Again this is meant to be a discussion, not a unilateral decision made by the attackers or defenders. And now you are even taking back the timings we had spoken of previously where there was compromise.

As for accusations (???) on DrunkFailure, they were words exchanged and we kept our side of the bargain, not recruiting any allies to fight. If you wish to remove that custom rule we made, It’s your choice and I honestly don’t see how it would benefits Elysium.

You had a 1 week notice, which is what is required, we attack, we choose the warclaim date. We tried to make it better for you, thinking of ways for most your community to participate to the first warclaim, but I felt like talking to a brick wall.

 

If some of your guys and girls can’t come to the first warclaim, don’t worry, they can have some clicks in the nexts.

 

You are free to choose the starting time of the warclaim, be it either 3 pm est or 4 pm est (on the 24th of april of course).

Your answers to Drunkfailure was vague and a distinctive answer was not given on agreeing on allies. Obtaining his permission to post, I would say its ooc disinformation on the player to claim he is lying to you unless you accept 'Hmmm' as your form of agreement. 



After spring/easter break is a extensive finals and coursework for people already so its an concurrent issue and it is not an unreasonable request for me to be asking for the warclaim to be held on Week 5 of April when the offensive was posted on Week 3 of April.  There is a precedence of this in recent months with the Haelun'or v Fenn conflict for example in February in which the defenders did not reach an agreement with the aggressors to hold on the immediate forthcoming weekend from the onset of war. 

With this discussion thus far, your only offered compromise has been a hour. A Saturday warclaim with 1.5-2 weeks remains to be our position and reasonably fair as a timeframe for both of our communities.

Prolonging the skirmish until the 30th and 1st creates conflicts for my player base. If the war would proceed to a siege, the siege would reach the time of finals when no orcs would be able to play. Also, I would like confirmation if the request messaged privately to me by Drunkfailure is actually something you wish for a rule for this warclaim of : no allies, only mercenaries. Or am I just being lied to even more? The orcish playerbase is not a group of trolls, we are members of LOTC and want to be treated with respect. Something you refuse to show us OOC'ly.

TLDR: Warclaim is planned for 24th at 4 PM EST. If you need the start time adjusted. We can discuss this. Anything else, offer something in exchange.

I apologize for the personal offense that you and your community feel for the announcement as it was a misstep taken in hiatus and wasn't meant the way it was, with the severe analogy removed and its been an effort since to get rid of any potential or active toxicity, conflict is not optional and making it more palatable and engaging to the players between our communities is of mutual benefit. However my points were of gross incidents regarding how some Krugmar players had treated Elysium prior to this conflict.  With the particular ERP slander in the public Krugmar discord and even in game in the middle of the Elysium Square being abominable and remains very contentious when the community holds many underaged players which we work with constantly to combat the plague of predators on this server. The ‘poop’ raiding was also very uncomfortable, with my community being disrespected and given taunts in looc during the incident which was eerie. To those concerned with seeing the evidence of this, you are free to message me regarding this on Crines#2975 but it is something to take into stride and move on from, which brings us to my next point. 

I hope and pledge for a clean slate and a renewed effort to not make this into a toxic conflict, seeing immersive demerits in a ban war which I find necessary to iterate. Both Tigergiri and myself are currently in finals and working to do what we can with the limited time and commitments we are carrying which is reflective of both our playerbases as well, so this is a two way street. 
 

Additionally, this coming weekend is bad for both our playerbases with it stated by my person consistently in the discussion to be moreover unfair to the defending side.  While this list does include me it is not limited to me, if it was just myself I would be more than happy to let it go forward however it is not. I have discussed this with my community leaders before each post as we have tried to work on a better time and date. Regarding the accusations on Drunkfailure, his request was revolving foreign groups and mercenaries but I had spoken to him after new roleplay and ooc circumstances came to light. 

The 24th was pulled out of nowhere or basis with no consideration or feedback to Elysium's availability for that date. We were not consulted before it was put forward and now that we have been consulted I have expressed our concerns with it and offered numerous alternatives with a preference for moving it to the following Saturday the 30th at 4pm EST.

The choice you have is not between this weekend or the one after, it is between Saturday the 23th or Sunday the 24th. Even thought of putting it one hour later to accomodate the nation being attacked.

Elysium has been far more flexible than Krugmar, we have offered several alternative dates, wars are grounded in mutual respect of which you are showing a lack of towards my own player base and insinuating a forfeit , we have agreed on 4pm est and have made it clear this coming weekend is terrible. You are being inflexible, and its malfeasance to just decide the date laterally. 

This is a discussion, and I iterate again that it is fair with the Orenian v Orenian warclaim being put to rest for the Krugmar v Elysium to happen on the timeslot.

We made sure to give a one week notice so that the warclaim could take place the next weekend, not loosing anytime due to finals arriving soon.

We’ll also add the custom proposal that mercenaries on both sides, should not add any cost to the warclaim, as the time we now chose (Saturday april 23th 3/4 pm est) doesn’t work for a lot of orcs.

The 30th of April(Saturday) will remain to be the most fair for both sides, with the war team having seemingly accepted the warclaim on the night of the 17th. I'd revert and iterate to the circumstances freeing the 30th of April timeframe.  

The proposals of forfeiting and the custom proposal is declined.

Alright we agreed on 4pm EST. But Sundays are unacceptable and its objectively worst than the reasons cited for the Friday proposal I gave, it must be a Saturday. This coming weekend is especially bad, which is why I have presented Saturday the 30th especially now that the Oren Civil war has been decided which had the similarly fair warclaim arrangements for both sides.

5 pm is still terrible for the GMT community and EST community, which could span hours depending on how the skirmish goes. If they are any delays like previous warclaims, we would be looking at a 6 pm est start time or close to midnight for gmt.

 

We wished to give the community over a one week notice, which is why this warclaim was posted on Friday. We understand your concerns but a majority of lotc is est and gmt. Even our own players from near Oceania are not interested in this time.

 

I will stay with april 24th at 3 pm est, with the possibility of moving it to 2 pm est or 4 pm est.

For the timing I agree with your point and I am listening to the concerns you have for it but also worry about the Asia/Pacific players with such an early time. I know GMT is a big part of your community, it is ours as well, but so is our Asia/Pacific players. So we can... try for 4pm-5pm EST at the earliest, moving the time upwards? 

I'd iterate the 29th or 30th timeframe however, the proposed April 24th is disagreeable for me and many of my leaders alongside me have already scheduled irl obligations to detail even my own person having commitments and obligations running through this period so your preface is a shared concern as I am far away from home to be with loved ones and handling work.

Orcs will never ask another orc are moderation to loose their Friday night to oversee a warclaim. We don't want to delay the war any longer and that's why the 24th is a good date.

Orthodox Easter falls on the 24th, its a holiday that has been highlighted by some in my community. 6pm EST is midnight for Central European Time (CET) so I do understand your concerns, we can shift it to 5PM EST perhaps to accomodate more of the EU playerbases for our community. 

We can negotiate on the time a bit more, is 5pm EST doable to iterate again? We have quite a few asia/pacific players especially in leadership. Furthermore as stated before Sundays are just a non starter. All of our Asia Pacific player can't make Sundays as that is their monday morning and people have lives and things to do like work. I understand if Fridays people want free so why don't we look at Saturday the 30th at 5 pm EST?

I'd iterate the 29th or 30th timeframe, it is strenuous and difficult for my community for the literal next week. A two week time period is ordinary, hope we can reach accords!

The warclaim being on a Sunday will be an atrocious timing significantly due to the large amounts of ANZAC and Asian players in the community as it will be on a Monday morning for them. 

I will ask for the warclaim - field battle to be scheduled on the 29th or 30th(Friday & Saturday) at 6 or 7PM EST?

A Missive Distributed in the Western Hinterlands

There has been terrible chaotic darkness descending upon the Westerlands, and we shall need to be on the utmost vigilance for the lure of draconic vengeance has swirled the skies through the western territories. It is paramount to prevent innocents from being potentially harmed by the beast whose intentions are worsened by its abysmal draconian origins, suggested to the volcanic wastelands of the north-western regions of Almaris. The great crisis which had engulfed the Elvennese capital of old, scorched asunder by the draconic being known as Azrdromoth is fresh in the minds of many soldiers of the Westerlands who have put their lives on the line to fight and resist the destruction.

A menacing beast of a bygone age has seen collaborated testimonies of its sightings to suggest that it might be a Drake identified in older bestialities.

The Vigil of Light, homed within the boundaries of our realm has been toiling earnestly in preparing defenses where possible, and paladins and acolytes have been readied and informed together with a resounding bastion to reinforce against the draconic beast. Fire scorpions continue to be deployed as a matrix of defensive structures continue to be overlaid within the city and the mission has been expanded to even include both the Elysium Army and the unaffiliated protectors of the city. In addition to these would also be reinforcing the city reserves, such as arrows and crossbows supplied by the Bokolo Company, championed by the financial ministry, in a multi-tiered holistic effort to meet the arduous challenges looming in the skies above.

Even then, our self-defense forces prepare for our freedoms and to defend our hearths, finding new allies and leaving the opportunities of peaceful accords with old enemies that wished for the olive branch of peace. A public reply to Emerald Guenevere from the desk of Eugeo de Astrea

Lady Emeralda Guenevere, the purpose of the public inquest is to provide information to understand and gather the testimonies of all those present in the situation. As the Astreans and the Guenevere have virtually opposing testimonies of events after my familial investigation has been concluded, with both sides and their supporters spreading opposing narratives.

The power dynamics at play has been concerning to me,  especially for a trial to be called within the domain. But I cannot ignore the constant assault against my daughter by your associates, which have only instigated to gravest incredulous accusations such as her wishing death on others such as the murder of the Solros matriarch. My ilk is not for you to bludgeon and harass freely and idling by constant torment of my daughter is absurdity. We are being forced to protect ourselves.

There is no value, or benefit for descendants to be embroiled in an internal conflict, especially with the storied relations of the Guenevere and Astreans families stretching numerous decades. I remain startled by the turmoil, and desperate for more information than to blindly intervene, forced into the defense of my family in a volley of worrying narratives that I have only known to be untrue, one worse than the other; in that my daughter is firstly a voidal mage which none of my bloodline is aware of and vehemently denies as a result, or that she would wish harm upon one of our own allies which is prudent. 

Though your entire missive begs a curious oddity, for if you are righteous alongside that of Liluth Solros, why have you not brought Leika to trial but instead resort to sanctioning your family to berate and slander my daughter to oblivion? The importance of an olive branch is vital, and I will be willing for us to meet, and speak our minds freely within my home if you wish to. There are no advantages to this turmoil worsening, and neither for the kindred heart to battle one another.

Either your ilk back their claims with evidence and rationale, and call Leika to trial or cease with your insidious rumormongering.

An Inquest on the circumstances regarding the situation with Leika de Astrea in the Guenevere household incident, Year 66.

Whereas the Sovereignty of Elysium with the advice of the Military Council thereof, has deemed it expedient that a Royal Inquest should forthwith issue to inquire into the past conditions and circumstances leading into the injuries and sustained accusations erupted from the parties involved in the Guenevere household incident that had occurred on Year 66, as the best means of caring and dealing with our people and esteemed patrician and ruling families in the future.

For know ye that we, reposing great trust and confidence in the zeal, discretion and ability, and have authorized and appointed and by these presents do authorize and appoint the said Lord Commander Ellathor & Minister Amethyst to be our commissioners for the purposes aforesaid.

We do these presents give and grant unt you, or any three or more of you, full power and authority to call before you such person or persons as shall judge likely to afford you any information upon the subject of this inquest, and to inquire of and concerning the premises by all other lawful ways and means whatsoever.

We will command and ordain by these presents that this our inquest shall continue in full force and virtue, and that our commissioners shall and will proceed in the execution thereof anil of every matter and thing contained, even if the same be continued from time to time by adjournment. We direct that you do with as little delay as possible report to us under your hands and seals your opinions and information resulting from the said inquest.
