I hate when people powergame even in D&D for instance a monk literally smacking a god and making it cry without being properly trained in the art of crane fighting! What is roleplaying?: - The act of taking on a character's life and choosing his/her path as your own. What’s metagaming?: - Using OOC information in the character’s world. For example: A stranger walks up and looks at your character card and talks/refers to you by name in character. In response i would say: "Hey i dont know you sorry, who are you?" What’s powergaming?: - Overpowering your character to do near to impossible if not impossible feats. For example: A character walks up and emotes killing you and tossing your body into a river. He had five brothers: Daryll, Wilfred, Kraig; and the youngest, Charley. Desmond’s father was a very competitive man, so he tried to press that upon his sons; he would hold a weekly competition between his sons, and the loser would go without dinner for the whole week. His father was a rather unstable man. Desmond was by no means the strongest brother. He didn’t win very often, but he did not always lose either. Desmond quickly learned that he could only win through lying. As most of his brothers were stronger than him he had to be the best talker out of all of them, so he could get his bread. His brother, Charley, was very fond of Desmond. He always looked up to his brother, and admired him for his golden tongue. Charley, although he was younger than his brother, was much stronger, and was able to compete well against his siblings. At the age of 17 Desmond was thrown out of his household like his brother before him. His parents gave him a direction to go and sent him on his way with his baby brother Charley, much to his protest.
