Y/N YES
  8. Please await further correspondence from us -Janus (And the answer to the pk question is: it is the former possibility, id think pking yourself immediately for such is rather unrealistic and rply unviable yes?)
  9. Please await further correspondence from us -Janus ((also technically that's not true, as the PK clause would also apply to getting your phylactery destroyed, not really sure on actual lore of that stuff tho so correct me if im wrong, but yea don't expect to be a balance monk or magistrate till you accept the pk clause))
  10. Janus sat in an armchair in what appeared to be an old, decrepit house, it was a cabin really, remnants of a once proud manor, now only what was left of the groundskeeper's hut now stood... A grey robed acolyte rushed in with one of the letters, handing it to Janus saying "I think you might want to see this High Magistrate" Janus looked over the document that was found, and not for the first time cursed the young and non-influential state of his organization at this time, he said upon the Acolyte "Be ready, it seems the insects are back... honestly anyone with half a brain can see that chaos is the very thing that causes ruin among the people" before dismissing the grey robed figure with a wave off his hand, after Acolyte had left, Janus remarked: "So much to do... so little time... but I will do my best, its family tradition after all" and as this scene drew to a close, a wry smile was plastered across the expression of the High Magistrate of the Order of Equilibrium, as he thought back to rather sentimental thoughts...
  11. I do no claim to know much, having only joined mid-vailor and with my computers annoying habit of having Wi-Fi failure whenever I tried to join an event or warclaim battle but if what Jentos says is true (and im inclined to believe him) then perhaps you could add a unique flair? I have two basis ideas for such, but of course let your creativity go wild! 1. the dragon can shapeshift to walk among the descendants, possibly tricking and manipulating some poor fools... (this might've been done but im not sure) 2. the dragon could turn out to be something COMPLETELY different, ex: a test devised by an aengul (wasn't there one all about order and justice?) so the vanquisher of the beast can become that aengul's champion, or perhaps the dragon is artificial, devised by a mad yet brilliant tinker of old? who knows! I would once again ask people to note my disclaimer message at the top, and not hate me for possible ignorance anyway, good luck! +1 from me
  12. I ask that you reveal who your Impera is first, to see if he is among our number, after you reply it shall be decided if you are accepted -Janus
  13. Please await further correspondence from us -Janus
  14. Please await further correspondence from us -Janus ((also a big thank you and shout out to you Cordial, its often hard to find people who are willing to accept PK clauses so thanks for the dedication, so yea shout out for being the first to accept the clause)) ((also please note that im dealing with a lot of irl issues right now, but expect me to follow up as said in the accepted apps soon, if all goes well ill be working on that shortly after this is posted, so yea sorry for the wait!))
  15. The Decadimento Family "As sure as ravens shall signal death, so shall we" -Raven Line Motto "Through our genius, we evolve" -Clanker Line Motto "In the abyss we shall find our redemption" -Witchdoctor Line Motto The Decadimento family is a family of commoners, seemingly not very notable, but despite their common birth they have enough tradition steeped into their family to outdo many of todays noble lines and their intrigues The Decadimento's are notably split into three linages, the Raven, Clanker and Witchdoctor linages each possess their own set of family traits prevalent in most of their descendants, as well as its own guardian figure The primary family tradition of this family revolves around the 'Guardian' of each linage, this guardian is an embodiment of that linage's ideals, and in times of crisis the eldest male of the line will often take the role of the 'Guardian' and act as a protector and savior, in such cases the next in line to become the family head of the line takes the role of family head, as the old head is declared 'dead to the family' with nothing but the 'Guardian' left The traits common in all three linages are: a skewed moral compass, manipulative skills and a tendency to undervalue life The Raven Line The Ravens are considered the 'primary linage' and often take the roles of leaders in situations where all three linages are involved, unfortunately this sometimes can make a turn for the worst when you consider the tendency in Raven Decadimento's to develop either Megalomania or Chronic Paranoia as well as having the worst moral compasses of all the linages, these are people that would slaughter women and children by the hundreds to rank up once or twice in influence, this ruthlessness can also work in their favor however as it also makes them dreadfully efficient Their Guardian is the Birdman and their family traits are: Little use to complete lack of a moral compass, Ruthlessly cunning and great assassin's and soldiers The Clanker Line The Clanker's are often considered the least 'pure' of the Decadimento linages, having alot of roots in highlander cultures despite the generally heartlander roots of the rest of the family, in addition they use the surname Zimmerkopf rather than Decadimento as the other two linages do, they tend to become great Tinker's, Alchemists and Scholars due to their tendency to have prodigal learning ability's and creative minds Their Guardian is the Black Golem and their family traits are: Prodigy level intelligence at young ages, creative thinkers and great explorers and inventors The Witchdoctor Line The Witchdoctor's are generally considered as semi-outcasts from the family, they were never officially outcasted or disowned but they are regarded with scorn from the rest of the family, this had to do with a long period where the Witchdoctor's continually birthed degenerates and rabble rousers, drawing ire from the church and generally causing much despair to the rest of the family, after a purge by a new family head the former Seeker Line was renamed the Witchdoctor Line, and their research into the workings of the world turned darker as they sought redemption in their studies Their Guardian is the Frost Doctor and their family traits are: Iron wills to resist various occult temptations, a good intuition into magical matters and great mages and scholars Notable Ravens: Percy Decadimento: Missing, with rumors circulating about his possible return 'The Birdman Serial Killer': Deceased, killed by Norlandic Rurikguards Roland Decadimento: Alive (Can be played on request) Notable Clankers: Felix Zimmerkopf: Alive, current head of family line 'Maker': Deceased, cut down by a mob Huntley Zimmerkopf: Missing Newt Zimmerkopf: Alive (Can be played on request) Notable Witchdoctors: Brian Decadimento: Missing, presumed dead Nero Decadimento: Alive, current head of family line Wulfric Decadimento: Alive (Can be played on request) ((please reply with your thoughts and if you'd like to join, keep in mind that you can make your own character with approval, instead of just picking Roland, Newt or Wulfric))
  16. Please await further correspondence from us -Janus ((as stated previously it is highly unlikely you will ever become a balance monk or a magistrate until you can say a definite yes to the PK clause))
  17. The following is posted in every major city in Axios by men and women in gray robes A Statement to the Church of the Canon and its various orders and clergymen The Order of Equilibrium has noticed much animosity between ourselves and the people of faith, as such we would like it known that we hold no grudge or insult to you. We at the Order of Equilibrium may not believe in the authority of any god, but that does not mean we do not accept his thanks in our creation and respect him in turn. we would in fact wish to get along with our friends at the church, do we not have the shared goal of guiding the people of this world to peace and prosperity? We wish to petition the church to allow us to work together, rather than fight needlessly over an issue that gets in the way of the true goal of both of our good and well meaning organizations. In the interest of being open and ensuring to the common people that no treachery or deceit is intended we have posted this wish openly. We hope this will be resolved -Janus, High Magistrate of the Order of Equilibrium
  18. Please await a further correspondence from us -Janus ((also please note you will likely never become a balance monk or a magistrate until such time as you accept the PK clause))
  19. ((That phrase was meant to convey similarities in goals, not an actual connection, the CT Monks and the Order are two very different groups
  20. Order of Equilibrium #!#=====================#!# "The road to prosperity will not be found in Gods, not in Aenguls or Daemons or any other being of an otherworldly sort... no, the path to progress, prosperity, and happiness lay in us mortals and the actions we take, meddling immortals be damned!" -'Janus', High Magistrate of the Order of Equilibrium The Order of Equilibrium stands for one thing: progress of the mortal races, they might often be called a more aggressive sect of the Cloud Temple Monks, and rightly so as they seek to protect the future of the mortals, by any means possible... they strive to be as efficient as possible, and in this they can be rather ruthless, rejecting any and all notions of respect for 'Gods', they may accept their existence but never their authority. Ranks ================ The Acolytes: Clad in robes of grey, the Acolytes are the new recruits of the Order, tasked with menial work such as handing out recruitment flyers for example, they must prove their loyalty before being inducted as either a White or Black monk The White Monks: Clad in robes of white as their name suggests, White Monks represent the progressive and civil side of the Order, working to aid in diplomacy and societal progress, these scholars and politicians make new technologies and broker peace treaties and other such agreements, aiming to make the world a better place The Black Monks: Clad in robes of black, the Black Monks are the bringers of death, representing the aggressive, mortal defending side of the Order, these soldiers know that while war is an evil thing, it is also a necessary evil in a world such as ours, and as such these zealots strive to protect the mortals and defend the ideals of the Order until the day when their services are finally obsolete in a truly civilized world The Balance Monks: While the White and Black Monks do their duties with all the determination and resolve they can muster, the Balance Monks are the true paragons of the ideals of the Order, if a monk clad in the robes of black or white should prove beyond a doubt their dedication, loyalty, and belief in the cause of the Order, they shall be awarded the purple robes of these elite monks, to serve and protect the mortals of this world Leaders ================ The Black Magistrates: The two Magistrates of the Black Monks are known as the Magistrate of Fire and the Magistrate of Earth, the Magistrate of Fire deals with aggressive action, such as taking out otherworldly threats and waging war on those who would destroy the mortals, a master of strategy and a battlefield leader are the qualities of a Fire Magistrate. The Magistrate of Earth on the other hand deals with the other side of things, dealing with logistics and assigning bodyguards as well as rooting out spies are the tasks of the Earth Magistrate, being an excellent manager and knowing how to defend your assets are the qualities required of such a station The White Magistrates: The two Magistrates of the White monks are known as the Magistrate of Water and the Magistrate of Air, the Magistrate of Water deals with the creation of new technologies and the gathering of resources as well as recruiting new would be monks as Acolytes, great skill at management and a creative mindset are the qualities of a Water Magistrate The Magistrate of Air deals with the diplomatic relations of the Order with kingdoms and other such entities of governance as well as promoting the Order through various media outlets such as pamphlets and notice boards, to be successful in such a station the qualities of a keen mind and a feel for diplomacy and politics are favoured The High Magistrate of Balance: The High Magistrate is the absolute leader of the Order, he is the one who assigns the Magistrates, and has absolute authority in times of crisis or war, however a combined vote of all 4 magistrates can veto a decision of the High Magistrate if the Order is experiencing relative peace, it is an inherited position with the High Magistrate choosing an heir, if no such candidate is found before death, then the current Magistrates may vote amongst themselves as for one of them to take the position How To Join ================ "Would you like to hear about the new movement to change peoples lives for the better?" asked a gray robed man as you passed him on the street, he handed you a pamphlet, with information about the Order of Equilibrium and an application letter ready to be filled out, with the receiver address listed as 'Janus' The Application read as such: ((IRP)) Name: Race (any race is accepted): Age: Why do you wish to join?: ((OOC)) Skype (optional but recommended): MC Name: Do You Accept A PK Clause If You Leave For Purposes Harmful To Us Or Betray Us?:
  21. So ended the Birdman... But what of his legacy? many would say that was the end of it, the up and coming serial killer hanged and forgotten... But so many forget that evil tends to slip through nooks and crannies... And that the ties of loyalty, brotherhood and corruption can last... Forever! The loyal puppet shall search for the secrets of its creator, and possibly wreak vengeance in his name... The faithful brother will seek to restore family honor, and hopefully propel the Decadimento family to greatness... The old family friend shall seek the supernatural, so as to save the family to which he is loyal, but must beware the corruption he might face... Who shall succeed? who shall fail? the triumvirate inheritance of the Birdman will be fraught with danger... will the family prevail, or will it sink into distant memory? To be continued in a new topic...
  22. The Second Killing.... Morning on the 8th of the First Seed, 1597... another victim was found, just outside the capital of Norland, known as The Krag... one Alfred Boleyn was found dead in front of his own exports market stall, the wealthy businessman was found with a deep stab into the top of his head, and a crow feather tucked into his tunic collar... cause of death was determined as a drop attack from either a nearby wall or the top of the market stall... As of yet there is still... No evidence
  23. ((please note to avoid confusion he/she is not an actual Birdman, its just a motto and image, he/she wears stuff like crow feather clothes to give the IMAGE, but its not some actual race, thank you))
