Character’s name: Shanyeld Arduniel Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: Mali’ame Character’s age: 90 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (Shanyeld's past was complicated. Her parents had been together for centuries, though her mother had never before been blessed with pregnancy. Her father had worked shaping wood and tended to gather his own supplies. It was mere chance that he'd been out that day, on that path. Her mother would always swear he'd died saving someone, doing something that mattered, but the bitter truth was that he'd been murdered by dreadlander bandits. She didn't know why they had traveled so far into human lands, nor til the day she died did she know whom they were. Saddened by grief and unable to bear the condolences of friends and neighbors, she fled Laurelin to live in the Empire of Oren. The summer of 1488 was a year of surprises for the grieving widow. She found a new purpose serving the empire, healing her soldiers and comforting their widows. She found love in the friendships she developed, learning that she didn't have to feel guilty in taking joy where she could find it. And she found herself rather far along on a pregnancy she didn't know she had. In the early fall, she gave birth to her daughter. Shanyeld was her name, Shan from her father Arashan, and yeld from her mother, Neiryeld. Time passed slowly for the young girl. She spent her days with her human friends, sharing their loves, their joys, their pain, and their deep sorrow. And then, in the year 1572, Lorraine fell into regency with the empire once again. While generally willing to accept the situation, there are always those few outcasts who hate the idea of anyone they consider an outsider taking up the power they feel belongs to one of their own. While quickly suppressed, there were casualties. Specifically, a middle aged elven healer named Neiryeld Arduniel was murdered, along with several soldiers under her care. While she knew it wasn't the fault of all humans, Shanyeld found herself irrationally angry with them. Unable to contain her sorrow, anger, and shame, she fled to the forests. She lived alone for quite sometime, healing she told herself. That was six years ago. Today is the day she was found by the wood elves of her mother's one time home. Today is the day she found the chance for peace with herself, the humans, and her nature. Today is the day she began to learn of the Aspects and what they mean to her life. Her story begins anew with the friendship of the elf Eandyil Torena, and the wood elves who seem so willing to trust her in their lives. ((Note: Eandyil Torena, formerly Nathar, recently joined the Torena seed. He not only gave me permission to use his name, but has asked me to apply and 'Get it right this time!')) Personality Traits: Fond of travel, she feels shame in thinking she ran away from Lorraine. For this reason she avoids the place. She has found she loves working with wood, as her father before her, but finds solace and even contentment with the animals she has come to rely on as companions over the years. Ambitions: Someday, she wishes to have children. More immediate goals include finding fellowship among the elves, as well as finding a purpose in her life. Strengths/Talents: She isn't really, really good at anything, which is exactly what she'll tell you. She has found that she isn't completely bad at caring for animals, however, and considers that worthwhile. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Her people skills are lacking, nor does she know much of her elven heritage. Her mother didn't want to speak of her time with the wood elves, perhaps due to the pain of ancient memories. Appearance: She's five feet tall if she's an inch, brunette, and while she has no visible scars, they might show on her slightly tanned skin (paler than normal, but not so pale as, say, a human). Skin: Two notes on this skin: First, it was originally created as a human skin by DropKoala, then modified into an Elven one by Eandyil. While I'm using this skin with permission, DropKoala has offered to make me a more custom designed skin when he gets time to do so.

Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): My family was close to the Nathar family up until the mishap that caused their eldest son to be lost and presumed dead in the retreat of our people to the Fringe. I continued to travel with my family to the Fringe never forgetting my childhood companion. While planning to look for him, we never really had the time... and now we're here, in Atheria, and he's assumed to be lost forever. Now is the time for our people to thrive. After awhile I started hearing rumors that my friend was not dead, but merely lost and seperated from the rest of us during retreat. Feeling euphoric, I decided to go out from the Fringe to see if there were more to the whispers and rumors about my friend. To help fund my adventure, I decided to become a trader, and was hired to bring supplies to help with the rebuilding of the Sword Invictus new keep.
