Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Charles Matthew Richardson had humble beginnings, he was the eldest son of a fishing plantation owner, near Felsen, and had a lack of real friends, his father was a large broad man who had no sense of humour and was cruel to his workers by under paying, over working and giving them unfair and unfit rent and property. This caused Charles to believe that this was fair to mistreat people with less money. He witnessed countless beatings of the poor or the defenceless, at the hands of crooks and goons. Many people were kicked out on to the streets when they couldn't pay for the high rent. He knew that any crying or begging would only lead to pain and anyone who was crying was weak minded, all of this caused him to gain a complete lack of compassion. When he reached the age of ten he went to school where he learnt social skills and learnt how to read and write, he could never make real friends as everyone in the school knew who he was and knew his father. This caused problems as no one wanted to be friends with the most monster of the plantations son, as a unfortunate result he cant survive in social situations. As he got older he grew a interest in the army's that he could see fighting the orcs and goblins, he knew he wanted to stand amongst them... he KNEW he was going to join. So he took up areas of education that could help him to become an officer: History, Mathematics, Many languages that he believed could help him in later life (I couldn't find anything on languages), Sword fighting, Unarmed Fighting and Archery. In language, History and Mathematics he thrived and to this day can use such skills, in the combat skills he was less good at but could still hold his own in a fight. He kept practising hoping to join the army and get a high rank high in the military. To fight side on side in the Dukes War When he reached 18 he joined the ranks of the men and women in line of the Dukes war, fighting for what he believed to be a just and righteous cause. This stayed the same for a number of years, in fact it was only when he reached the age of 29 that he learnt something new. You see as the refugees came through the doors many wernt in the best of ways. Many were suffering from wounds that needed help and there were only a set amount of medics. Given his education he felt that he could help, it may give him some favour with his superiors. So he learnt some medicine, it was slow to begin with as many things are but he soon get better from watching the others, he soon because a medic extraordinary. The people he was helping often never saw his face due to high amounts of aggression. He would pull arrow shafts out but sew the splinters up inside. When the time was needed he retired from his retinue of army life. Packing his bags he made way from his small fort into the open world. Charles broke into tears but this just caused his father to hit him again for weakness, as a punishment he stood Charles in-front of them while he slit their throats stating that "this is for getting attached to scum like these" (i would just like to point out that all of this is before he was 5 years old yes i know its alot to take in when your so young but it shows his growing up to be evil but with bounders, also at this age your more likely to follow in what you see your parents doing) when he reached the age of ten he went to school where he learnt social skills (how to talk properly so no "inits") and learnt how to read and write, he could never make real friends as everyone in the school knew who he was and knew his father. this caused problems as no one wanted to be seen with "the tyrant of the slums" son. but he carried on as normal hoping to gain a high enough grade to rank high in the military, alas this never happened as while on his way home from a day of school he was jumped by some school friends who wanted his money and to "scar him". they stole his money, his lunch and a couple of gold coins. as for the scaring but they beat him and broke his left leg with big rocks (causing complete shattering of his leg and causing him to have to walk with the cane the rest of his life) this meant he could no longer become a solider. he passed the names of the children to his father who said he would "have a word with their family" needles to say the boys or their family's were never heard of again. when he was 16 he was gifted a dark oak cane with a iron and marble head to it, he was also given the job as the clerk and apprentice of his father (as his father was one of those "gangster types" that went from rags to riches from "hard work" and "effort"), that's when a tragedy hit the family it was when he was 21 years old and he was working along the side of the river recording the "legal business" of his father when a mob of angry lowlifes came stampeding down both sides of the lane. when they were half way there Charles could hear them chanting "DOWN WITH THE TYRANT" and "FAIR PAY FOR ALL" leading the charge was some of his fathers guards. when they reached him they attacked with ferocious assault and pushed him over the fence and into the sea below, Charles stepped back trying to bargain when he hit a wall. instead of hurting him they ran straight past and down the road towards his house, Charles ran (well more hobbled) towards the docks to travel into town where they wont get him, he arrived there to see his driver waiting on the boat. he ran down and told him to go after throwing a whole bag of gold coins at him. the driver went as fast as he could and they arrived there within the hour. when he arrived at the city he was unable to afford a decent house so he went to go and find work in the local slums. to his dismay he fond that the slums of the city were drowning in organised crime and thought he could find a market in this, so he went to the local bar wear all the lowlifes and jobless live, finding there solutions at the bottom of a bottle. he entered and shouted from atop a large centre table "why are you all here? have you no jobs?!" there was a brief silence before some one called out "yea we aint got jobs! no got a job mate. were all broke!" some people of the inn looked around in agreement, Charles responded with "why have you no job? this place is teaming with jobs! join me and you will be earning a decent wage daily" some of the younger drunkards perked up at that and one even asked "what will we have to do gov?" "well my dear boy" stepping of the table "whatever i tell you to, be it arson, murder, theft or dealing. you will do it and i will pay well!" the young boy stepped back at that and smiled "well im in then mate" he responded. Charles, still obviously in control, shouted out "raise your tankards if your in for my offer!!" about half of the tavern raised there tankards. Charles smiled a evil grimace "well lets get down to work. barmen my good man! fill these mens tankards with what ever their poison my be!" to this he got a cheer.
