      The Edict shall be made clear when one takes the oath, stating the mandate of our order as detailed by the first Edict Master, Ventus Hennington.

      In short, our mandate was to claim revenge for our brothers and sisters who fell when they were betrayed by Oren, long ago. It has branched out over the eras, but do not take our hate of Oren a discouraging factor; we welcome all races and skill types.

      Should mention, we no longer have much hate for Oren as a major factor in the guild. There's still a wee bit of bad blood due to past conflicts, but that's about all. Some of the guild's philosophy actually plays it up as more of a necessity to the world than an enemy.

Description: Height: Sentis stands at about 5'10". Weight: Sentis weighs in around 155 lbs. Body type: Sentis is of a medium build. Eyes: Sentis' eyes are a pale blue. Hair: Sentis' hair is white with hints of gray, tied back in a very manly ponytail that stretches midway down his back. Skin: Sentis' skin is a smooth, light brown. Personality: Sentis is rather thoughtful, putting the needs of those he considers friends before his own. Sentis has an ingrained dislike of humans, given the way that humans have harmed his brothers and sisters in the Edict since the beginning of their order. Have you read and agreed to all of the rules?: Yes What’s the rule you agree with the most?: If you run away from combat with little, or no roleplay, those involved are allowed to stop you. This generally means they will knock you down using PvP. Then they must revive you, so that the roleplay may continue. To be clear, killing anyone with no roleplay isn’t permitted. I find this rule particularly important because it not only ensures that you are not randomly engaged in PvP, but it also ensures that the combat is lore friendly. By saying lore friendly I mean that it avoids people attacking others out of character, thus keeping the lore rolling smoothly. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense to you?: No. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was searching for a roleplay and lore based server, LoTC seemed to be the best option. Character’s name: Sentis Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Elf Character’s age: 67 years of age Biography: Sentis was born in a small village on the outskirts of the Aegean lands. While he was still considered a child, the village was attacked by a small group of bandits. Sentis and his mother Erindel were two of the seven that escaped. Having been forcibly exiled from the lands of their birth, they had no options left, but to brave the Adrallan forest in an effort to survive. Sentis grew up in the Adrallan, not knowing why he was there, how he got there, or why he had the nagging feeling he should leave. This all changed on his 67th year of life, when he was walking through the outskirts of the forest and spied a stag just beyond the limits of the forest. As it turned and ran off, he followed, stopping only once; when he realized that he had in fact escaped the forest. He was now free to live the life that had been taken from him. And so he will. Personality traits: Generous, thoughtful, loyal, intelligent, a bit on the jumpy side (too much time in the Adrallan eh :] ) Ambitions: Having just returned to the normal world, Sentis wishes to find out more about his past, so that he can put it to rest and embrace his future. Weaknesses/inabilities: Has not had the chance to reintegrate into society so is viewed as an outcast, Does not fight well in heavy armour (generally prefers leather or none at all). Definition of metagaming: Using external information found OOCly and applying it to your character although they would not have a way of knowing said information. Definition of powergaming: When a player uses roleplay in a fashion that is not realistic given the situation, to perform actions upon an object or character.
  12. I apologize if this is a little long, I'm not much of a writer, more of an actor :P Lore aside, my IGN is in fact Sentis. I am fifteen years of age, but I have been well credited for being mature beyond my age. I am well and truly aware of, and accept the rules. One rule I would agree with most is staying in character as much as possible, it completely defeats the purpose of role play to break character. I am a student of the dramatic arts, as well as a player of minecraft, so I decided to try to bring them together by applying for a roleplay server. Your server appeared to be the best choice, and so I looked over the lore and rules of the server. I found the rules fair and the lore interesting, so here I am. Roleplaying is in my eyes, the art of inhabiting a character with the purpose of creating your own lore about said character through actions that you yourself decide upon, as opposed to following a scripted character. So basically improv, with a little help from pre existing lore. Metagaming is a strategy or method used in a game that follows a pre existing ruleset, as well as going above and beyond the environment or universe of the game, to create lore about the game. Powergaming is a method of gaming that pushes the players towards a common goal at the maximum rate one can achieve. My character information is as follows: Name: Sentis Gender: Male Race: Elf Age: 67 Biography, or lore of character: Sentis woke with a start, “where am I, why am I here?” Questions he asked himself every time he woke up. He could never find the answer, never quite grasp how he came to be there, why he had the nagging feeling he should leave. If he had had the presence of mind to think harder on the subject, he would have remembered that he had been born there, under the great canopy of the Adrallan. His mother had been exiled there after the village in which she had lived was raided by human bandits. But of course, Sentis did not have this presence of mind, he was caught in the spell of the Adrallan; or rather, he had been. He had been wandering near the edge of the forest when he heard a rustling in the brush ahead of him. This was not odd, life was abundant in the Adrallan, yet still elusive. What was different about this rustling of the bushes was what came out of them. A white stag stood before Sentis, an animal of beauty and purity, but, before Sentis could call out, it had plunged back into the brush; bounding towards the edge of the forest. Sentis gave chase, he had to catch the stag! He blundered wildly through the thorns and vines, trying desperately to catch up with the beautiful beast. And then, he was free. He stood in an open field, on the outskirts of the Adrallan, looking upon vast lands, fertile and sweet, bounding with life. For the first time in his life, Sentis the Elf was free, at 67 years of age, he had broken free of his curse and found the freedom of life! And so began his journey in earnest. Personality traits: patient, thoughtful, courageous (or reckless, depending upon who you ask). Ambitions: Sentis wishes to regain the life that he lost, to find out what happened to him and how he came to be in the Adrallan forest. Strengths/talents: good shot with a bow, has a knack for alchemy. Weaknesses/inabilities: has a hard time fighting in heavy armour. Appearance: height; 6’ 5” weight; 190 lbs Overall appearance; rarely seen not wearing his cloak, generally keeps his hood up, but is occasionally seen without his hood.
