I've been here for about three years under this account now - my old one was lost to time and the mind of an eleven year old.

I originally signed up in June of 2011 under a different account, and later in 2013, after forgetting my old MC info.

Thanks for eternally ******* my sleep schedule, bringing me new pals, and giving me a great opportunity to expand upon my writing ability, LoTC!

anyway yeah i didnt see the emotes like that. was almost like summoning voidal magic rather than meditating or any palm movements. was far different from that

anyway from my experience with soulfire it ate away at my body and was described as using my soul as fuel to burn it. Which means when it starts, it continues to spread and doesn't need more soulfire to feed the process because more of it is being created and replacing my body until I perish. according to my other sources from what others have experienced with soulfire, a bit of it can kill something like a paleknight by coming into contact with it -- not continuous, but also using their body as fuel and eating away at them until they die

 

Anyhow, it was three emotes, two to prepare and one to cast, and pretty much after that little contact and the stream ended only shortly after I was basically finished

Less rude AF and more frustrated that someone who doesn't understand Ascended lore is proposing to remove it in its entirety.

Also, that all sounds like a improper use of soulfire. I'd message Jallentime with any reports of such.

The point is, you're supposed to meditate > cup palm > summon fire into said palm > shoot that stuff. At least, that's how I was taught to.

Let's think about this, right?

When fighting something/someone, for what reason would an Ascended cast more than a simple little whisp of candle-light to 

"O M E G A  O N E  S H O T   C A N D L E"

a wight.

Believe it or not, we have to learn spells such as concentrating soulfire into bigger flames, and even have an entire sect dedicated to mastering the art of soulfire. 

You have it backwards, the more tainted the creature, the more soulfire needed to kill it.

Also, literally anyone can pick up a golden sword. Why does it matter that the person doing it also has the ability to summon holy fire?

I mean, it's not like we have Liches and Wraiths running around with swords or anything too.

basically if it were up to me Ascended would stop at Aegis. 1.0. No more of em after that. Any Ascended could instead take up the mantle of paladin or cleric if they liked holy stuff.

I agree. It seems a bit too easy to PG as a one man army with the elemental at your side. It'd be better to have a separate player dedicating to knowing the exact red-lines.
