mere nothinging-ness. They refuse to share there knowledge and power to help any of the nations, even refusing to take part against the threat of the north. What little we know about them is that they draw strength from some un-holy source know only to us as "The Forth Wall." The gods command us close this "Forth Wall" and restore order to our realm. *The courier stands ready to deliver any further reply from the king of Oren*
  5. *A message is sent out to all the allies and vassals of the grand kingdom* The dwarves are Marching to war on the god men. In one elven week it is requested that all allies and vassals present their armys to aid against the heretical god men. Join the fight and take down these false creatures in the name of the true gods! It is requested you message the king and lords of the dwarves ((Feel free to PM me)) of the forces you are to bring and planning will begin for the battle. *The rest of the letter details the time and location* ((GM village warclaim is finally getting organized. Time requested: 10pm GMT Date requested: Saturday the 17th of August Confirmation from the GM representitive on these times is requested to be PM'ed to me or posted on the thread))
  6. *A crowd gathers in the city of Kal'Azgoth, many dwarves and some of from other races are present to hear what is going to be said. From the grand halls a dwarf emerges, donning gleaming armor and a jet black war axe he move to address the crowd.* ((Written in normal speech for easier read)) I welcome you all here today, to hear what I have come to tell. First I shall introduce myself, I am Dizzy Irongrinder. Many things of happened as of late, some good some bad. Regardless of what happens the dwarves continue to prosper, to thrive. However one such bad thing that has happened, the fall of now ex-lord Gorum Frostbeard, the tragedy of this year has struck close to us. With the lose of another lord and the injury of a close friend deliberations where held and decisions where made. *He pauses to let the crowd settle, whispering voices abound through the throng for a while before quieting down* I have called you here today to tell you what has come of those deliberations. The king and lords give there best wishes to Gorum Frostbeard and have now chosen a new lord. *He pauses once more as the crowd begins to mutter and whisper hushed words to one an other* I am happy to announce my appointment to the position of lord! May the Brathmordakin watch over us all! *He smiles over the crowd as they begin to cheer. He sets some dwarves to hand out some ale to the crowd for the occasion*
  7. ((It makes plenty of sense. If you are making a small tactical attack on a nation you don't strike at some un-used castle off in the distance you go straight to the heart. As Bucky says above it is possible, and it is most likely to be on the main castle. It is the easiest to get to, the seat of power, the most wealthy as far as we know etc. The warclaim is sound, all the adunians have to do is accept or deny it.))
  8. Thank you for your reply's, I request that all further reply's are to be PM'ed to me to avoid meta gaming.
  9. ((I believe that they are allowed, the adunians just have to accept the warclaim.))
  10. *All the delvers present are called to the main room, confused as to what why. As they enter the room all they see is Dizzy standing by himself looking rather tired. As they enter hushed questions and chatter are passed from one an other until finally the dwarf clears his throat and begins to address them* ((Written in plain speech for easier read)) “You are probably all wondering why you are gathered here today....... I will tell you why. It has come to my attention that there are some clear problems within the delvers, and as of this moment and I aim to fix that. Now you must here me out, some of this may be difficult to come to terms with but it must be addressed. Firstly, there is some.... discontent within the guild, I can see it on faces, in actions, hear it in voices, even feel it around me. If you are malcontent with something or someone in the guild please bring it forth, we try our best but we cant change if you do not tell us what needs changing. Next, we have things that DO need change that I can see now without help. We accept many into the guild, even some who seem not fit as we are not so much a guild, but a family. What some see as rejects we take in hoping to find there true potential, and so we are wrong for doing this? We are a family, we accept many, we wish only to protect and nurture those who are in need of it. You may not agree with me on this but what I say is true, our leadership is not what it should be. We have many regents who are content to let the few meddle with the politics and affairs that keep our newly founded Magestate alive. Those very same regents allow the few to uphold and drive the guild forward, only stepping in when they so choose. There inactivity and down right laziness is shameful, to allow the few to put themselves into the state that they are in now. Look over, see Art, the man who has brought many of you here and upheld the guild. See how haggard and weary he is, the weight of the guild on his shoulders! See Nienna, the woman who has been through so much yet given so little in the end! Look at those two and tell me that you have done them no wrong. Do not sit back and let the weight of the guild drive them into the ground, help them carry the it! Should these regents sit back and continue to do nothing I will have no choice but to move for there removal and replacement with more trustworthy members. Here is the part that you may not accept, but yes, even Polgrath is not acting as he should. He leaves at mysterious times and lets Art and Nienna govern in his stead. I have seen more work from the two of them then I could ever imagine Polgrath doing, yet he acts with more authority then them and often without consulting anyone. It is true he may be the leader of the guild, but even a king can be wrong, even a king can have poor judgement! When I see others leaving all the work on the shoulders of those two, I am sickened. They put there very life and soul into upholding this guild, nae, this family, and with what return? I shall tell you. For others to treat them as if they are trying to usurp the guild! They work till there hands bleed and there skin cracks, and in return they motives are questioned? They sustain the livelihoods of many, for nothing, and they are some how wrong. If you believe they take authority to much into there own hands then change that! Do not take it from them, instead support them with that! Do what must be done! If the ones currently in charge are content to let Art and Nienna work themselves to death and then discard them when they are run dry then what kind of leaders be they? In closing, this is not a guild, but a family. I ask you, look into yourselves and see what must be done. Do not let the many stand on the shoulders of the few and wonder why the tower collapses. Nae. Let all support it, to grow and support this family. Show those who have been stood upon without complaint for so long that you appreciate it! If you see me as wrong so be it. But I depart with this...... We are a family that would like nothing more then for you to the person you where meant to be. Help us as we try to help you. *Dizzy finishes his speech and leaves the room quietly, leaving nothing behind but the fleeting noise of his clanking armor*
  11. Accepted Should you require additional directions contact one of the regents.
  12. I don't like this idea....................
  13. Though the group was small, the war cries that followed echoed throughout the dwarven mountains, causing a few moments of shock within the marching legion. And with this pause in the echo of the march, it was then that the Application Team knew that the GM's would prevail. I may be wrong on this but this is a completely RP claim, the APP team has no RP standing. The GM's have the GM village and characters inside said village that can defend it, no other staff team has any physical RP presence as there team. You can help them on your characters of course but....... You cant claim your team to do it. This does not mean I agree with the war claim one way or another but I just had throw that out there....
  14. The Akvel Who we are The King's Guard, or Da Thrummaz'th Akvel as it is spoken in the old tongue, is an organization who pledge their lives to the safety of the king, and to bringing justice to anyone who dare defies him. Little is known to the public about them because all of the members' identities must remain secret. They are obliged to don the official black plate of the dwarven Akvel, and wear their unique helms at all times. There are only seven Akvel at a time. What little the public knows of them is mired in rumor and storys, adding to the mystique around the group. What is known is that not many people that are not many in the Akvel that are not dwarves. The few ever recorded to be in the Akvel that have not been dwarves have likely proven themselves as some of the most loyal persons to the king What we do Accept for protecting the king, the kingsguard is responsible for executions, interrogations, arrests, and other classified tasks (including clandestine tasks). They are also responsible for rooting out corruption in the government, and have the power to arrest corrupted officials. Initiation Initiation into the Akvel is harder than it seems. The kingsguard soldiers are trained professionals that can wield any weapon, do not feel pain, and have no mercy. They train from the day of their choosing to the final day of their initiation and continue doing so until they are released of service. Such training routines include hours of training at their chosen weapon, swimming in ice lakes naked, and climbing up and down the Azgoth mountains until told to stop. At the end of their training, an initiate of the kingsguard must duel with another initiate using only crude weapons a brutal fight to near death.. The survivor becomes a sworn brother, and dons the black plate of the guard while the loser is cast out of the order, stripped of all holdings in the land. Those who fail at obeying commands have a harsh fate, they are flogged for every day of their training by another initiate. This forces them to become battle hardened and fiercely loyal members that know nothing but to serve. By the end of their training an Akvel serves the king so loyally close to nothing will make them consider betraying him. The Making of a King's Justice The King's Justice is the brother of the kingsguard that comes out the most talented of them all. This person is chosen to lead the kingsguard, making more war machines like himself. This merciless thing is also chosen to do the king's dirty work, such as executions, assassinations and the like. All Akvel are to report to the kings justice of any and all activities and will be assigned duties by the king or the kings justice. For another kings justice to be chosen there is a symbolic ceremony with the passing of the axe of the kings justice “Judgement” from the previous kings justice, or the king, to the next. The kings justice has the right to arrest any person inside the kingdom and preform an actions they deem necessary. They also have the ability to be present at all kings council meetings and lords meetings, both as a guard and to represent the kings interests should he be away. Obligations Da Drakna Akvel will be obliged to: Protect the king at all times Put the life of the king over the life of other citizens, Lords, other duties. Perform Clandestine Operations which are defined as an operation that is intended to be carried out in such a way that the operation goes unnoticed by the general population. Perform Covert Operations which are defined as operations performed to complete objectives without any parties knowing who sponsored or carried out the operation. Perform Black Operations which are defined as any Clandestine Operation that is outside standard military protocol. Keep their identities hidden from those who are not the following: The King, Grand Marshal, King’s Justice, and other Drakna Akvel. If their identities become known to the public they will be immediately disavowed. Interrogations ((VA permitting)) Perform executions Eliminate corruption Protect one or several of the Lords as a secondary objective to protecting the king. Protect ANYONE by request of the King. Immediately protect all of the Lords in the event of death or peril coming to the king. Arrest any official or citizen that is charged with treason. Arrest any noble that is charged with corruption. Carry out an order regardless of the consequences. ((Have a Villain Application for 2a. 1a, 1b, 1c, 2b, and 2c are not required, just recommended.)) Bring justice to the realm of Urguan in general.
